Everything looking great going into week 9, very exciting watching these ladys mature. Height management was difficult this run due to lack of training uniformity. Maxed out light height as these ladies are still quite tall even with intense LST.

At the end of week 10 the 18 CANNALOPE HAZE plants from DNA-GENETICS are ready to harvest. The plants have all started to fade and get yellow leaves and hardly have any whit pistils anymore. I check the trichomes with a handheld microscope and see that they have all turned milky and some even amber...now is the PERFECT MOMENT to harvest them, they have reached PEAK-THC now. The colas on each plant are HUGE and COVERED IN TRICHOMES. A strong 'hazy' aroma is filling out the tent, its an earthy and mildly sweet smell, very enticing, I cant wait to try my medicine after its dry. The plants on the left side under the LUMATEK ZEUS 600W PRO are less uniform (=some are taller, some are smaller) and less compact than on the other side. The right side under the two SANlight Q6W-Gen.2 LED-lamps has grown more uniform (all plants have almost the same height) and with more compact buds. The trichome production was very good on both sides, the quality of the buds is OUTSTANDING!

July 5 - The girls are still doing awesome. temps are between 21-26. Humidity is 40-50. Still feeding every 24-36 hours with 3L per plant. July 6 - They are doing good. Showing lots of flower sites now. Unfortunately I did not get any pictures today. July 7 - Tons of progress since last week. I don't see any signs of any problems, and still no pests! The smell is getting A lot stronger as it starts to flower more July 8 - Still doing there thing, no problems, temps and humidity is fine. Have been feeding every 24 hours now as they seem to be really thirsty July 9 - Super happy with how they are doing. No issues yet. Smell is heavier, and tons of bud sites showing up. Only issue is they are growing pretty uneven. July 10 - Time to get a even canopy! First time doing some HST. I also did some defoliation. One of the stems split open a bit but it seems to be doing just fine. I did he HST and defoliation in the morning, i then took pictures of 12 hours later and everything seems just fine! July 11 - Everything seems to be a lot more even and the broken stem doesn't seem to affect the growth.

The feed on this week's post is for the RQS Wedding Cake Auto. The FB And Bruce Banner got 1 tsp of BAS Coconut powder and 2 tsp of molasses. The Wedding Cake also got a small top dressing of 2 tbsp of craft blend a buildaflower. Im not too sure on what's going on with the wedding cake but im letting it ride out.

Seeing big changes this week alls running well introducing the sf1000 in this week for some extra lighting. Still very slow growth hopefully autos dont start flowering soon going to top some photos at the end of the week and keep them in veg longer so the autos can stay on 18/6 for an extra 2 or 3 weeks. New light and nutes waiting to arrive

This week was all about gentle hight control

*If anyone read through my GDP diary, this is going to be mostly the same stuff. So, sad day friends. I got spider mites and had to throw all my plants out. This is what I think happened: About 2-3 weeks ago I noticed some freckling on the lower leaves. I looked at it and thought it might be a cal/mag issue so I added cal/mag that week and went about my business. I saw it about a week later and it wasn't getting any better so I added more cal/mag. This continued for about 2-3 weeks until I finally took off a leaf and examined it under my microscope. I saw little bugs crawling everywhere and my stomach just dropped. My fiance did some quick research while I was panic ripping leaves off (see pictures) and she correctly diagnosed it as spider mites. I debated with myself and my close friend and ultimately I decided to throw all the plants in my tent away. I know that there are a lot of people who will say that there are things I could have done to make it to harvest but what it came down to is the people I take care of and personal pride. I consider myself a caregiver and I give away product for free that I am not going to use to my family and close friends. I thought to myself "Would you smoke this?" and when my answer was "ehhh, I don't know", I thought about how it would feel giving it away and immediately made the decision to destroy them. I take an immense amount of pride in my product and this hobby and if I am not going to stand behind it I would rather just start over. I grow from my heart (shout out to the Grow From Your Heart Podcast!) to help people and make sure my family is not getting unsafe product from sketchy people. To spray pesticides in flower that may hurt people and have little bug carcasses in there just goes against that in every way and is just wrong in my opinion if you are giving it away to others. If you are the only one smoking it then it is one thing to take that risk but not with your patients. I want my medicine to help people, not create or exacerbate health issues. It is also important to note that the mites had moved from my flower tent into my veg space and took over my auto berry as well. Damn things are crafty and fast. So that is why I made the decision to destroy them all after 3+ months of res changes, pruning, and manifolding on a slow vegging strain. Feel free to chime in with your opinion but I do not regret my decision. I threw out my new clones, mother plant, and auto berry I had on my veg side as well. Shout out to all the other growers out there that do the right thing by their patients. Caregivers > Cash croppers. For anyone curious, I removed everything from my tent and scrubbed it all with a 20% bleach/water solution. All equipment has been wiped down and stored in the garage away from any organic materials. I will give them until tomorrow (2 days) to air out and dry and then I will wipe it down again with bleach and wait another 2 days. Hopefully that will make sure everything is dead and will not come back next grow. That next grow should start in about a week. It sucks but sometimes it happens and you gotta be ready for it. Lesson learned. Never bring outdoor plants into your indoor garden even if it is after just a day or two. A bunch of people on here and Reddit warned me and I did not listen. Now I have learned the hard way and it feels like when your parents "told you so" haha. Thanks to everyone who stopped by along the way. Stay tuned for a new grow coming soon. Eccoci ragazzi! Non vedevo l ora di mandare in fioritura questo mio esperimento idroponico! Le piante sembrano stare bene, ho avuto problemi con un po di radici che stavano marcendo, ma sembra che la situazione si stia risolvendo grazie al acido ipocloroso, sta disinfettando e sbiancando per bene le radici, e quelle nuove che si formano hanno un bel colore bianco sintomo di benessere! Ho provveduto a defogliare un po entrambe le piante per fare spazio a tutti i getti laterali che si stanno diramando dal tronco principale, spero proprio che ci siano un bel po' di cime, questa è la prima settimana e ancora nn ho visto nessun fiore o pre fiore, speriamo che si facciano vedere al più presto, non sto nella pelle per vedere come si svilupperanno i fiori di queste genetiche che sembrano promettere davvero bene! Purtroppo io nn sono molto esperto ancora su come defogliare e potare nel modo giusto, sto facendo del mio meglio e sto imparando piano piano per capire quale sia il modo migliore di farlo senza stressare troppo la pianta, a mio parere probabilmente ho dato troppa vegetativa e queste due piante se tutto va come dovrebbe diventeranno enormi e sono preoccupato che durante queste due settimane di pre fioritura che lo stretching verso l alto diventi un problema serio e che vadano troppo vicino alla luce, ho paura di bruciare tutte le cime principali, spero proprio che questo nn avvenga xke purtroppo già ora sono alte 60 cm e posso arrivare al massimo ad un metro di altezza altrimenti la lampada sarà troppo vicina, xke purtroppo nel posto dove si trovano, dispongo solamente di un altezza totale del box di 180 cm e la lampada può arrivare al massimo ad un altezza di 160 cm prima che tocchi il filtro a carboni sopra di essa.. Spero con tutto me stesso di non commettere il solito errore.. Per ora apparte qualche squilibrio del ph, mi ha provocato una carenza di rame e di calcio /magnesio, ora ho provveduto a tarare il mio misuratore di ph /ec, xke ho notato che usandolo spesso è non pulendo adeguatamente il sensore con acqua distillata, è necessario ricalibrarlo circa ogni 2/3 settimane, altrimenti tende a sballare di 4 o anche 5 punti il ph della soluzione.. Ora il prossimo cambio Dell acqua sarà verso il 20 dicembre contando che l. Ho cambiata il 5 dicembre ogni 15 giorni la cambierò, grazie alla nuova pompa di sentina che ho comprato è un gioco da ragazzi svuotare i secchi in pochi minuti! Gold Sativa has been growing really fast. I had to take solution out of buckets right before update here. Was causing over watering issues with roots growing so fast. So providing more air space between basket, and solution. Should help her perk up a little more. This is my first run of photoperiods in DWC. I think I got most major issues resolved.
