I think I'm off to a good start. This is the roughest part of a grow for me so far. One thing that I learned from my past killings was to not get obsessive and that's the approach. I've got a way better understanding of feeding now. I was confused about feeding charts, thinking that it was mix and feed. Even though I checked the PH and PPM (incorrectly a few times) I'd consistently fry my plants to near death, bring them back with plain, proper ph'd water and then re-fry the next feeding. It hadn't dawned on me that the nutrient mix while being in the optimal PH range, mixed in right order and correct measurements, my PPM/EC was way too high for the stage of the plant. Yikes, I was feeding a toddler 3 double Whoppers with extra everything. And XL fries. You burn and learn I guess. The little girl was starting to look hungry so I took a shot and fed light nutrients with some hydrogen peroxide (will update the chart soon getting sleepy). I also punched a lot more holes in the bottom of the solo cup. Few hours later her leaves perked up like she was giving me a high five. Leaves are looking good too with a PPM of about 211. It's going to be a warmer weekend so I figure I'll crack another seed and put my 5 gallon pot to use. Possibly a photoperiod?

Sorry having issues uploading these pic went to week 4 somehow? But is actually week4 flowering, also brewing tea give my plants a little love. 05/09/2018 The boy's have been shaken twice a day last two days, dispersing copious amounts of pollen i mean clouds! It's forming layers in my tent, wish I could capture on video but its not picking it up😕 hoping it relates to strong offspring. 05/12/2018 Fourth week of flowering males are in overdrive! Making clouds of pollen I am gonna harvest some for later use (it can last 6months or more of stored correctly. I try and get video. Wish me luck👍🙏 05/14/2018 Harvesting pollen from the the boys. Video not greatest but you get the idea., Picture of #1 pollen and flower, will keep harvesting for a couple days, then cut off flowers and back to veg tent for more test. 06/18/2018 Coming up on sixth weeks after pollination, found two seeds popping out of the buds LAST week and I r germinated today!

D75 (04/02/2021): Glue Gelato has been in the closet for 24h. Banana Kush is ripening everyday. I might place her in the closet with light ON for one more week when Glue Gelato will be chop and in the tent drying. RH% and temperature are fine in the closet at the moment and it does not smell that strong with Glue Gelato inside. That give me an option to continue Banana Kush for more days in it. - temp in the tent: 22C light ON ; 18-19C light OFF - temp in the closet: 18-19C - water: approx. 3L of tap water for Banana Kush - RH in the tent: 42% light ON ; 45% light OFF - RH in the closet: 42-44% D76 (05/02/2021): Glue Gelato has been in the closet for 48h. I will chop her tonight! I will place Banana Kush in the closet with light ON. She needs at least one more week I guess - temp in the tent: 22C light ON ; 18-19C light OFF - temp in the closet: 18-19C - water: approx. 2L of tap water for Banana Kush - RH in the tent: 40% light ON ; 46% light OFF - RH in the closet: 42-44% D77 (06/02/2021): Banana Kush is in the closet and the environment is good at the moment. - temp in the closet: 18-19C - no water - RH in the closet: 42-44% D78 (07/02/2021): Banana Kush buds are getting fat. When I squeeze them I can tell that they are getting denser. She drink less water which is a sign she's getting closer to the end. - temp in the closet: 18-20C - no water - RH in the closet: 40% D79 (08/02/2021): I gave around 3L of tap water. Trichomes still look cloudy with no amber but I can see more of them and they look bigger. - temp in the closet: 20-21C - water: 3L of tap water - RH in the closet: 35-40% D80 (09/02/2021): She get frostier everyday! It's beautiful to see! She definitely have more trichomes than she had last week when she still was in the tent. The trichomes of Banana Kush are not yet at the same stage where Glue Gelato's trichomes was when I chopped Glue Gelato. I'm glad that I waited and that I did not chop both at the same time. - temp in the closet: 20-21C - no water - RH in the closet: 35-40% D81 (10/02/2021): I gave approximately 3L of tap water. She's a beauty but she's not ready. I said one more week last week... I say the same haha one more week! 😅😏 - temp in the closet: 20-21C - water: tap water, 130 PPM, PH7.0 - RH in the closet: 35-40%

Medium: Look, I love coco/soil, organic/synthetic just as much as anyone. I’ve never really hated on any particular method and each has its uses depending upon the environment. That being said.... hydro is likely to be the predominant indoor method for us going forward. It ticks all the boxes that the average hobby grower is looking for. Maintenance is generally pretty easy, while I’ve found myself monitoring ph and tds more frequently, I’m still only mixing nutes once a week instead of three. The hassle factor is crazy mitigated here: 1:. From a sustainability perspective, nute consumption is wayyyy down, saving more dolla bills y’all! Added bonus is that veg. Growth rates are just insanely fast. Easily a 2 week savings in time pre-flower🤟😎😳. It is a little bit of a tricky medium but once you dial in the ratios - smooth sail’n the whole grow. I can focus on training/maintenance instead of feeding🤟🤟. If there’s a drawback to DWC it would be that I’d have concerns about leaving it for more than a couple days when she’s in full flower. They just drink so much that It’s a constant top off. All told, far and away the most effective and economical medium we’ve used😎. Method 🎚️🎚️🎚️🎚️ Under this COB light system, the best method to date has definitely been a mainline. It’s got so much canopy penetration that we’re pulling down 16” long colas packed with well developed buds. The mainline training didn’t take long in DWC - roughly 4 weeks of veg. And she was ready for the flip. We only extended it a further 2 weeks to keep pace with another grow in the same space. Otherwise, I would’ve cut the veg. Time back to 4 weeks which would’ve made the behemoth of a root ball a little more manageable. We also iceballed the res. With frozen water bottles twice a day throughout the grow. Just to keep temps down and avoid any potential issues. Whether or not there’s a better, more efficient way to get these kinds of results remains to be seen. We’re still trying to strike that balance between faster veg. Times and maximized yields. If anything, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the hermie issue at the end had something to do with the root ball binding on itself due to size. The true culprit was an unanticipated light leak but still - The ball could’ve been 2/3 the size and likely have produced similar results🤷‍♂️. I’m giving the method a slim 4 because it was a great success but too long a veg. Yield/Harvest🌴🌴🌴🌴 Regardless of the final number, we had hoped that the yield would’ve been bigger. She’s a beauty of a plant but didn’t really puff out as much as we were hoping for. At least not a mainline on a 6 week veg. At 5.125oz we’re obviously not complaining and the colours in late flower were some of the best ever seen😎👌😎👌. What she did yield was frosty, dense and surprisingly stinky AF. I see no discernible difference in the quality of the terp. Profile vs. Any of our previous organic soil grows. For those who tout this as an advantage in soil media, I say get urself a bucket and a bubbler, then we’ll talk. Hydro is just straight up awesome: 1:. 4 palm trees on the yield - any haul north of 5oz is a great addition to the cellar: 1:😎: 1:😎. Props - many thanks as always to the gd folks who made the platform available for us all. Big pound to all those at the boof party. Got a bunch of outdoor and couple clones to tend to now. Hopefully be see’n all you peeps around. Thanks for stopp’n in👊.

Salutations, fellow cultivators and botanical enthusiasts! Welcome to the First Week of Flowering Report for our beloved Jealousy in the Power Buds competition. The journey thus far has been nothing short of spectacular, and now, as we transition into the flowering phase, the excitement is reaching new heights. To kick off this week, I decided to don my horticultural surgeon's hat and perform a series of strategic maneuvers on our green queen. The week began with a daring move – a couple of toppings to encourage a more bushy and compact growth structure. It's like giving Jealousy a little green haircut, shaping her into a voluptuous, floral masterpiece. But that's not all, my friends! A defoliation extravaganza ensued, where I carefully removed some of the larger fan leaves. Now, I can almost hear you asking, "Why on earth would you do that?" Well, it's all about optimizing light penetration and airflow, ensuring that each bud site receives its fair share of sunshine and fresh air. It's like orchestrating a botanical ballet, where every dancer gets their moment in the spotlight. Now, brace yourselves for the grand finale – taking some cuts. I know, I know, typically, we'd ease into these practices, but time is of the essence, and I wanted to put Jealousy's genetics to the ultimate test. The cuts were taken with the precision of a master sculptor, each one destined to become a clone, a green offspring preserving the essence of our marvelous Jealousy. And let's not forget the star of this green show – Jealousy herself. She's embracing these changes with open leaves, responding to the toppings and defoliation like a botanical maestro. It's like watching a symphony unfold, where each note played by nature results in a crescendo of growth and vitality. As we navigate this first week of flowering, let's tip our virtual hats to Zamnesia and Plagron for paving the way for this thrilling Power Buds adventure. Their contributions are the backbone of our horticultural success. A round of applause to the Grow Diaries community – your shared wisdom and green camaraderie elevate our collective knowledge. To my fellow contestants and growers, may your flowering phase be abundant with resinous wonders, and may the fragrance of success linger in your grow rooms. Here's to a week of strategic moves, green transformations, and the anticipation of a blooming spectacle. Stay green, stay inspired, and keep cultivating those dreams! As always, thank you all for stopping by, for the love and for it all. This journey of mine would just not be the same without you guys. The love and support are very much appreciated, and I feel honored and blessed with you all in my life !!! With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself and always do things expecting nothing in return, with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will respond in ways you can’t even dream of . Friendly reminder: all you see here is pure research and for educational purposes only. Genetics - Jelousy @Zamnesia Nutrients @Plagron Light - @viparspectra P2000 Room size - 3x3 - 0,9x0,9

Updated the official lab result for this specific plant... thank you spliffseeds, its great to know what youre smoking... Its amazing how a 55 cm plant can yield 120+ grams of dank dry buds, important here was the training and filling the cannopy, scrog net would help me in terms of supporting her coz as you see on pics i harvested her after 3 days of no liquid and she just fell down coz buds were to heavy... and throughout the process i had problems with holding branches in one piece lol so i had to do all the funny bondages with green wire, sadly i dont have pics coz i couldn make a clear photo of how and what did i connect together.
