A-Week 5(Day 39), B & C-Week 5(Day 35) Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays All! 🎄 We’re you naughty or nice this year? I got a few upgrades for the garden, new AC Infinity Cloudline T4 fan and controller, as well as PPM/EC meter, and soil tester (moisture, ph), Yayyyyy! 😎💨 A is just moving along, I did two nutrient feeds this week, almost at full strength by the 2nd time around. She is doing great, no burn, no deficiencies showing as she starts her flowering life cycle. She started showing pre flower hairs early in the week, and is now starting to form nice calyxes and stack. B is doing just as well. She has almost caught up to her big sister A. LST is really going well as her canopy is looking . She also got 2 nutrient feeds as is loving life ❤️ C is still angry at me, or life in general. She did not get the same nutrients as the others, small dose, I didn’t feel she was up to it. Her branching is nowhere near as robust and thick as the other 2, I did have to defoliate as those massive fan leaves were blocking light to the branches so that would explain some of her stress, but she finicky…. I ain’t got time for that! I started soaking a new seed yesterday, An Auto Gorilla Glue by Expert Seeds, I may just cut my losses, and start a new seed… I haven’t committed yet, what do you all think?

***** Week 4 Veg - December 26/20 to Jan 1/21 ***** The girls were transplanted on Christmas day, after three weeks in the solo cups from seed. They had been growing well in cups but I must admit that I feel the root mass should have been larger after that time period. I am working with a new nutrient line that I have not used before and have not been adding microbes to the feed schedule thus far.........or hardly any. I feel this is why the root system, while looking healthy, is looking too small. Over the next couple weeks will ensure they get lots of microbes in the 1 gal pots to fill those up with roots before moving to 5 gal pots.......the last upsize for this girls. Counting my weeks for finish I am wishing that I had started these girls a couple of weeks sooner so they may not get to veg in the 5 gal pots for a couple of weeks before flipping to flower. For these girls it is still pretty early on in their lives and not many exciting things to happen the first month of seedlings. We have done one upsize and another to go. Keep the feeding in line and follow the week 1 veg feeding for these girls, bringing up the ppm closer to 700ppm range. Overall, happy with first couple of weeks of veg. Need to get more roots going, we will, but otherwise just give them the time to mature and take it easy......they will come along😀 She is looking very nice and even so far and keeps catching my eye when I open the tent😂😎 Little more detail....... Dec 26/20, Day 22 Veg - Dry out day after being transplanted yesterday. - Pots were still heavy. - Let the microbes in the media do their thing and start pushing root growth harder than what has been happening. Dec 27/20, Day 23 Veg - Gave the girls a little splash of the left over nutes from two days ago to add a little oxygen and they can take the extra microbes and bacteria right now😀 - 200ml with Microbial Mass and Piranha @ 2ml/L = 650ppm and 5.7pH - They are really happy today!!!! Loving the bigger pot to let those valuable roots expand into nice fluffy new coco and soak up the nutrients👍 - This girl has always had wider fan leaf blades than the other two girls. She is shorter but wider.......hell, kind of like me Dec 28/20, Day 24 Veg - feeding day today with more water to get some runoff from the 1 gal pots. They have not been watered to runoff yet.😀 - 0.5L each girl with the full line for this week. No other additives, just the IPP line = 700ppm and 5.7pH - seems a little high to jump from around 300ppm to 700 but will follow the companies recommendations👍 Dec 29/20, Day 25 Veg - Dry out day. - they are happy today......not much to add otherwise today Dec 30/20, Day 26 Veg - going to give them another day without watering. - I feel like I should be watering today but I am not as I am not sure how much moisture they will have consumed and the roots need some air to breath so holding off. - think it is a CalMag only feeding tomorrow. Dec 31/20, Day 27 Veg - feed day today since it has been a couple of days. - 500ml with CalMag @ 2ml, Gold Storm @ 7ml, Sea Storm @ 5ml, Blackstorm @ 2ml, Vitamin B @ 0.5ml = 525ppm and 5.7pH - keeping the humic and fluvic acids going in, plus Kelp and CalMag👍 - the girls are happy and seeing forward movement everyday, looking for more aggressive though from the girls. Jan 1/21, Day 28 Veg - doing very well......like really well💪 - didn’t push them today and left them alone for watering, pots of course still had some weight and I didn’t expect them to need today. - Optic Folier Overgrow given today. Folier spray to give them just an extra boost since everything is otherwise dialed in👍 Finishing off the week very strong!!!!!! They have been looking very healthy and perky everyday. The roots are a concern and will be taking it easy on the nutrients for another week yet and keep up the microbes and beneficials. Will get them in line......my hope is too keep their time in the 1 gals down to two weeks max......maybe 10 days?? Looking pretty good ETS as we move through the first upsize and get veg going here. She has been very steady right from the start and continues with steady growth in early veg. Her branching is growing laterally and keeping short node spacing in her growth, perfect!......again, still pretty early on but its all good so far😎

February 2, 2021 (Week 4, Day 29): The plants grew enough overnight to top at the third node. This is the second and last time I'll be topping these plants - this is the Nebula method of manifolding. I also took off the second node of each growth stem as well as the original fan leaves. I've pressed them in my plant press to save the memories of my experience with my first grow. I also redid the LST on every plant. The new growth sites I've pinned to the fan leaves. I really enjoy doing LST, it's quite therapeutic to figure out just how to support the plant without harming it. I think I am getting great lateral growth so far. The main growth stems are swelling a lot at the bases. Medium is still wet from yesterday - lightly tilled about a half inch of top soil. I've turned down the humidity another 5% this week. I'll keep it there most likely until I start the flowering cycle. Averaging 60% rH and 78℉. Plants are happy, and I am happy. 😸 February 3, 2021 (Week 4, Day 30): Plants are looking good this morning. The nitrogen toxicity in Unknown 2 is beginning to subside. Now Unknown 1 seems to be having a nitrogen toxicity as well - slight leaf curling at the ends with a very lush and dark green color. I am assuming this soil is still very hot. As I've lowered the humidity I suspect more nutrients are being sucked in through the roots instead of transpiration through the leaves. I think the plants are going to take a little bit to get used to the hot soil, but I bet once they do they'll be as happy as ever. Medium is still slightly moist this morning, no watering. I tilled a half inch of top soil again to keep everything aerated. Most likely will water tomorrow or the next day. My LST seems to be holding nicely. I tied down Unknown 2's first growth tips as the fan leaves have finally straightened out after the topping yesterday. New growth tips are emerging nicely from the third node of each lateral stem. Averaging 60% rH and 77℉. Nothing else to report for today. February 4, 2021 (Week 4, Day 31) : Growth looks good overnight. I think this second topping is confusing the plants a bit. Lots of bulking of the stems, but not much lateral growth. I have a feeling they'll take off over the next few days. They're still growing really well. I posted a grow question last night having to do with little white bead-like structures growing on the surfaces of the leaves on every plant. I was concerned it may be a mold or fungus starting to grow. I did a bunch of research and it seems to be early trichome development called "sessile glands". I still have the question open and I am trying to get confirmation. Really hoping if they're trichomes that's a good sign that these plants are going to be frosty. I uploaded some pictures to show the development. Over night they started to grow everywhere on the leaves - hopefully they really are just trichomes and I am being over-vigilant. Better safe than sorry. I watered the plants today without nutrients; 3 liters per plant pH'd to 5.8. Runoff sitting at ~6.5 pH now which is much better. I'll continue to run 5.8 pH solution until I see the pH of the soil come down to at least 6.2-6.3. Tomorrow I'll most likely have to defoliate a bit and tie down the second sets of growth stems, as they're beginning to stretch and grow vertically. Averaging 60% rH and 76℉. Happy growing all! 😸 February 5, 2021 (Week 4, Day 32): The plants are exploding with growth now. I defoliated the fan leaves from the first node on every plant and tied down the growth stem for lateral growth. These plants are meaty as hell. The stems are thickening really quickly and I am getting tons of foliage and stem growth. The third nodes are starting to come around. I think I figured out the "mold" issue I thought was starting. They're definitely trichomes, not mold. I touched the leaves that were sparkling and my fingertips got sticky, oily, and reeked of weed - so that's great news. The smell in my grow room is getting stronger every day. While defoliating this morning I found my first pre-flowers on Gelato 1! It looks like all the plants are female, but Gelato 1 threw some pretty pistils at me to get my attention. Seems like the plants are reaching maturity. Depending on growth over the next few weeks it may be time to switch to flower soon! I am aiming for about 16" in veg before switching. Seeing these pre-flowers made me so anxious for flowering. Unknown 1 and Unknown 2 are doing great as well - all the signs of the nitrogen toxicity have subsided. Unknown 2 has more trichomes on the leaves than any of the other plants, and its foliage is a beautiful deep green. They are either different phenotypes or different strains entirely as the two of them are growing and looking quite different. Unknown 1 is much lankier so I suspect a different strain. Unknown 2 is especially squat and I suspect it's 100% indica or close to it. Medium is still wet. Averaging 60% rH and 77℉. No other news today. February 6, 2021 (Week 4, Day 33): Last 24 hours I have seen at least an inch of lateral growth per growth stem on each plant. These girls are absolutely loving life from the looks of it, they're growing incredibly fast. I redid a bunch of LST today. Had to move every tie up one node. Medium is still moist. Lightly tilled half inch of top soil. Gelato 1 is shooting out more pre-flowers. Thanks to my wife we have new friends that have joined us in the smart pots. 😸 Averaging 60% rH and 75℉. Happy weekend everyone! February 7, 2021 (Week 4, Day 34): These girls are chugging right along. Tons of great lateral growth every 24 hours at this point. Having to adjust LST pretty much every morning to accommodate for the crazy growth. Gelato 1 is a freak of nature - the fan leaves are gigantic. Defoliated again today; took the fan leaves from the third node of each plant. Will be defoliating the first node of the secondary growth stems tomorrow most likely. Medium is slightly moist. Tilled the soil again. Will be watering tomorrow morning most likely. There's still a little dropping at the ends of the leaves so I will hold off on nutrients until all nitrogen toxicity has subsided. Averaging 60% rH and 77℉. Nothing else for today. February 8, 2021 (Week 4, Day 35): Watered today with 3 liters of 5.8 pH filtered water per plant (no nutrients) - runoff around ~6.7-6.8 pH. Will most likely resume nutrients upon next feeding depending on how the plants look. Defoliated entire first node from center four growth stems and tied down third nodes. Readjusted outside LST. The plants are almost to the outside of the pot which is when I'll switch to vertical growth. Unknown 1 is very close to being let loose, it's also pre-flowering now. Gelato 1 is now covered in pre-flowers - it's definitely a happy plant. Unknown 2 is still the runt of the group but also appears to be almost 100% indica by how stout it is. It's showing sex but no pistils yet. All three plants seem to responding well to mainlining and the stress isn't making them skip a beat. Stems are getting huge. I downloaded an app on my phone to check how well my lights are doing and, if the readings are accurate, I am very impressed with these lights. I've read cannabis can handle around ~65 DLI, so I am right where I need to be. Averaging 60% rH and 78℉. That ends week 4 of veg. Time is flying. Hoping to switch to flower in two weeks for a total of six weeks in veg. Getting super stoked to switch over! Happy growing everyone! 👽

It’s week 2 already. Week 2 is maybe, maybe, the most important week of the plants life. Time to turn the humidity down based on the temperature your room holds, with as much light as you can create. Now is also the time to introduce co2…as long as your humidity and temperature is right and there’s LOTS OF LIGHT. Co2+light=photosynthesis, and in a perfect world your temp is 78 degrees, humidity 50-55%. These are the only things that matter now. These plants are killing it right now growing visible amounts in just a few days. Every thing was pulled off the plant that is under the netting. While the plants were stretching everything was forced back under the net for the 1st 10 days of flower. Then everything is allowed to grow vertically for the rest of flower. At the end of week 2 is super important. I let the plants dry all the way out. If you think they are dry, wait another day. This is to get as much oxygen to the root zone as possible. Then I flush the plants with 1.0 EC that consists of 50ml/10gal cal mag, 50ml/10gal of sturdy stalk(potassium silicate) and 50ml/10gal of canna pk13/14. Canna pk13/14 is the only non Emerald Harvest product I’ve used in the last 3 years. After the dry out/1.0ec flush of the plants we push the plants with daily 2.0ec feedings until it’s time to flush with fresh water the last week or so of its life. The plant is doing well overall this week! 💪 To handle a few fungus gnats that started showing up, I introduced nematodes into the soil and placed some yellow sticky traps, seems to be keeping things under control so far. She's growing quite tall now, definitely stretching up nicely, but not really filling out much in width. A true lemony skyscraper in the tent!😂💚

9/5 PREVENTATIVE SPRAY OF 1TBSP POTASSIUM BICARBONATE AND 1/4 TBSP DAWN TO TREAT WPM. Foggy this morning and rained again last night. Weather hasn't been the greatest. Not seeing much PM unless it advanced so much that it just killed all the leaves. I still have yellowing leaves that die. It's probably septoria and I probably should've used a copper fungicide but I'm in flower. Ice cream cake and a couple seedlings are far behind but everything else seems like it will finish. This weather has been getting me down. I may feed later today or I might wait until tomorrow. I also need to add a few more supports. Wet buds are heavy. I'm getting there. Slowly but surely. 9/6 FED TWO GALLONS TO GARDEN PLANNED TO USE BEASTIE BLOOM BUT COULD ONLY FIND CHA CHING. Rained heavy all night. I came back to hanging branches but no damage. I added some supports quickly and tied up a hanging branch. Ran a couple strings across the frame but I have more work to do. I took some pics and a video. At least now I'm seeing buds. Walking down there is like getting slapped in the face with a wet bud (which happened today). It's a super strong smell. Trichomes are developing at various stages. This is when things get paranoid but it's also fun. I can't wait until fall. 9/7 Plants we're wet this morning so I gave them a good shake. Defoliated what needed it and added a couple more supports. I don't like these leaves falling like this. Didn't have time to work on the ice cream cake that's growing into the fence. Now it's a race with the weather. Things are looking pretty good but I'm getting antsy. Also I'm not sure what caused all this weird damage from earlier and if I should just cut off useless branches. I'm hesitant as I don't want to create an open wound for more fungal infections. 9/8 Rained like crazy. Super heavy at times. I added a video I took yesterday. and took some pictures. Defoliated some dead stuff but it's hard to work in the pouring rain. Forecast said three inches. Plants are booming thoughgh 9/9 Still raining. Hard. No damage. Defoliated what I could and added supports where needed. I do need to say the plants I'm growing are some resilient girls. They've taken a beating and come back kicking butt. If we can get a few good days in a row shit will really start taking off. Need to spray BT and do another k bicard spray or switch it up with peroxide. I've checked the tops of my plants with a ladder and things look good so far. I'm super excited. 9/10 Poured like crazy. One plant will be ready VERY shortly. I took out my scope to check things out. In the bright sun ours easy to spot little pm patches. Oh well. I'll spray tonight. Everything looks so amazing. Also found more moth eggs it's time for a BT spray. Defoliated and added more supports as it's windy af out here

On day 15, I defoliated the girls. The girls are growing up like crazy, they have already doubled their height. Everything is going well, I'll probably have to do supercroping in the following days ...

I also upgraded to an oscillating fan which I hung to free up grow space. We’re running just under 1000ppm with no issues. I bumped my VPD up to account for leaf temp. The autopots are working. They just increased their (self feeding) appetite - up from .3 gallon a day to .8 gallons a day. This weeks accomplishments: Dehumidifier venting tuning Filled each scrog grid with at least one cola Stabilize temp, humidity and VPD. Stretched trellis with pvc frame Better oscillating fans for top and bottom airflow This week to-do By Monday evening, I have to install two more autopots - I’m still hand feeding the gelatos. I’m going on vaca, so we’ll see how this turns out. Long term issues Cooling and VPD targets during heat waves Preventing pest and mold issues My fiancé is getting jealous of all the attention to my grow! I hope you all are having as much fun as I am.
