*****Week 16 growth – March 27 to Apr 2, 2021 – Week 8 flower ****** We are in the first full week of flush now. Color change time and more swelling😃👍 The fade coming from MM1 is awesome 😎 staring at her all the time. The smells coming off these girls is crazy. I find myself opening the tent zipper half way and then just letting the fan blow the aromas in my face for a minute😅😍🔥 Large citrus notes but a beautiful earthy under tone of a fresh morning dewy breeze.......F’n love it @emeraldtriangleseeds 😉👏 I was a little worried about this strain with the description of long and large for a grow but it’s been just fine. SCROG kept the height under control and they don’t appear to be taking longer than the other girls and all seem to fading similarly. Will start looking at trichomes soon but haven’t been too worried about them so far......we will be going a full 9 weeks, plus, anyway. The girls are drinking well with being watered almost everyday. Moving into the phase of letting the pots dry right out before adding more water to ensure they are finishing all the nutrients in the media. Again, really just keeping them watered when they want it and taking pictures at this point😎 Little more detail….. Mar 27/21, Day 50 - 4L plain water at 6.0pH - colors coming out on MM1 are impressive. - MM2 is going to be greener in the end.....she is slow to fade. Mar 28/21, Day 51 - 4L watering today with RO water. - 30ppm and 6.1pH Mar 29/21, Day 52 - cold in the tent today so turned the heater back on to brin up to 77 degrees. It was holding at 74, a little low. - nothing watered. Mar 30/21, Day 53 - 4L watering with tap water at 5.8pH - MM2 is not showing much fade. Mar 31/21, Day 54 - watered late in the day with only 3L of RO water - 25ppm and 6.1 pH Apr 1/21, Day 55 - dry out day Apr 2/21, Day 56 - light power reduced again and down to 300 watts. - plain water with tap. - 3L each 280ppm and 6.1pH Through week 8 and going into 9 now. Still some nutrient to keep working on in the leaves......give them a little more time💪👍

July 13: perfect cannabis weather after last week’s heat wave. Another heat wave next week, but for now it’s perfect. Added a third scrog layer and tied it off to some water bottles. This type of scrogging works, is easy, cheap, and it’s easy to still move the plant around the yard as needed. July 14: re-did the scrog net using a larger piece with more squares. Supercropped some ends to keep the growth tips at the same elevation. We’ll see how many colas I can make of this. July 16: looks happy enough but I need to up the water volume in this heat. July 18: really hot the last few days (33 C) so lots of watering and misting to keep them a bit cooler. Look really green and robust. 👍👍 Also wetting outside of grow bags to get some evaporative cooling for the soil. Added malted barley and Power Bloom to some soil and added it as a soil layer. Added plain soil on the top to deter birds from stealing the barley kernels. A bit less than 1 tbsp of Power Bloom per 1 gallon of soil with a bit more than 1 tbsp of malted barley per gallon of soil. #seedsman420growoff #seedsmanseeds

Well I’m closing this one out. I had a lot of problems with humidity outside and bud rot, in hindsight i read a few reviews in the last few weeks and purple kush is susceptible to bud rot. I did 2 separate harvest, one on the 9th and one on the 14th. I collected everything I could smoke, there is still buds left on the plants but because of bud rot and immature buds I’m saying fuck it. Sonoma seeds quotes 9-10 weeks flower i harvested at week 8 and week 9. I harvested just shy of a pound total, and just over and oz of “purple” looking weed. Between you guys and i, the purple one was pretty shwaggy as far as bud goes. Would i grow this again outdoors? NOPE. Would i try it indoors? You will have to stay tuned for my next grow. If you plan to grow this strain outdoors do not do it. The fact that it’s pretty much 100%indica it does not like to get wet,🤦‍♂️🏻 if you are in the desert, indoors or live in Afghanistan (lineage) go for it. The taste is also not quite what I expected, all the reviews say grapes, but i taste a neutral taste. Some of it smells quite good in the jars but as soon as you smell each bud it smells like spicy woody herb with some dank undertone. Trimming it i had some sort of dank spicy smell i just can’t put my fingers on, except it was all over them. The buzz is “ok”but nothing to knock your socks off with. It is a stimulating feeling followed by a calm “not sleepy” feeling. I haven’t grown many outdoor variety’s but I’m sure most of them turn out the same. I’m waiting for my indoor no name to finish and I can start trying to redeem myself with my leftover seeds, and hopefully get the true quality/if there is, with this purple kush strain. The 3rd week was a big one all plants finished stretch period and it was becoming a little wild for a second. I moved 4 of the bigger girls into their own room with their own 1000w LED plus a shared 250w HPS in the center. I will be tying down branches to get flat canopy then each of the 4 will be pushed more towards the center for better light coverage do not mind the setup its not fully there but will be finished before the end of the week. In the main grow room there is a single 1000w HPS cool tube running at 100%. To remove the 4 bigger plants I had to cut the entire trellis off the canopy but will be placing a new layer this week as well. As for nutrients feedings well clearly from the size of these girls you can tell they have been eating. In about 2 weeks I will defoliate one last time and then its them vs. the world til havest. so I think I overwatered a little bit at the beginning and it was super small pots. So at least they have good roots system so I transplanted into the final 8l pots. I did the mix with the substrate with the Startrex, Mycotrex, and the Organic Tabs (1.5 tabs per plant for me). And I watered with a little bit of orgatrex and bactrex after transplanting.

On day 13 they recieved higher nutriens EC 1 PH 6.4 Topped 4 plants on day 17 On day 17 I gave them another too hot nutrients solution EC 1.8 PH 6.5 can see some problems (in my opinion its nuts burn due not me realizing that soil was already a bit pre-fertilized + pushing everything too far due to its my first grow I found out at day 17, when I saw first signs - sadly I topped them that day and I brought them a lot more stress 😒 Transplanted plants into final 15l pots on day 20 Right now they are getting RO water only, will feed on day 22 again with EC of 0,9 I will aim for 6.2 PH as well EDIT: couple of people confirmed nutrients burn, so since I transfered 1l pots into 15l fresh lighmix, I will not feed until day 26 - they will get only hydro roots with RO water EDIT2: Forgot to write info about my light schedule - running lights at 240W and right now I am hitting around 375 PPFD with 18hrs on - so that is around 24.3 DLI :) I am checking it with LUX meter and converting to PPFD - then DLI

Cooled off a bit, trellis has been great! I made it modular so I can just slide it up the supports and she grows. It has really helped develop a nice even canopy and will help with support in the long run. Seen a few ants and aphids, nothing major, may up the Lost Coast sprays to every 5 days. Heavy top dress of homemade screened compost mixed with Gaia Green 70/30 AP/PB. All in all super happy with this strain, very easy, uniform growth. My other 7gallon same time/strain is 2 weeks into flower, but hates being contained, unlike this girl. Love the early flower in a smaller pot with the same strain to really see how she flowers.

Hello, the time has come We have harvested the Guava Slushy! it wa a long run she was such an amazing plant, I learned a lot had my ups had my downs! We made it through even tho we struggled with heat in these last weeks of flower causing the plant to be stunned. I am newe to growing and learning along the way! I am so greatful for this grow in the 5x5. I used half the plant to freeze and make bubble hash. She smells like sweet sweet melons oh my! I waited tell the thrichomes were milky!! I don't believe I'll need to do any daily updates for the rest of the grow. Everything is dialled in and I'm ready to use what I've learnt for the next grow. I will be adding to this week in regards to writing up a summary of everything I've learnt so far and how I expect to improve upon the next.

Everything is on point. I’m at day 35 of flowering. I remember a while back there were a lot of Barney’s farm haters saying they only got hermaphrodites or whatever their bs. Either you just sucked as a grower or you got an absolute fluke. Everything I have ever ordered from Barney’s farm has not only been stellar.
