This week I started her LST and bent her top over as far as possible without snapping and locked her in place. I use soft wire "Gear Ties" sold in the hardware section of most places. I got mine at Home Depot. I highly recommend these for anyone serious about Lst. I kept her in this position for about 4 days before adjusting placement and pulling the main top back down below the lower branches. I have been maintaining the same feeding schedule "week 4 hydro" 3/4 str main nutrients, 1/2 str Open Seasame. She started showing preflowers on me even though it's been in an 18/6 light cycle. So that's why OS and week 4 feeding was opted. Even though the plant was technically 2 months old, she's only been fed and treated right for 2 weeks now. So week 7 from seed, I started at the week 3 schedule.

The increased CO2 allows plants to thrive at higher temperatures, which in turn necessitates higher humidity to maintain the ideal VPD for healthy growth and transpiration. 80F -5F = 75F LST with 70% RH = 0.72 kPa. Higher temperatures and humidity promote rapid growth, nutrient uptake, and photosynthesis while maintaining a lower stress level. Temperature influences the rate of enzymatic reactions involved in aerobic respiration. Enzymes, such as those involved in glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain, work most efficiently at an optimal temperature range. In low temperatures, enzymatic activity will slow down, thus reducing the rate of aerobic respiration. In high temperatures, enzymes can become denatured, thus impairing their function and stopping the process of aerobic respiration. Glucose is the primary fuel for aerobic respiration. The rate of aerobic respiration increases with the availability of glucose, as it is the starting point for glycolysis. If glucose levels are low, cells may rely on alternative energy sources such as fatty acids or amino acids , but these processes may yield less ATP or be less efficient. To determine this effect, carbon dioxide volume was measured (as carbon dioxide is an output of aerobic respiration) 18/6 with the 6 being IR. The near infrared (IR-a) borders around 700nm up to 1400nm @ photon par flux density of 1.8 instead of darkness, keeping temps overnight a neat 77F-80F. Think of my tent as a lung. What goes in must come out. When the rate of air going out exceeds the amount of air coming in, it creates a negative pressure. Tent concaves (bends in). If set up correctly, your RH will begin to drop slowly to the desired level you set, and the extraction turns off when it reaches desired% RH. The plant, as it performs cellular respiration, will always be releasing more water into the air, so the RH% of the tent overnight will always increase, so long as oxidative phosphorylation is occurring. As soon as the RH% creeps back up to 55%, the extraction turns back on, over and over. This creates a strong pressure differential which will work wonders on your grow. Replicating high and low-pressure fronts in nature. Critical for oxygen diffusion at the critical time of peak cellular respiratory function.. Moisture will not transfer from a saturated atmosphere to another if that air is already at or above its saturation point, meaning the air can't hold any more water vapor. Once I understood that water is produced as a by product during cellular respiration, specifically at the very end of the electron transport chain (ETC) where electrons are finally transferred to molecular oxygen, the higher the RH of the air, the more resistance there is for more moisture to be added to that environment, and effects the ease with which it does so. But none of that water comes from the pot; it's pulled from the air. If you run high daytime RH, your medium/pot is 100% reliant on transpirational root pull to move water. ZERO evaporation happens across the atmosphere if the tent air has high RH%, the medium cannot release its water through evaporation. Once a canopy develops, light no longer slowly wicks and evaporates from the topsoil. The Soil-Plant-Atmosphere Continuum (SPAC) describes the continuous pathway and process of water movement, driven by a gradient in water potential, from the soil, through the plant's roots, stem, and leaves, and finally evaporating into the atmosphere through transpiration. There is evaporation, there is transpiration, and then there is evapotranspiration; Evapotranspiration (ET) is the combined total of two processes: evaporation (water lost directly from soil and surface water into the atmosphere) and transpiration (water released from plants to the atmosphere through their leaves). Evapotranspiration represents the total amount of water that moves from the medium into the air. There is no such thing as a medium with too much water, only a medium that retains too much for too long. The water must always flow efficiently from one atmosphere(Medium) to another(Air) in a timely manner. Moisture is a critical factor for bacterial growth and decay. Dictating how long it's allowed to sit in any one location for any given period is a key preferred control. To ensure a net reduction in a bacterial population, the rate of removal (ET) must exceed the rate of bacterial growth (decay rate), which is often modeled as a growth rate for the specific bacterium under the given conditions. By optimizing daytime VPD, we also optimize conditions for bacterial growth to explode exponentially above 77Β°F.. If water is allowed to sit in a medium without an escape within a timeframe, nothing good will happen. IF High RH is maintained overnight as well as during the day, placing 100% of water movement at the behest of daytime transpiration, roots can only pull where they can reach, and if soil is compressed above a certain point, moisture will become trapped in a medium with no way of moving day or night. This will begin the countdown for decay to take hold. When water stagnates in a medium, it loses oxygen, creating anaerobic conditions that foster the growth of harmful microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, which can produce toxins and disease vectors. Thigmomorphogenesis, the process by which plants respond to mechanical stimuli like touch by altering their growth and development, results in significant morphological changes to improve survival against mechanical perturbations. This complex response involves sensing touch and initiating physiological and genetic responses, leading to changes in form and structure over days or weeks. The process is triggered by physical forces such as wind, rain, or touch. Plants adapt to these stimuli by changing their shape and structure, which may include slower growth, thickened stems, or altered leaf development. Plants possess sophisticated mechanisms to detect even subtle mechanical stimuli and initiate responses. A variety of molecules, including calcium ions, jasmonates, ethylene, and nitric oxide, are involved in signaling these mechanical inputs. Touch can induce the expression of genes that encode proteins for calcium sensing, cell wall modification, and defense mechanisms. A plant exposed to constant wind may become shorter and sturdier. A plant that is touched frequently might grow more slowly to conserve energy and develop thicker cell walls. These changes increase a plant's resilience and ability to survive in harsh environments. 6/13/2023 Week 10- Day 1 of Flower (Day 131 overall) (Day 70 of Flower) Auto Pilot Day 6.. Checked the Trichomes and the bud density and both are looking good.. Definitely needs a little more time for the Trichomes to be where I like, so based on my check I think we are still looking right around the end of the competition 22June to be done and ready for harvest. I do like that the fade is coming in the leaves nicely, so my chart I think is dropping off the Nitrogen exactly like it is supposed to. 6/14/2023 Week 10- Day 2 of Flower (Day 132 overall) Auto Pilot Day 7.. Decided I would take some contrasting pics today with my light up to 100 and my light all the way on Dim. I hope you enjoy the pics. 6/15/2023 Week 10- Day 3 of Flower (Day 133 overall) Auto Pilot Day 8.. Decided to take a look at the Trichome's today and Check to see where they are at and honestly if I might ho ahead and start my flush tomorrow and harvest on Sunday. 6/16/2023 Week 10- Day 4 of Flower (Day 134 overall) (Day 74 of Flower) Today I pulled an Armageddon however instead of darkness they are going to get 48 hours of light. The reason why they are going to get light instead of dark is when I was taking out the netting a lot of the buds were so heavy they fell over and exposed some areas I really want to get some light to... so 48 hours of light at 40% while I watch what should be a beautiful final fade as the plant eats up the last Nutes. If anything goes wrong I can abort take the photos and cut so will pay really close attention to how it is looking over the next 48 hours. Added 30 Gallons of PH only Water. Reduced Lighting to 40% removed program time off. 48 hours of light. 6/17/2023 Week 10- Day 5 of Flower (Day 135 overall) (Day 75 of Flower) I had someone tell me that a few growers had done as I did and Gone Armageddon on the plants. Filling it with PH only and said the plants did not respond well and they were taken out of the comp at the very end because they felt like the pictures just wouldn't come out right. Even though I did go Armageddon, The PPM is at 353PPM with the residue of what was left in the buckets after draining as well as what I am getting from the TAP so I think they are doing good but I am checking them every few hours to see how they seem to be doing and I think they are doing good still and are on track. I also started prepping the area for the pics tomorrow T-24 Hours until Chop 6/18/2023 Week 10- Day 6 of Flower (Day 136 overall) (Day 76 of Flower) (Harvest Day) What a day.. what a day.. what a day.. as I was setting up and trying to figure out how I was going to get my pics #3 stems started breaking, it fell over and other stems broke.. So no really stunning competition photo for her, she had such a nice purple fade.. #2 stayed up in the Tent so that is the one I had to go with to submit for the contest. I wet trimmed them as they went into the tent and they took up three rows hanging in tent. I also decided I wanted to try some so I put a little in the freeze dryer for a 48 hour smoke test.. I will weigh it and add that to my total weight for the plants when it is all done.

Semana 5 Del 30 de noviembre al 6 de diciembre Seguimos con el mismo sistema que hemos utilizando hasta ahora. 3 de diciembre Realizamos transplantes a macetas de 7l. Como podeis ver en las fotos las raices son una locura y tienen todo el sutrato colonizado. Utilizaremos cocogen de la marca progen (que es el que hemos utilizado en todo el cultivo hasta hora) para el transplante a maceta definitiva, 100% coco, previamente humedecido con agua + ryzofuel. Aprovechamos para quitar algunas hojas de la parte de abajo y eliminar algun nudo. 5 de diciembre Cambiamos el periodo a 15 h y 30 min para que vayan sexando. Realizamos riego, esta vez le metemos agua + 1grβ€’10l de vegetative growth de grotek porque es algo que me gusta mucho como funciona, le da mucha fuerza de cara a floracion a la planta. Regamos con 0.5l por planta PH: 6.2 EC: 0.4ms Sera el ultimo riego antes de pasar a floracion que sera el 7 de diciembre.

1/4 - fed 1gal distilled water, 6.0pH. Starting RAW nutes next feeding. 1/6 - first RAW feeding. Came out rather low ppm so I may double my feeding chart for flower. Everything else is looking good. 72.7*F 5.8pH 818 ppm 4g BLOOM 0.7g Phosphorus 0.75g Kelp 0.55g Cal/Mag 0.5g ominA 2g Microbes Bloom Stage 1.25g Amino Acids 0.25g Enzymes 1/7 - dropped the AC Infinity controller to level 2 as an experiment overnight to see how temps will rise in both compartments. Light is at about 900ppfd a few inches below the lowest tops 1/9 - no issues with fan speed at 2! RAW feeding tonight. 70.5*F 6.1pH 1390 ppm 8g BLOOM 0.96 Potassium 1.5g Kelp 0.25g Cal/Mag 4.2g Microbes Bloom Stage 1.25g Amino Acids 0.25g Enzymes Also found a new way to mix my RAW nutrients without having them stick to the bottom...small landscaping pond pump! It gets the water moving nicely and I just drop the dry nutes in, mixes it for me and I can easily fine tune PH and test PPM without having to shake and take samples! Huge win. 1/10 - She's getting fatttttt!!! Long time to go but just sayin...my lady in veg needs at least 3 weeks so hopefully I'm not stepping on myself here soon!

Flowering day 49 since time change to 12 / 12 h Hey guys :-) All ladies look very healthy and delicious :-) We're slowly getting closer to the end. Watering was done twice this week, each time with 1.2 l (sewing materials see table above) At the next watering there is a very light rinse with Clean Fruits so that the last nutrients can be slowly used up. The trichomes are now checked every day. I'm looking for my microscope with an app so I can take pictures of it πŸ‘. Absolutely stoked with my first grow. On the scales wet is 92oz so i am thinking dry maybe 35 ish. No major dramas along the way now to dry and cure. πŸ€™πŸ»

D64/F12 - 11.18 - Been a really incredible week for these ladies. All of them are thriving with lovely prebuds <3 D67/F15 - 11.21 - Lovely progress. Even the least beautiful plant in the garden is reaching above the peony rings :) D70/F18 - 11.24 - Pretty aggressive defoliation on these ladies today. They responded great last round, so I expect to see the start to put a lot of weight on soon. The black sugars (second column of three from the left) we way more leafy than the fast white widows

Day 8 we have one girl looking like she won’t make it :( but other then that all is good Day 9 girls got a cup of veg nuts for the first time so far so good Day 10 girls are showing signs of burn to much to soon will back off of the nuts Day 11 girls got flushed with ph water today all looks good Day 12 growing so good Day 13 girls got a little water today

Fifth week completed. They are showing more and more deficiencies, so I starded feeding more. I also got Bluelab soil pH meter - currently they are around 6.2 - not bad - week ago runoff was adound 5 so I was worried - but 2 waterings of pH 7.2 did the trick. They are back on track. I hope they will eat fast enough to save more leaves till the end - I want to keep them 3 or 4 more weeks. Buds are bulking nicely - they get fatter by the day. And they smell amazing - even with my horrid temperatures - the heat wave is real - AC does not help much though without AC it would be like 40*C in the tent 😡 Till next week! Day 65 Day 15 Flower 06/07/24 Saturday Water de-chlorinated tap pH 6.2 today. I have had to do a deep defoliation, and light LST, she just climbed last week πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜… and air flow was becoming a problem finding wet spots under leaves is no go at this stage in flower . So here is her update, she is absolutely huge 🀩 thank you SSSC for allowing me this run, I'm going to dedicate my whole space to a full auto run for her next. She has un tapped potential πŸ‘Œ. Updated pictures and a video today. Day 66 Day 16 Flower 07/07/24 Sunday no water/feed today letting her dry off a little more. Updated with a short video 🀩 Single plant monster βœŒοΈπŸ’š Day 68 Day 18 Flower 09/07/24 Tuesday She seems happy and dark green so just a water today, 3L. Updated a short video 😁 Day 69 Day 19 Flower 10/07/24 Wednesday Big feed today, de-chlorinated tap water pH 6.0 5L feed. Run off 5-10%.
