I figured nothing could go wrong with 50% amber / 50% milky trichomes. Harvest day, Medical Mass: Huge buds and no traumas but got bud rot because of too high temps. The best I've ever smoked. Harvest day, Pineapplex Express: Got an early trauma when transplanting but handled it beautifully. Potent smoke. Pretty satisfied for a first grow, and I have a lot of changes for my 2nd grow!

- Day 57 Noticed quite a dramatic drop in pH today, went from 6.0 to 5.3 in one day. I noticed one of my bubblers was blocked, put in a new one and it's fixed now, hope the issue was due to that. the plant is doing good otherwise. Brought the pH back up to 6.2 now. Day 58 Was happy to see today that the pH drift has been fixed! Seems like the broken bubbler was the problem. pH only dropped down to 6.1 today. I topped the reservoir up with some 6.1 pH water to keep it there. Happy this is fixed now . Day 59 Sadly the water bubbler was not the issue :/. pH dropped down again from 6.1 to 5.3. I fear that she is just drinking so much compared to how small the water reservoir is, which makes the nutrient concentration very strong, brining down the pH. I did a res change today, Let's see what it looks like tomorrow. Day 60 pH went up to 6.5 today after the water res change, which seems to be how it always goes. It goes up the first 1-2 days then it drops hard the next days after. I gave it 6.1pH water today topped the res up more than usual because I will be gone for 2 days, hopefully the pH will stay somewhat stable until I get back. Day 62 Back from my long weekend! The reservoir still had about 1 liter in it, she been drinking a lot. Came home and immediately refilled the reservoir. Noticed pH had also dropped so 5.1!! With the newly added water now it's sitting at 5.9 now. Seems like she is doing well however. Some of the of lower fan leaves yellowed a lot more but that is probably due to all the flowers developing right now. Day 63 Water topped up again with 1.5 liters of pH 6.6 water, which brought the pH back up to 6.1.

🌱 Animal Mints — Week 6 From Seed (≈ Week 2 Flower / Pre-Flower Phase) Quick Recap for New Readers This run includes multiple Animal Mints plants, all treated similarly, but we’re mainly cataloging two reference plants to clearly show how timing affects structure and development: • Plant A → 12/12 from seed • Plant B → ~15 days under 16/8 veg, then flipped to flower Same genetics, same room, same feeding — different timelines. That’s the whole experiment. ⸻ Plant A vs Plant B — Why Two Plants? • Plant A (12/12 from seed) • More compact • Slower early structure • Responds very well to gentle leaf bending and light training • Still stretching and stacking nicely • Plant B (short veg period) • Bigger frame • More developed branching • Further along in flower at the same “seed age” • Took light cleanup / lollipopping better This small veg window made a huge difference in structure and flower progression, and that’s exactly why we’re documenting both. ⸻ ✂️ Canopy Work (No Heavy Defoliation) This week we did selective leaf removal, not a true defoliation: • Opened airflow and light paths • Removed shaded or blocking leaves • Light lollipopping on Plant B only • Plant A kept mostly intact, just leaf bending and spacing Goal wasn’t stress — it was space, airflow, and efficiency. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Update • Day Temp: ~28°C (successfully raised) • Humidity: ~65% • PPFD: ~600–850 (depending on height & position) • CO₂: ~900 ppm (now stabilizing around 909 ppm) As outside temps stayed cooler, the room naturally became its own heat source: • Increased plant mass • Higher light intensity • Under-canopy lighting added No forced heaters. No extremes. Just letting the system balance itself. 🌬️ Airflow • Vortex extraction • Multiple cross-flow fans • Constant gentle movement No leaf chaos — just steady motion. ⸻ 💧 Feeding & Nutrition Strategy This week marks a clear transition phase. • EC: ~2.4 • pH: 6.5 (transitioning down — all feeds now 6.0+) Why Higher pH Right Now? As plants move into flower, nutrient demand shifts: • Better Ca / Mg uptake • Stronger phosphorus & potassium availability • Root activity increases Slightly higher pH at this stage supports structural growth and flower formation, especially under higher light and CO₂. Nutrient Transition • Terra Grow → Flowering nutrients • Supporting the hormonal shift from stretch → stack • Small signs of possible cal-mag demand observed — already being addressed, nothing severe ⸻ 🌿 Growth Observations • Both plants look healthy and vigorous • Plant B is clearly ahead in flower development • Plant A continues to stretch and respond beautifully to training • Leaf color overall is excellent • Bud sites stacking cleanly At this point: • All plants are in pre-flower / early flower • We’re counting this as Week 2 flower in the life cycle ⸻ 📸 Studio Session Plants were brought into the studio to: • document structure clearly • show node spacing and canopy differences • create a clean visual timeline Photos reflect real structure, not “posed perfection”. ⸻ ❤️ Final Words Big thanks to: • the geneticists • the sponsors • the platform • the OGs • the newcomers • the critics • the lovers • even the haters Everyone has a place here. We share wins, mistakes, and lessons openly so we can all grow better together. Criticism is welcome — it’s how progress happens. With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself, and always do things expecting nothing and with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will give back in ways you could never imagine. 💚 Growers love to all 💚 📸 P.S. – The Eye Behind the Lens All photos in this diary (for now — except for the ones showing the camera, which I took with an iPhone) are taken with a Sony A6700 paired with a Sony full-frame macro lens and a few more. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. Weekly update on these gorgeous girls. Was gone for 9 days so wasn't sure how they'd look when I returned. Wow did they take off into full flower. They're all looking amazing, it looks like two different phenos which is awesome. Over all excited to see them progress as the flower period just started.

Day 84: The Lsd25 are finally ready for a wet trim and hanging. I would normally hang compete until dry then trim but due to the already present budrot ( sorted out now and Neutralized) , I am going for a wet trim to get some density out for their drying. They have been good to grow but like the BlackBerry , I dont think their yield will be shattering any records. The LOS girl has a major case of leaf mould due to the dark period of 4 days and not enough airflow. Sorted with a bud wash and shake dry. They will be both trimmed up this evening for their slow steady dry. The previously dries #2 is curing now and gave me 41g of very nice buds. Will do a full harvest report as soon as they are ready for jarring. Peace and love folks.

The Quebec Blues are starting to develop more now during flowering I’ll start feeding Diablo nutrients cal mag and monster frost every feeding during flowering. These plants have been growing well and just need defoliations for airflow and flowering sites. I’ve been following diablos feeding calculator 3x a week, and the plants seem to be growing well. Ph is balanced each feeding. I’ll start documenting weekly flower development starting the next week.

Day 58, 7th of November 2020: The 6th day since the lamp switched to be 12/12. I raised up the nutrition intake as it can be seen above only the BioBizz family 2ml/l and removed some LST because the plants remain in shape or just set a bit but nothing significant.... They look good and strech is on the way..... These Original Sensible ones are having really nice smell :) Nothing really to report there is crazy 2-3 weeks from now ;)

A very cool strain to grow 😀👌 4 on 4 germination rate gave me 4 nice and robust plants. One plant was taller and different from the 3 others one. The red one was a real beauty 😍

Holka podstúpila väčšiu defoliaciu, celý spodok, malé paličky a veľké plachtáky. Už bolo treba prevzdušnit. Opatrne pridané PH+ a trocha PKčka 13-14.

1st major defoliation end of week 1 flower. Girls are looking all kinds of healthy. #1 is leaving #2 behind now in the stretch, root mass and overall look. Streching very nicely, almost doubled in size over 2 weeks.

Ok folks, gunna be one armed for another 6 weeks so I'm just the conductor the true heroes will go unseen. Everything is alive atleast, had a scare yesterday as things got so dried out everything went limp but an hour after feed turned back around. Noticed some yellowing and other coloring coming thru on alot of leaves so I bumped ppm up a little bit this last feed. They dont look like they have a deficiency, it's weird, they look beautiful but with a premature fade almost. I really like Green Buzz' line up/regiment I just have to dial it in which isnt easy since it's a multi strain crop and various size plants. It's very easy to use and makes me feel good knowing it's not poison. Did a minor leaf strip around the tent just to make things fit better. I'll copy and paste this to the diaries for the rest of the crop per usual but go into a little more detail on each plant individually. Pics and vids were taken on day 28 of flower. I'm trying to keep up with these as best I can from start to finish, the flip date was 6.10.19, today is 7.9.19. I fucking love this girl she might be my favorite. Reason why is because I know these nugs are going to swell, and the 1st pheno was such a good smoke but the buds didnt fill in like i hoped so this is redemption. Already has a skunky orange scent when Terps get on your fingers. This one also has dramatic coloring in the foliage must be due to lack of N I assume (could be wrong). My lady gets the photo credit I didnt do shit only video.
