Well, this strain is surely flowering for a long time, it's still stretching. I wonder if it will stop stretching and start fattening the buds this week... Anyhow, one of the reasons why I don't defoliate much is because the plant does that by itself. When the lower leaves receive almost no light (because all the light is blocked by the thick growing canopy) they start to send their nutrients to the top. When they are donez they just fall off on their own. You see, leaves are like solar panels AND nutrient reserves! Just make sure this process is slow and the leaves that receive light are still very healthy and green. If many leaves are falling or if they fall really fast you gotta make sure is not a deficiency or nutrient lockout! ... Again just water your plant with bloom formula (and a bit of calmag) to an EC that allows you to maintain the plant heathly and the runoff not to high (in my case 1mS/cm). Remember to alternate nutrients and pHd tap water. That's pretty much all left to do from here to harvest. Obviously if you see something wrong try to correct it. Day 66 update. I dropped something on my plant. It bended one branch very badly and severed some leaves and a bud :( Well, accidents happen. Luckily cannabis is a very very resilient plant, one might be surprised at how much this plants can take. Anyhow, taped everything together loosely, pulled the most bent branches upwards with a thread and I will wait for it to heal... If everything goes well, this branches should be even stronger than the others. Let's hope that's my fate! Update day 69. Although I have been feeding with 1.0 mS/cm once, then pHd water then feed again, the run off from today measured 3.0 mS/cm ! It's climbing still. I flushed again, until the runoff was at 1.5 mS/cm. I think I understand what happened, my theory is that the plant needs a lot more water now, but not as many more nutrients. So it takes the 2.5 daily liters of water, but it might only eat the nutrients in 1lt of water, so the rest stays on the roots and accumulates, raising the EC of the soil. So far, by checking EC on the soil once every week or two I have avoided nutrient toxicity and lockout. I think there are two options, either lowering the concentration of nutrients I feed it (so 2.5 lts a day will contain less dissolved nutrients), or spacing out the feedings with more intermediate waterings of plain water. I think I am going to go with the former, next week I will try feeding an EC of 0.8 mS/cm on 3L then tap water and so on from next week on. I prefer to underfeed than to overfeed, which is what I recommend for other boobs, it's better to have some yield than to risk killing the plant. We will get better with time...

This thing is a monster for how young it is i can belive how it turned very happy with this company's first grow easy resistant smells good good tricome production with little to no feed just kept it simple no topping she's currently hanging in the grow room now 😊 gonna be a harvest week and thats it for this girl happy growing

ELEPHANT AUTO / SSSC This lady grow with no issues she's not big in stature but she makes up for that with a plant that's as thick as a elephant and hopefully as strong! She produces trichome covered buds that have a distinct aroma to them! She's Easy to grow and doesn't get to tall if you need to grow in a smaller space! Defoled and tied down and she’s pumping now , another week of veg keeping up the defol and spreading her out before flipping. I’ll raise the lights this week to get a bit more vertical growth .

I'm very happy with this weeks progress. They transitioned very well to the garden, which I'm chocking up to the row cover. They didn't need any water due to the thunderstorm we had last night, but I did make a ring around the base of each plant and gave them about 1-2 TBSP of the Coast of Maine Stonington Blend fertilizer. They also got their tomato cages.

Hello. There are 2 rental houses behind our property and I've been concerned in past years about being ripped off. So I thought a baby monitor would give me more of a secure feeling being able to monitor the greenhouse while eating meals and to have it on while I sleep. It has infrared red light for night vision but I don't know how that will affect the plants in the dark if I put right in the grow tent. The plant are growing great and getting heavy already and we still have 5 weeks to go. I found a large bud vertical yesterday when I walked in. So I had to spent a couple of hours tying up the bigger buds. I got 1/2 the table and I will do the other 1/2 today or tomorrow. I sprayed the soil with Spinosad again to get the spores into the soil so they can come in contact any insect larva and latch on and grow. I'm still waiting for the nematodes to arrive. I imagine the Bug Lady is very busy this time of year so it might be a few more weeks before I see them. I haven't seen any powdery mildew in the garden this year so far. These plants are supposed to be mold resistant anyway. We had a hot spell a few weeks ago and a temperature of over 40* C will kill the spores. But it's always good to keep these type of things in the back of your mind so you can be prepared when it happens. Till next week. Chuck.

The girls are growing up and doing well, despite the crazy heat we've been having lately. Cheese and Pineapple have turned into two little monsters! I'm really happy with the result!

I think I overdid it with the watering before the trip, and my vacation replacement was also too generous with the watering and didn't allow the soil to dry out. The CalMag problem, or whatever it was, could also have been caused by the new, more powerful lights, even though I added 50g/20L of dolomite lime to the soil when I started the grow. That was sufficient with the old lights.

Patience my friends, patience. At the point monitoring my plants closely for caterpillars or any insect that will effect this stage of flowering.

It all started out even under the scrog when something came up I tucked it under but for some reason I have a little uneven canopy I'm not complaining it's the first time I've ever tried it I just wish I could figure out why I have that uneven now on the side that's growing a lot I have reflective material on that side and I'm thinking maybe that's the only thing it could be I see a little nuke burn at the tips of the leaves but he's okay I went with pure RO water this time she should be flushed pretty good now

Well week 12 and week 2 of flower started yesterday 8/22. Other than the clones everything is looking good. But to be fair I haven't really done much with them. They're like a bastard step child, I only kept em around out of moral obligation. Lol. J/k...sort of. Nah, just some weird bumps on a couple leaves and from what I can tell it's a copper and or zinc thing so I'm gonna get some Proactive, lol. So the mothers have definitely stretched, lol. Both Barbarian (=AK-47 x Barbara Bud) plants have developed well and carry hefty top buds on each side branch and also the main cola. The lower regions also carry buds, but those are a little more fluffy and not so big and dense as the top buds. In total the two plants harvested 91,3 grams. Every bud is COVERED IN TRICHOMES and the plants glisten in the light, they are FROSTY AS HELL! The plants have a STRONG AROMA now, which is sweet and peachy with hints of sandalwood. They smell ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and the dried weed carries the flavor of this aroma also in the smoke! VERY PEACHY! All in all I can only recommend this strain, its not the biggest yielder, but definitely delivers connoisseur grade weed. Hats off to Mat from House of the Great Gardener in Canada, he has made another GREAT cross and I hope he will release this variety soon! 👍😍😎.

Day 90: Buds are foxtailing like crazy and they are starting to get more tri's really nothing else that i can tell at least. Girls went through hell and back but we still here lol. Thanks for looking and happy growing. 😁

Last week of veg . Gona start. To prep for flowering. ..only fed tap water every 2 days as needed this week. No issues at all. I stopped all lst training so she can stretch bit ..she's getting pretty big she smells real nice. Excited to see her shine these next few weeks. Will update next week on her 1st week of flowering. ..enjoy the organic grow.
