Plans this week: new bluelab guardian connect coming (ph/ec/temp monitor for the reservoir tank) I think I’ll finally mount things neatly on the wall. More pruning the lower canopy; and some low stress training maybe. I hope the flowers keep maturing and start really gaining some girth this week. I’m excited and hopeful but a bit scared of the pk booster and overall nutrient level/EC increase - I’ll keep watch for nutrient lockout etc. Other: Utility sink/drain/water line install I hope. This grow is taking up all my “project time” - Hopefully I can finally spend some time on my arcade cabinet project starting this week. The plants didn’t get light for 37 hours the other day (6/23?) . I had removed the lights to build the frame. I thought I had everything ready for a quick swap. And then I got sick; daughter’s car broke down; my plan for the light frame wouldn’t work; I ran out of angle aluminum; and did I mention I got sick. Anyway they missed only one 12 hour light period plus 1 extra hour (plus their normal dark periods before and after- so that’s how I calculate 37 hours) They actually seemed to mature and redden a bit faster with the extra darkness. Gotta think positive. Upgraded the tent! (6/24/19) It’s now a hydropolis 3x3 “plus size” (extra few inches bigger all around and 8 inches taller than my old vivosun) - much nicer. Wow what a tough job. Very tight space in my room. This is way too late to be moving plants to a new tent - but sliding the old removable tent bottom with all four plants and scrog all at once over to the new tent wasn’t as bad as I feared. Setting up the whole tent again and moving everything was a pain in the ass though. I did a little pruning of the back side of the plants which I hadn’t gotten to in a while - some dead leaves under the scrog mostly. I wonder if all this trim (from recent days too) is gonna yield any amount of even sorta decent bubble hash. I’ll freeze it and try. I hope they like their new home. I did a lot of the swap and setup with the lights totally off in my basement and using only a green headlamp. Argh. I partially failed in my effort to make a complete aluminum frame. I didn’t include the 4 solstix in the frame. But I did make a frame for the two HLG 135s - I re-hung the solstix individually and with their lame individual drivers that are underpowered (I’ll get to the the rewiring and driver replacement one of these days)- I added the far red puck, and I finally added the new HLG QB36 UVA (I’ll try it for the first time tomorrow - with sunglasses on!) - update: tried it. Seems pretty sweet - wish I had some directions or some idea if I should only be using only one stick like I am or the entire 4 that I think they sent me in error. I’ve got a reasonable amount of space between my lights and top of canopy now (15+ inches) - if the damn stretch is finally done I might be ok. I really shoulda flipped sooner like everyone warned me. Live and learn. The utility sink/drain line/water line is still not installed - so I’m still carrying water up and down stairs which sucks. I’ll use pk13/14 this week after this rez tank empties and I give it a good cleaning in a day or so. I’ll also continue to use mammoth p and all the other nutes. - ok tank cleaned and making a new soup for feeding later today (pk 13/14 started on 6/25/19 11:30pm - I plan to use it for 7 days??) I changed the drain/waste bucket to a small bin - and placed it inside the tent — it works well with the condensate pump- so tomorrow I’ll drill holes in it, install grommets and run the drain lines to it permanently - which will be much better than the 5 gallon bucket sitting outside the tent in my small space - plus the gravity drain lines were a pain coming out of the tent and I had to weigh them down to keep their height below 2.5” - now it’ll be just one pumped line. - ok done. I drilled a bit too fast and cracked two of the holes. Siliconed it for now- I’ll replace the little bucket this week or next - it’s fine for now. (6/25/19) So much better! - now no more gallons of water weighing down the drain lines and no more drain lines coming out of the tent - except for the single pumped line that goes out the standard tent hole. And so much neater in the tent etc. Woot!

Well Week 11 was another easy going week no difficulties buds still swelling I'm thinking still 3 more weeks but she is moving along

Ok so this week I did a defoliation and a tigh down too the netting , I really was not planning on doing such a big defoliation but the leafs became thick and dense and there was almost no light penitration down too the lower branches of the plant , so she is opened right up now and the humidity and temperature has dropped loads and the air is moving alot better around the leaves and branches , I will not take anything more off her now , I have also added Cal mag too the nutrients for this week only , she is well into pre flower now but the stretch has not yet started so I figured it's no or never too defoliate and tigh them down , I am very happy with them so far and being new too all this it's all very exciting , Thanks for looking :)

Was a smooth week. Did a flush and fresh nutrients. Kept the nutrient dose the same since everyone looks happy. Started training and trimmed a few leaves and branches off. I plan to switch them to flower after week 5. Will probably top this one again since she is growing pretty fast. Still pumping nutrients 24 hours.

I've had some trouble since transplanting. Seemed to be either, root rot or perhaps a potassium deficiency issue. The leaves were all yellowing from the outside moving in, starting on the lower leaves, growth didn't stop though. Anyway, I watered with natural liquid-based fertilizer and it seemed to have corrected itself.

Start of week 5

I have gone through the tent this week, and I have removed a lot of the lower branches on the plants, as they're not going to grow into big colas or anything. So it's better not to waste the plant's energy, developing those to hopefully redirect it into the larger flowers. Orion F1 Liquid Nutrients. The plant is developing the buds. Now, it has stopped growing vertically. This plant is 1 week behind the other plant in the experiment due to some nutrient issues. So it's not quite as far as long as the other one. However, it is not going to be as big a plant. The buds are developing nicely, and even though we might get a lot less, it will be nonetheless good, Bud. Hoping for some big colas, that would be really nice! 😅 The plant is really developing the flowers while they look really dense, and like they will be some very top shelf buds! The buds are beginning to stack on weight now, and hopefully, we'll just see the colas become larger and larger as we go on from here! I'm really impressed with the organic dry amendment plant, and the organic dry amendments are really working wonders, and that's been really eye-opening for me during this experiment! I'm very pleased that Royal Queen Seeds were kind. Enough to allow me to try this experiment with some of the F1 hybrid strains. It has been, and continues to be an extremely exciting experiment, and I am again learning more and more with each plant. I cannot wait for harvest and to see what these buds look like after I've dried and trimmed them! 3.8.25: I watered with 2ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.2 with; 💜 1ml Trace PH: 6.2 PPM: 371 I've just been keeping the medium, not bone dry, but there were some fungus gnats. So I have let it dry out more than I usually would probably, because I wanted to sprinkle some Diatomaceous Earth on the soil, and it only works when it's dry. 4.8.25: I watered with 3ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.6 with; 💜 3ml Ecothrive Trace 💜 1.25 TSP Ecothrive Biosys PH: 6.6 PPM: 385 I am going to top dress next week as I checked and it has been exactly a month since I last did one. Just water again this week to help with the flush along with some light defoliation. The majority of the trichomes look mostly cloudy now and I’ve started to see a very small amount of them turn amber so all going well I will be turning the lights off for 48 hours some stage early next week. The buds have developed really well from the bottom up over the last couple of weeks and are stacking up nicely. The smell has also seriously increased this week. 😳

These are from Jamesloudgenetics first time i ever try them , 54 out of 55 seeds popped with 51 out of them looking healthy , fingers crossed for a good season .

Week 5 Did my second topping on both headbands

Here we are at the halfway point, after the first month our photoperiod plants are multiplying their florets and then going into flowering. The Purple Urkle has just undergone the topping of 8 florets, you can see the 4 fresh florets just cut. So we are at 8 very small branches growing my program for photoperiodic plants is to get to 16 wait a few days and move on to flowering. 16 Tops as I see it is the perfect size for the 11 liter pot. You are going strong from the beginning there was a bit of a shortage but as I explain this week during the topping everything changes. We are in competitive days, the world lives the competition in a lively way and so if someone were to ask me or were interested which is the best of the photoperiodic plants I have inside for now I would say the Purple Urkle. Topping is an extremely delicate moment as regards cutting the tops to split them, we always take care not to damage the new branches in growth. Topping is also a delicate moment as regards fertilization because the plant slows down and absolutely does not need all that nitrogen that it would normally need and that the producers recommend in their sheets. So you should arrive with the plant green and perfectly fit at this point and dose the fertilizer very well for growth. Mine came from a slightly deficient veg because I kept it low fearing this over effect during the topping that I know well and now they are a bit over. Nothing to worry about, of course, but if you do repeated topping my advice is to use preferred soil or prepare the soil with Monster Bud Mix by Zamnesia or Plagron Super Mix, in short, enrich the soil and from the start and add nitrogen only if necessary, especially during repeated topping. In any case, everything is under control and I will demonstrate it to you during the flowering phase. Wait for the Uncle BreadandBuds and see what he does. Remember the cold temperature makes the girls absorb food much more slowly than in summer so be careful to give the right amount and to dry the plant in maximum 2 days or you risk imbalances. The plants are coming along nicely for the most part. I have been finding bud rot in big mama... not much but I'm a little bit worried. I've been cutting it out when I find it. The trichomes are cloudy with sparse amber. The wind has been a concern the past week or so. I shared a video which kind of gives an idea of what we are dealing with. We are looking at harvest two weeks out - max. Maybe sooner. FFT2 is significantly behind the other varieties... fattening up more slowly.

week 5 of veg flipped to 12/12 on 12/15 first week of flower comming up lets see how much these ladies strech to the light i have it maxed out in the tent so i hope i cam leave it full blast for flower.
