Hey yall! Happy New Year!!! 😊 šŸŽ† šŸŽ‡ 🌟 🤩 Hope yall are having a great Holiday season. In an attempt to finish this harvest early, as stated previously, I am switching to 12/12 lighting for the flowering period this week! Super stoked as the girls are looking good and have a canopy that is mildly acceptable to me, if I had more time and a larger tent, and not a baby on the way I would veg more. But it's all good, because I wasn't the most confident in Beaver Seeds, although their genetics looks good, there are so soooo many great breeders out there. Anyways I topped the shorter girl early this week and topped the taller girl just about 3 days ago, she has recovered enough for me to feel comfortable to switch to flowering. Also the leaves on my tall girl's right side was getting burnt from my humidifier being too close and the moisture droplets started to fry under the bright LEDs. Temperatures are almost always fluctuating, that and trying to maintain an ideal VPD has been most struggling. Although I haven't dialed in my grow area, and changed where I was growing twice. Get it dialed! Get it dialed! I did at Fermented Irish Sea Moss, I obviously did not collect this from the ocean since I am nowhere near Ireland. But I had it on hand and it was going to waste. Use what you have locally or what would go to waste. Also made some new Fermented Aloe, very easy and I highly recommend it! Also just ordered a C02 meter, adding some DIY C02 with yeast, water and baking soda. Will let yall know how effective it is and get back to you on recipe info. Please ask questions, always room for more conversation! Peace and Love, The Fatty McCoy

Days 35-42 (Day 36) Some minor problems starting to arise here. A few times this week it got up to 90+ degrees which I think may have caused a bit of heat stress in some of the plants. I’m seeing a bit of cupping/crinkles on some of the fan leaves and some of the new growth is looking pretty gnarled and twisted. I hear windburn can cause this too so I’m turning my fans down to low speed. This could also be a problem with humidity so I’m going to turn off my humidifier, dim the lights and raise them. During my last feeding I mulched in some worm castings but it seems like they’re keeping the soil/coco from drying out. Pots are still decently heavy and even the surface is still quite moist but they aren’t showing any major signs of overwatering. I figure it will only be a few weeks before the castings break down so I will just leave it. A few of the plants are starting to show yellowing leaf tips which is probably some kind of micro nutrient lockout from my PH being slightly too high. It could also be from nute burn so I will water in 6.0 until I see some runoff. Although the most likely culprit is potassium excess. I’ve been feeding potassium almost as much as nitrogen so far. I know that can cause the yellowing of leaf tips by locking out trace minerals. It can also cause leaf problems like crinkling. Excess K can even cause water retention! Will water at 6.0 until run off next watering. The lst is coming along nicely. It was a good idea to remove the first two sets of branches (not leaves). Now I have 4-6 perfectly even stems coming from each plant that I plan to top one more time each. (Day 37) Today I’m going to vacuum, clean, wipe down and spray all my equipment in the tent. I’ve been letting the floor get quite dirty and I haven’t had the chance for a thorough clean since last round. I’m kind of surprised I haven’t seen any powdery mildew yet. I guess the prevention spray is working because the room has to be infected from my last crop. (Day 40) I was reading that you can foliar spray whatever you are deficient in for an immediate uptake. Iā€˜m going to try that with my current potassium excess since it locks out trace minerals. I’m going to foliar feed a bit of phytoplankton at 15ml/L and some MagnifiCal + VeloKelp from Remo nutrients both at 5ml/L. The cal mag is not organic but as long as it’s not going into the soil and doesn’t contain chlorine I’m fine with it. I’m also going to be changing the light cycle to 18/6 for the remainder of veg. This will be their first dark cycle so they can properly foliar feed. Edit: humidity shot up to 85% a few hours after foliar spray. I went to top dress everything today and I mixed up the plants while doing so! So the ones I was unsure about I gave 1 extra tablespoon. I won’t top dress again for at least 10 days. Might give a light tea sometime next week. I also tilled the shit out of the top of each pot. It had a hard crusty layer on top that was keeping the medium from drying out properly. I’m not going to water again until everything is bone dry. Then I will water until slight runoff at 6.0 ph with some Dr. Marijane bacteria/root probiotic. I’m starting too see a lot more of these abrasions on some of the bigger fan leaves. It almost looks like thrip damage but I’m 100% sure it’s not a pest above ground. It could be bulb mites, which I found in my worm castings but I can’t check until the roots are more established in their pots. The leaves themselves are cold and feel damp to the touch. I haven’t even seen a fungus gnat since I last fed. I’m hoping it’s related to the K excess and clears up with the troubleshooting. (Day 41) Just ordered a wire cube rack to prop my plants up with and help evaporation/root warmth. Each cube is 11.8ā€x11.8ā€x11.8ā€ and it comes with 16 cubes. So it will fit just perfectly in my 4x4. Depending on the size, I might order another one for the flower room where I would need 25 cubes.

Started a little training, cut down the older fan leaves and topped up. I’m adding a tiny bit of root stimulator cause changed the pot size last week so it will to promote a faster growth. Gotta keep this lady low cause the box is quite small. So excited šŸ˜†

Hello again, dear growers! šŸŒ±šŸ‘‹ We’ve officially stepped into Week 10 of this wild and fragrant journey! Last week ended with a little makeover for the girls—I defoliated about 30-40% of the leaves again. āœ‚ļø The Gorilla decided to keep me on my toes by showing some nutrient deficiencies on her leaves—guess she didn’t get enough food after the flush. šŸŒšŸŒæ (Lesson learned: don’t keep a Gorilla hungry!) Now, let’s talk about Runtz! šŸ˜ She’s an absolute queen—so photogenic that even my struggling phone can’t capture her real beauty. šŸ“øāœØ She’s forming into one giant, luscious bud, and her fragrance is something else entirely! šŸ•µļøā€ā™‚ļø The carbon filter is fighting the good fight, but if the room isn’t aired out every 8-9 hours, a little aroma starts sneaking through. But opening the tent… oh, my friends, that’s where the magic happens! šŸŒ¬ļøšŸ’« The aroma is intoxicating—imagine diving headfirst into a field of flowers while bees whisper secrets in your ears. šŸŒŗšŸ I just sit there, enchanted, savoring the smell, and staring at these beauties like a hypnotized gardener. Honestly, it’s hard to walk away. šŸ˜‚ Here’s their menu for the week: šŸµ Feed: A+B 4ml/L, Micro Chum 1ml/L, Big Bud 2ml/L šŸ“Š PPM: 1050 | pH: 5.8 šŸ’§ Runoff: PPM 1000 | pH 6.0-6.3 Now, for the not-so-great news… I’m struggling with humidity levels—daytime sits around 65-77%, and at night, it can climb to a stubborn 80%. šŸŒ«ļø Temperature-wise, it’s 23-25°C during the day and drops to a cool 16-18°C at night. ā„ļøšŸ”„ Despite the challenges, the endgame is near, and I’m savoring every moment of this grow!

🌱 Amnesia Skunk — Week 5 (12/12 from seed) First real signs of flower & structural development Welcome to everyone joining the diary at this stage šŸ‘‹ Here’s a quick recap, followed by a detailed Week 5 update. āø» šŸ” Quick recap — how we got here • 12/12 from seed from day one • Winter run, cold & humid external conditions • Focus on plant-led growth, minimal stress • No topping, no aggressive defoliation • Structure built through leaf tucking, gentle bending, and light LST Both plants have developed very similarly, with compact structure and strong lateral branching. No major phenotypic differences so far — which makes this run especially interesting to follow. āø» 🌸 Week 5 overview — transition into flower This week marks what feels like the first ā€œrealā€ flower week: • Clear bud sites forming • Vertical growth slowing slightly • Side branches pushing up evenly • Plants staying compact and well-balanced They’re stacking nicely and responding very well to the gentle training approach. āø» 🌿 Training & canopy management No heavy interventions here: • Continuous leaf tucking • Gentle branch bending • Very light LST, only where needed to open the canopy No defoliation beyond what’s absolutely necessary. The goal remains: let the plant decide, we just guide So far, this approach is paying off. āø» šŸ½ļø Nutrition & irrigation strategy (important update) āž• CalMag introduced this week Not because the plants are deficient — but because: • We’re using rainwater + dehumidifier water • These sources are very low in minerals • Calcium & Magnesium need to be present before demand spikes This also explains the EC adjustments this week. āø» 🚿 Hand-watered plants • EC: 1.43 • pH: 5.9–6.0 • Water temp: 22.8°C Carefully adjusted to support flower transition without pushing too hard. āø» šŸ’§ AutoPot-fed plants (6 plants) • EC: 2.29 • pH: 6.01 • Water temp: 22.8°C AutoPots are running mineral-only inputs, as organic inputs don’t perform well in this system. Higher EC here is intentional and controlled. āø» šŸ” Plant handling All plants are regularly: • Taken out of the tent • Checked for weight, water demand, and overall condition • Then returned to their position This helps ensure each plant gets exactly what it needs. āø» šŸŒ”ļø Environment (winter realities) • Outside: ~5°C, RH 92–96% • Grow room: • Temp: ~21.8°C • RH: ~58% Not ideal on paper — but the plants are not complaining, so we adapt and keep observing. āø» šŸ’” Lighting • PPFD: ~700–850 (depending on plant size and position) • Plants are praying consistently, showing good light response We let the plants ā€œdecideā€ how much they want to push. No forcing — just monitoring. šŸ”¦ Under-canopy lighting — phased introduction By the end of this week, we’ll be plugging in the under-canopy lights. The canopy has already grown past the main light plane, and the goal here is not to blast the lowers — but to signal the plant that light is present from all directions. Why we’re doing this: • Encourage lower and inner bud sites to stay active • Reduce the ā€œshade shutdownā€ response • Support more uniform flower development • Improve airflow and plant posture as branches respond to multidirectional light Important note: This will start very gently — low intensity, just enough to be perceived. PPFD and intensity under the canopy will be increased gradually, only if the plants respond positively. The idea isn’t forcing production — it’s communication. We let the plant decide how much it wants to use. āø» Fungus gnats — honesty section Yes, we’re seeing a small fungus gnat presence: • Yellow sticky traps installed • More intentional dry-downs • Actively monitoring, not panicking Personal thought (not science, just observation): A mild, controlled pressure may trigger subtle defense responses. Whether that translates into anything meaningful later… we’ll see. Either way, it’s under control. āø» šŸ‘½ New team member Meet Mr. Baggy Our new fluffy alien/beaver/whatever-he-is friend, won through a Grow Diaries contest. Expect to see him around — he’s officially part of the grow now. āø» What to expect next • Continued flower site development • Possible stretch differences emerging • Increased nutrient demand soon • Close monitoring of environment as winter progresses No big changes planned unless the plants ask for it. āø» šŸ¤ Final thoughts Same genetics don’t mean same results. Different environments, water, climate, and handling all shape how plants express themselves. I encourage everyone to: • Test • Make mistakes • Observe • Learn • Build your own understanding That’s how real cultivation knowledge is formed. Thanks to everyone following along — this journey is just getting interesting 🌱 Week 5 Veg/pre-flower | 8Ɨ8 Tent | Master Conditions šŸŒ External Environment (Context) • Outside temperature: ~5 °C • Outside RH: 92–96% (very high humidity) • Strong seasonal pressure influencing internal stability āø» šŸŒ”ļø Internal Tent Conditions • Tent temperature: ~21.8 °C (noted drop due to cold external temps) • Tent RH: ~58% → Very good considering outside conditions āø» šŸ’Ø Airflow & Circulation • Primary airflow: Bottom → top → wall return • Pattern: Full-room vortex circulation • Additional fans: Central airflow to break blind spots and mix layers • Goal: No stagnant pockets, uniform VPD across canopy āø» šŸ’§ Water Source & Rationale • Water: Dehumidifier water + rainwater • Base EC: force • Systems designed to support plant intelligence, not override it FOR DISCOUNT CODES AND MORE JUST FOLLOW THE LINK https://website.beacons.ai/dogdoctorofficial šŸ“² Don’t forget to Subscribe and follow me on Instagram and YouTube @DogDoctorOfficial for exclusive content, real-time updates, and behind-the-scenes magic. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. A great week for the sherberts. They have been topped and pinned and are growing out great. Always praying always happy. I wish my kids were like these two!. No dramas to report. They seem to like any enviroment they have been subjected to in order to keep other plants in the grow space happy. They take the cold just fine. they love the warm also. Only thing i found is they had issue sooner then others with RH over 70% ( i was running high RH to fix my Chibas) #1 has bee cleared of nodes 1 and 2 and will have another topping in 3 days or so. #2 i plan to grow out node 1 cut 2 and top 3.. Giving 12 colas in total after final topping. Started feeding some grow to them at an EC of 1.25. I was planning to repot but they seem okay atm. Maybe next week. I also dropped 2 hrs off the light scehdule so they are running on an 18/6 from 20/4. Added a little vid of the grow room ATMšŸ˜…šŸ‘ Thanks for stopping by. stay safe.. Grow well.

Week 3, Day 15 of Veg. Looking good and healthy so far. When they reach 6" I should have enough nodes to start LST.
