Tuesday February 28th I dropped 5 Exotic Genetix “Yikes” in ph’d to 6 water. After 8 hours they’ll go into paper towels. Eventually ending up in rockwool. This is my first time running a RDWC system. I have to thank @budz_alot for helping me get this all together!!!

Surprised by how well the water is wicked to the medium from the water bottle, it took a long time, but wick works as intended. I was unsure how much if any nutrient would be transferred via wick but the high salt content altered pH at certain parts. Right before the symptoms arose I decided to supercrop the stem top to bottom on one plant, shortly thereafter the burning happened from the same plant from running 8.0 pH, and nutrient uptake ground to a halt on the plant that was dealing with stress. She doesn't seem happy. Remedied with aluminum sulfate, things seem to be coming back to normal. I need to be more careful with salts. I need MOAR knowledge. How many weeks shall we veg? Going to take a while to fill that canopy with just two plants, should probably start topping now but I'll wait until pH problem Is remedied first, a couple more days hopefully 🙏. I defoliated maybe 6 bigger leaves that had burned yellow on one plant, as it comes back to optimal range, this will be a good opportunity to observe the subtle differences that early defoliation can make. Added a pound of tourmaline powder and biochar, both increase soil urease and invertase activities. *2025 Didn't charge the biochar skewing my ph drastically. Urease is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of urea into CO2 and NH3 and is a key component in the nitrogen cycle in soils. Invertase (d-fructofuranosidfructohydrolase, EC 3.2.1.26) is the enzyme that capable both break down α-1,4-glycosidic linkage between d-glucose and d-fructose of sucrose and transferring αβ-D-O-fructofuranoside residue to an acceptor substrate (Toledo et al., 2019). Since tourmaline is widely distributed in the natural environment and has many excellent physical and chemical properties including radiating far infrared energy, permanently releasing negative ions, producing an electrostatic field, releasing rare microelements, and stimulating the growth and metabolism of microorganisms and plants, tourmaline had been conducted to alleviate potential environmental pollution. Kill off the gg4 ibl it seems degraded from old seed maybe just didn't push anything. The natural stims and cytokinin I used really made these crazy looking for now but they are sticky af and already dense! Can't imagine them in 4 weeks 😛

Things went well this week. To be honest, I'm surprised how often these plants had to defoliate. I believe that we are at the final stage, and in three weeks I will be able to harvest this crop.

Day 60 Day 25 Flower Showing nice growth still, seeing her stretch now. Healthy looking little one 😁 I'd be happy to see this Terp treez to the end seeing as I had 3 fails. Feeding to tonight 23/04/24 will update pictures after. Day 62 Day 27 Flower - was showing signs of early drying out, and lighter lower leaves so I have done a heavy feed today. 10% run off roughly. She's very happy and healthy, and showing lovely colour potential already in the hues of the leaves. 😍

I've cleaned and disinfected the tent again. It had gotten a little dirty. I removed the scrog and all the plants for cleaning. When I returned them to reset, I decided to remove the scrog and use some LST as I'm just so sick of not being able to get in there because of the net. I added some more LST clips instead. I rearranged the plants to be more spaced out, and instead of having my 3 Purple Punch plants at the back, where I can't see them at all, moved them to the front of the tent for access to see the trichomes development as they are now very close to harvest. Another week or 2 maybe. I watered very well, with Do-sì-dos having a whole 4 litres. Some plants did not need water again, so I left them be.

All the plants are beautiful but some are beautiful. This is the case of Red Hot Cookies, a young lady who stands out, stands out among the others and despite the 6.5 pot she is also growing and swelling well. But her strength is beauty for real, look at these flowers to believe. They are an intense red that goes towards purple which contrasts greatly with the truly wonderful white hairs. Also wonderful are the leaves that are tinged with the classic RHC color near the flower

The ladies are starting to stretch and flower. We also did a defoliation and lollipop session at the end of week 2 flower. Canopy and bud sites look good and are a plenty. Looking forward to next couple of weeks.

2nd October 2018 - Day 99 Burn slows down Third day of flush and she starts to thicken up. Day 100 - Sweet smell begins as she starts to mature. Day 103 - Begining to mture and dense. Day 104 - Water added and pH balanced 5.4 Day 105 - Last week of Flush

My strawberry pies are getting cut down on day 82, they all have some huge thick, dense buds and smell like strawberry cheese cake! By far my favorite strain to date I have grown can’t wait to give a smoke report! Thanks for following & happy growing friends!
