Hello everybody! Here we are a week later and I’m starting to see some nice improvements and developments. This week I fed all plants pretty heavily with Recharge and Dolomite Lime (and a little Cal Mag). The plants seemed to like it, the color is really coming back to a nice shade of green instead of the pale yellow’ish green and I'm starting to see nice bud sites developing! I’m going back to my normal nutrient routine this week and think it should be fairly smooth sailing from here. One negative is I seem to have inherited some bugs from my wife. She asked me to put one of her outdoor plants in the room so it would survive the winter, well it looks like that plant was infested with bugs. The little f’ers had a feast on some of the leaves. My wife gave me the OK to toss the plant, so with the plant removed it should be fairly easy to irradiate any remaining bugs with some sticky paper. I’d like to say thank you to all who answered my question regarding recommend reading on cannabis. I’m selecting the answer for the Grow Bible by Greg Green because I was actually unaware of that one. I’m familiar with the Cervantes and Rosenthal versions but not Greg Greens. I’ll be ordering that book after I receive and finish “True Living Organics” by The Rev (should be here tomorrow). This week I have a new question for my GD friends…. CO2? I have not been using CO2 but EVERY book I read recommends using it, I’m not prepared to go out and buy a CO2 tank, regulator, etc… at this time. Has anyone ever used one of those CO2 bags? Or do you have any DIY CO2 solutions you can recommend? I’m looking forward to your answers on CO2. I’ll leave you this week with another interesting excerpt from “Marijuana Cultivation Reconsidered: The Science and Techniques For Huge Indoor Yields” by Read Spear: “I prefer to use high-pressure sodium lamps. With the exception of LED's, HPS lamps are the most efficient source of light you can buy, both in terms of light output and light spectrum. Having read nearly every book on the subject of growing pot, I feel that their authors tend to overemphasize the importance of light spectrum. You do not need to alternate between metal halides (for growth) and sodiums (for flowering). That is an oversimplification of the plant's light requirements. You may do this if you like--it certainly won't hurt--but I firmly believe that the gains are just not great enough to justify the cost of the extra MH lamp.” -Read Spear

Another smooth week with the continued issues ive previously addressed. Trichomes are multiplying and buds have grown some. With the dehumidifier running pretty much constantly, it has bypassed my carbon filter. (I have my dehumidifier extract from outside the so I'm not adding additional, unwanted, heat.) Smell is very evident within the entire room. Final week of feeding and I have turned my reds down to 50%. Took trichome shots for fun around the front of the plant.

Week 2

Howdy, Flush time, based on close ups, she’s more or less ready soon. She’s being flushed as we speak, with pure RO water added to tank. Residual nutrients in there is fine, I think PPM will be around 250 - 300. In 36 hours time, she’s going to have her lights turned off for the last time and will be left in the dark for 36 hours. So she’s being cut down 61 days after flip if all goes to plan, which is in line with breeders detail at 60-70 days. Only Tea and Hydroguard will be added to water. Humidity in room will be controlled at around 58 % RV.

It is a vigorous plant with very uniform branching, high resinous and high yield, if you grow from seed there are a few different phenos that I got, equally as good

2023/06/19 : nitrogen deficiencies so more orgatrex+bactrex and one more boom boom spray. Almost every plants have pistils now so this is first flowering week I guess... Just got missing stuff I was waiting for (PK compost tea and oxygenation kit) so I'll be ready in a week or two with compost tea (watering every 1/2 week and spray) and bio PK booster (every 1/2 other week) from Biotabs. Light is now at 40 cm, dimmed to deliver 40 DLI with 18/6 day/night. CO2 level is near 700 so I'm thinking about introducing boost buddy to the ladies. They're from 17 to 27,5 cm tall and strectching with big internode space. 2023/06/20 : I removed everything on the lower node, adjusted tutors, completed coco level, etc : #2 - 25 cm first pistils are coming out #3 - 23 cm pistils out #4 - 27,5 cm pistils out #5 - 17 cm very late because of the f@cking jiffy who didn't let the root freely get out 😭 #6 - 25 cm pistils out #8 - 24 cm pistils out 2023/06/23 : still stretching a lot! English: I decided to switch to 12/12 after week 6. The risk of the plants becoming too big for the tent was too great for me. Since switching to 12/12, I have also reduced the amount of water and am trying to push the EC in the substrate further in the 3.5-5 direction. I am still giving the full dose of Grow A & B and will continue to do so until week 3 or 4, depending on how they develop. I will also increase the PPFD from 500 to 900 within the first 3 weeks of flowering. Everything seems to be working well so far, the ladies are growing and also got their next defoliation at the end of the 1st week of flowering, as it was getting very dense. New updates coming next week :) Deutsch: Ich habe mich doch dazu entschieden nach Woche 6 auf 12/12 zu switchen. Das Risiko, dass die Pflanzen zu groß für das Zelt werden, war mir zu groß. Seit dem Switch auf 12/12 habe ich auch die Wassermenge reduziert und versuche dadurch den EC im Substrat weiter in die 3.5-5 Richtung zu pushen. Ich gebe weiterhin die volle Dosis Grow A & B und werde das auch weiter bis Woche 3 oder 4 tun, je nachdem wie sie sich entwickeln. Außerdem werde ich auch den PPFD Wert innerhalb der ersten 3 Blütewochen von 500 auf 900 hochfahren. Scheint so weit auch alles gut zu funktionieren, die Ladys wachsen und haben am Ende der 1. Blütewoche auch ihre nächste Defoliation bekommen, da es doch langsam sehr dicht wurde. Nächste Woche kommen neue Updates :)

So I'm starting to think it's a male. But..... I do know it a photo and not a auto. So it may take a little longer to actually flower since it growing out side I can't control the light so I have to wait and see🤞🏾🤷‍♂️🏿

Week 11....

Growing really well, still think this one will be my heaviest yielding! She’s covered in a thick resin and continues to push pistils out, this one may have the density I’ve been trying to get. I think I’ve finally figured this strain out, looking forward to the bud off this girl. The bud that was pollinated is beginning to yellow, I will likely go ahead and snip that off towards the end of the week when the seed pods begin to open but before the seeds actually drop. Some of the other plants that had buds that were pollinated have already been harvested for the seeds. I left the remainder of the plants to finish up.

Attention to detail

Day 7 i I transplanted the seedlings in jiffy’s to the DWC basket water level was “just” touching the bottom of the basket which meant there was 1mm- 2mm air gap between the water level and the jiffy’s. The high pressured air in the water to spit when air was released at the top which kept the bottom of the jiffy moist which had minimal roots showing to the exterior of it. Day 7-13 I originally had 7.5 litres of water that was to the bottom of the basket. I replaced the water on the 13th which meant the water was changed after 6 days at such an early stage I will regularly change the water in the buckets. You can change every 7-14days but I am taking no chances. I refilled and added nutrients on Day 13 which was yesterday. And the plants are doing really well and are a nice VEG green colour. Hard to tell on the pictures with the light colour but you can see their progress. When I replaced the water this week I put 6.5L of water in each bucket With nutrients PH’d as close to 5.8 as possible. Some varied from 5.72 - 5.9. I have noted these on each bucket so that I can check if one does better than the others or shows deformities or stress I can amend it to match the others but hopefully not in such a close proximity of 5.8ph with an EC of 700+- The roots are now showing in every pot with the longest being some 6inches. The new Wakyme grow light is top notch so far with VEG button on only. Anyone contemplating buying one it cost me £99.00 from amazon and so far is performing just how I would like. Humidity has been taken care of with a cold air intake fan which is pulled from another area of the building of a cooler environment. Temperatures are spot on where I want them but I do allow a 2degree +- allowance but it does change back to its original temperature quickly enough. 5 more speed bud germinated and 2peyote critical feminised photoperiod germinated. Crystal candy XL auto ordered x10 Gorilla glue, Pineapple Express and Cali Kush waiting in the wings. I have these already If I can be anymore help to anyone let me know. i removed a bit of half dead leaves from plant 1 at the start of the week and i have been flushing both plants since thursday, they both will go into extended darkness this coming wednesday

Over all was an amazing grow, super sticky dense nugs with smell of berries, highly recommended for everyone!!
