I have two plants. One is a week behind the other so I’ll be uploading photos into the proper weeks as they progress.
Both are stunted, lacking the growth each week is supposed to present. I hope for a big turn around. Not sure what could be causing it.
On the struggle bus here they just aren’t growing the way they are supposed to at week 3 and my other at week 2..we shall see as they progress but my hopes are low at this point, I really don’t know what went wrong I did everything as I usually do.
Pre-flower stretch...LST to try and get a larger canopy...this one is growing super fast...slow start but now take off! Some leaf plucking here and there.
Did some major LST with some hemp string...Added open sesame to stop the stretch that was occurring...this strain is impressing me so far...slow start then vigorous growth!
One interesting characteristic that Gorilla Cookies has, is how PAPER THIN the leaves feel...just by doing some LST I was unintentionally plucking some leaves...I want to minimize if not eliminate defoliation all together for this grow..I'm beginning to think that it hinders my yield so I wanna leave my two gorilla's alone and see what happens. #2 is catching up to the point where I think it will actually surpass #1
Things are getting exciting yall!
Went a little heavy with the nutes...got the tiniest bit of burning on the leaves so next time i'll just do 1/4 beastie 1/2 tiger. First time seeing results with beastie..next day fan leaves were coated with resin by some of the more prominent colas.
From here on out, I'm going to add all my photos of the week into the most current week. So plant #2 is actually a week behind at week 9 though it looks like the bigger plant in the photo..to the right.
I went mild on nutes and they both seemed to like that...next day increased pistils and resin coating some colas...hoping she's a frosty one!
They look beautiful...I can't stop checking in on them :)
Colder weather outside...have to crack the window (just a peep) because humidity gets up to 68-70 with it sealed...this is causing the temps to go down to 73..I use a space heater throughout the day so it jumps from 73-78 constantly. A dehumidifier would solve this, but that's an expense i'll have to save up for.
Still going in with mild nutes and seeing slight burns here and there....both growing great...tons of frost...slow growth but seems to be worth it. I did lots of heavy LST so that’s what slowed down the growth...I see most harvest at around 10-11 weeks but we are not nearly there!
First plant got a bunch of lockouts from the feed so I did an emergency flush..don't wanna mess with it anymore or cause nutrient burn on plant #2 so just water for the upcoming week. Will probably skip Cha Ching all together...not sure yet. Doesn't seem to me that either plant even needs it.
Growing super frosty thoooo! Buds filling out I doubt they will get much thicker but I don't care...pretty exciting to watch them grow into their final form. I think these will be my best plants grown to date!!! :)
Did a good amount of defoliation to get more light to the lower buds.
Also cracked open my Mother Earth Coco Coir block for my next two grows and topped off these 5 gallon pots..the plants definitely seemed happier with that fresh layer added!
Getting closer to the finish line!!
Week 13 harvest! The girls are getting 12 hours of darkness before the hang! I can’t control my humidity yet when it’s completely dark otherwise I would’ve gone for a bit longer.
My stinkiest frostiest prettiest plants yet…very excited to jar them up!!!
And i’ll clean my fan soon too hahaha
A white christmas for me after all! 😂
Week 13 harvest! Plant 1 = 67 grams/2.3 oz Plant 2= 55 grams/1.9 oz overall= 4.2 oz
(5-7 day dry)
The Gorilla Cookies are soooo damn frosty and stinky…i’ll be drooling at them for a month until I can taste them!!!!
Photos mostly of plant 2..1 was coated in resin but plant 2..the frostiness can be seen from far away! My first top shelf grow 😈…hopefully more to come!
My glove was literally sticking to the stems and getting stuck with plant #2
The stench reminds me of thanksgiving dinner LOL..sausage stuffing and gas is what comes to mind..very savory aroma!
One plant flushed partially the other not flushed and I can tell you that the flushed plant has much more flavorrrr..if this didn’t prove to me that flushing is absolutely essential IDK what would! LOL
