1/29 Week 5 Nothing but the kind of problems I asked for, some white tips that mean an increase of runoff is needed. Half expected to see this as I have been varying the amount as a learning experiment. Will up to 20% for a few days In addition will be reducing nuets slightly keeping cal-mag as is until reason to change presents itself. Will be kind of boring the next couple of weeks at least till they get into the big tent. 1/30 Aeryn now at 15 inches Runoff at 40% and nuets reduced to lower pot EC Ive tossed out my old bottle of Cal-Mag I think its turned on me as these white tips did not appear until it was folded into the feed. Just no way this dose of nuets is causing the tips to show burning. 2/1 Major defoliation last night at lights out. Removed perhaps 25-40% or leaf mass on all plants to allow them to stay in the tent another two weeks. It was time to learn the process anyway, took a compromise path to doing it, some recommended taking more some less, hey sounded good to me. Plants doing very well after defoliation except for those aggravating white tips, going to be reducing Cal-Mag again to 1ml/gal and keep CT at 5ml/gal taking C-M to zero based on what I see. 2/2 Dropped Cal-Mag from feed, want to see if that has anything to do with those white tips. Runoff is at 40-50% ppm out under 900 so dam if I know. Will continue to defoliate as we go when something pokes its head where it does not belong. Otherwise they are beautiful, good job so far Fast Buds. 👍 2/3 man they recover fast, removed a few fan leaves that poked their heads where they shouldnt. Add Si to feed tomorrow for stem strength Not comfortable leaving these in veg for two more weeks, just asking for problems. So... Plan for flowering: Flipping this weekend so new week will still be veg. Removing one plant from the Moya tent to the Flowering tent to relieve space pressure as both tents will be set to 12/12 and just flower them all. Should have space in Moya to cover the few days they are in there with just three plants, have a bout 18" of light hang to work with. Thinking of moving Aeryn as she is largest and most likely to cause issues. Just not sure what the stretch is going to be 😳 2/4 The white tips were absolutely caused by the Cal-Mag, considering the doses and PPM that is puzzling to say the least. Adding Si for a few feeds to get em ready for flowering as I have no idea how these are going to grow so heading off some potentials. Plants hit 20" over night still flipping in a few days

Water change day 51. Too close to lights day 52. Used dimmer, prolly gunna buy a taller tent or modify this one. Day 54. Dimming helped, glad i caught it early.

Pretty sure she was topped on day 19... it was a long week for me so I kinda slacked a bit. Upped the nutrients. Day 23. Removed main fan leaves.

Just finished 10 days of flush. 2 days in the dark with no water and theses ladies are coming down. Very pleased with the results. Everything looks as it should

Ginger nut cookies 30th Jan 2020 I got a bit carried away a couple of days ago and whilst trying to be a smartie pants and Lst the two heads of the plant, I accidentally broke one off . In my defence I did immediately chuck the broken stem into some rooting powder and then a rockwool cube. If it takes I'll have two plants but still I was annoyed with myself. Now that I had only the one top , I topped it so that she can fill out and create more tops. This week I fed some High tea, and watered in a little epsom salts for a magnesium Hit. Peyote Wifi Super soil diary update 30th Jan 2020 Guess what peoples ... My Peyote Wifi is in Bloom Baby!!! Only took 4 months to get here 😁 We have rain forecast here for the next few days so whilst it's cooler I thought it an excellent time to allow my soil to dry a little. So whilst the rain is hanging around I won't water the plant at all. Last week I dosed the soil up with the Dr greenthumbs Bud n bloom which should allow immediate access to the P&K this Girls gonna want from now on until harvest. During the flowering period big plants like this can use up any available nutrients quite quickly so I'll need to reapply the bud n bloom again in about 4 weeks time. I have been looking at the other Peyote Wifi diaries here on growdiaries and If mine end up looking anything like those buds I will be one very happy Customer. Some of them look like straight up Fire. Ph Check up with the bluelab soil probe showed the soil to be at 6.5 and stable. Thankyou for Reading this latest Update and I shall be back next week. 👍👊👍

Ginger Nut Cookies 23rd Jan 2020 Seems like I got another mutated plant to play with 😬 The top leaf which was the second set to appear is mutated and similiar to one of the Sour diesel autos Im growing which is apparently a polyploid. As you can see in the above pics I removed the weird leaf and I now have two distinct tops rather than the usual one forming. They do say two heads are better than one 😀 Anyway I gave this little ginger nut a weak mix of Superthrive and Seaweed solution plus a tiny bit of Great white Mycorrhizae powder. This will be the first documented grow of anything Ive created thru my "Fuck around experiments" I call them that because I really dont have any plans or goals as far as breeding is concerned other than learning how it is all done. When Australia finally bites the bullet and goes legal I want to have the basic skills needed to create my own seeds for my own use. Basically a strain that is well acclimatised to my environment with maximum potency , flavour and terpene profile. But most importantly for me is a strain that is a IBL and Homozygous, so that I get very similiar results every time I grow it. Anyway Thats enough of my rambling lets get down to the Music part of this weeks update. Sadly Michael hutchence the lead singer of INXS died in an apparent accidental misadventure but some say it was suicide . We'll never know for sure. ******** Week 7 - January 20 to 26, 2020 (Days 43 to 49 from germination) She continuers to impress with her resilience as I have thrown a couple of curves at her.......but she continues to fatten and grow her buds😎 It was also not without learning though and thats what is so cool about growing this plant.......you always seem to leave a grow feeling like you could do even better next time and therefore challenging yourself to do better......and have dab while doing it😂 Not sure if I have a little different pheno but if I ran her again I would find a way to train her out wider. 5 gal pot diameter idea........maybe don’t fill with as much medium? Again, simply to keep light hitting all the lower sites. Where does the “XL” come into play as well I guess. Removed branches early on that were low. This grow, her narrow leaves have allowed a lot of light down below but it will be felt in a little less yield.....think the pH got a little high....or potassium excess......Terpinator too early? If left to a single cola she would be tall and have a huge cola I suspect......Gorilla Grow with the extension type of potential! She has loved the water feeds. Missed out bit by backing off of the CalMag a bit too much.....stems say deficiency that but leaves show toxicity? (Back to that you always feel you can do better thing😬) Got a little crazy with the PPM and saw tip burn in week 7. Gave a quick little flush with RO water and Sensyzime to clean up the roots of the salts. Didn’t get crazy though because it was just the top leaves burnt. Been building the medium up to this point so don’t want to wash it all away just yet. She didn’t claw down and over night appeared to still keep moving forward with bud growth. I did notice a small amount of hairs starting to turn red by weeks end......likely won’t be long before more are red and we go to flush👍 (Make it to end of week 8??) No rush though.......still lots of room to fatten up yet. In the week a head there will be the last push to get her medium in as good a shape as my skills will warrant. I want to get a good 10 + days of flush but her leaves are going to finish dark from what I can see. Run-off has been reasonable though so will keep fingers crossed 😄🤞 Little more detail.... Jan 20/20 - Day 43 - Drinking lots right now, close to 4L per day, so 2L plain water only in AM. 6.2pH,. - Feed in PM was light as well. Sensyzime @ 2ml and LW8 & Rezin @ 1.5ml only. 2L given with 75ppm. 5.9pH - She was given a good feeding yesterday. - Buds sites are stacking.......she is making me 😃 Jan 21/20 - Day 44 - AM - 3L with Dual Fual A&B @ 1.5ml/L. 725ppm and 5.9pH. - PM hit her again - full feeding minus Rhino Skin, Sensyzime and Vitrathrive and VeloKelp. 2.5L 1000ppm and 5.9pH. - Runoff - 1100ppm and 5.9pH. - top leaves were droopy so the extra feeding in the evening. Jan 22/20 - Day 45 - Backing off quantity a bit and down to 2L feed in PM. Her pot was still fairly heavy. - Mass & Terp @ 3ml, Rezin & LW8 & DF @ 1.5ml, CalMag @ 0.5ml = 1300ppm - Very perky today....standing up all the way down the plant. Liked the feed yesterday. *******should have reduced this PPM feed......you want to push when you see potential😕 Jan 23/20 - Day 46 - Supplemental feeding only today. Happy so don't rock the boat :) - Sensyzime @ 2ml, LW8 & Rezin @ 1.5ml = 80ppm 6.1pH - 2L only today.....still some weight to the pot Jan 24/20 - Day 47 - Nute burn on Green Poison’s tips seen today. - Flushed through 7L of plain RO water pH to 5.95. - Runoff: 325ppm and 5.9pH. - Followed right away with 2L more water with Sensyzime @ 3ml/L - happy and praying in the evening......little surprising actually👊👌 Jan 25/20 - Day 48 - 2.5L of full strength feeding for this week. - ppm for that was 1275 so watered down to 1100ppm.....only need 1ml of base nutes at full strength to hit roughly 1,000ppm. - Runoff: 600ppm & 5.95pH - Swear her leaves are bigger, more mass today!! Still narrow and dark though. - she is 30” x 30” now Jan 26/20 - Day 49 - Feed was full strength one for the week, 1150ppm 6.1pH. - Removed some more leaves today. - guessing only another 1.5 weeks of feeding. Ginger Nut Cookies 16th Jan 2020 Well she's still alive despite me nearly cooking her by leaving her out in the full sun for too long 😄 Should have remembered to slap on some suncream 😂 Anyway Shit happens and I only lost the first set of true treaves and i'll refrain from putting her out in the sun for now. The reason I'm keeping it on the 16hr light schedule is because I think it will be photo dependant & I'd like to see if it can get a bit of vegetation growth before it tries to flower. Otherwise I'll only end up with a miniature plant and that would only be wasting my time . If it does sprout pistils during this lighting schedule then it must be an autoflowering strain but I dont think it will. **** Great Aussie Music Videos **** Last week was Gotye with "Somebody that I used to Know" It went number 1 for awhile here and did quite well in the US I believe. Weird week, Nitrogen toxicity. As of 3 days ago I started on nutes. My soil only has nitrogen in it, so it makes sense. She does look better today but eh. Leaves are dry as heck, humidity is about 50% ish she is feeding good, good runoff and PH. She is a chronie and thats all she is going to be. I'm mostly just seeing what she can do. I can smell weed when I go down in my basement but when I open the tent I have no smell/ or mine sucks cause I smoke too much upstairs lol. I notice a few amber hairs today but they look a bit bigger and fluffy. Not much to update. BIG shout out to @jinks101 for helping me out and answering all my questions!! Well this week was a huge learning curve, shoutout to @jinks101 for being a great mentor and helping me with these two girls. SO I think it's nitro toxicity or they needed nutes. My soil only has nitrogen in it, and after reaching out to the company I learned I need to supplement more. They are lanky af, but I also think having my light not as close for sure did that stretch. I;'m not really happy with these two but it's my first autos and first grow in general. They are starting to show pistils. The first sets of fan leaves are basically a write off due to the curling, but the last sets so far hasn't been effected. I will continue to give them nutes and keep my eyes peeled. PH of soil, water and runoff all good, RH is 50 % ISH fluctuates a little bit but overall steady.

The progress is visible looking at the timelapse video, which I'm happy for, considering the events of last week. It's disappointing though to see the huge difference in size between the Criticals and the GZkitzs, the Criticals are 3 times larger.
