Week 4 Flower – Supercrop Week: Taming the Moon-Shooter Both Sundae Driver girls are thriving, stacking bud sites and frosting up fast. Pheno #2 tried to aim for the moon, so this week I performed a supercrop to keep the canopy even and unlock more lateral sites. She bounced back within days and is already curving up; new sites are catching light beautifully. I also did a light, targeted defoliation to open airflow, nothing heavy. Feed & Mix (this week) Testing a hybrid Aptus + Plagron approach at low solution EC to complement the rich, pre-amended soil. • Plagron Power Buds – 1 ml/L • Plagron Green Sensation – 1 ml/L • Plagron Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L • Aptus Regulator – 0.15 ml/L • Aptus CalMag Boost – light dose, just to keep LED demand covered Why low feed? The living/“easy” soil we built is still hot and active (medium EC ~2.96 mS/cm), so I’m keeping the solution EC ~0.4–0.5 mS/cm with pH ~6.1. That lets the soil do most of the work while I steer with gentle inputs and avoid salt stacking or tip burn. ⸻ Deep Dive: Supercropping (What, Why, When, How) What it is Supercropping is a high-control, high-reward training move: you soften (pinch) the inner stem tissues and bend the stem over without tearing the skin. The plant heals with a strong “knuckle,” redistributes hormones, and pushes more energy to side shoots. Result: flatter canopy, better light use, more productive sites. Why do it (Week 4 Flower)? • Pheno #2 outpaced the canopy and was nearing the lights • Even canopy = more uniform PPFD and bud development • Bending redirects auxins to lower sites → more usable bud sites • A late stretch check without heavy cutting Best timing • Ideal: late veg through early flower stretch (Weeks 2–4 of flower) while stems are still pliable. • Later than Week 4: be more cautious—stems lignify and snap easier. Step-by-step 1. Hydrate first: Slightly hydrated plants bend better than very dry ones. 2. Choose the internode you want to lower (usually the tall outlier). 3. Pinch and roll the stem gently between thumb and forefinger for 5–10 seconds to soften the pith. 4. Bend to ~45–90° toward an open space in the canopy. 5. Support: If the skin shows micro-cracks, wrap loosely with plant tape; add a soft tie or stake to hold position. 6. Aftercare: Keep airflow up, avoid heavy feeding changes for 24–48h, and don’t stack stress (no major pruning at the same time). What to expect after • Leaves may droop for a few hours; prayer and curve-up typically return within 24–72 hours. • A hardened knuckle forms in 3–7 days, strengthening the stem. • Side sites along the bent branch accelerate; top re-orients upward. • Usually less foxtailing later because tops are kept at ideal distance from the light. Risks & how to avoid them • Snap/tear: Don’t bend dry or cold stems; soften first and bend slowly. • Infection: If skin splits, tape loosely and keep humidity in check. • Over-stressing: Avoid combining with heavy defol or big feed changes on the same day. ⸻ Canopy & Care Notes • Minor defoliation only this week—just a few broad fans that shaded key sites. I prefer leaf tucking elsewhere to preserve photosynthetic “engines.” • Aroma is coming on; both phenos are stacking clean white pistils with visible trichome build on sugar leaves. • I took the girls outside the tent for a careful studio shoot—this might be the last time. Intentional supercropping is great; accidental branch breaks during handling are not. ⸻ Why this recipe (and why it’s gentle) • Power Buds helps flower initiation/transition behave predictably. • Green Sensation brings a compact PK + micro package and carbs; paired at low EC to avoid over-layering with the soil’s nutrients. • Sugar Royal supports metabolism and aroma precursors. • Regulator + CalMag keep cell walls strong, transpiration steady, and LEDs fed. • With substrate EC ~2.96, I’m letting biology and amendments supply most macros; the solution (~0.4–0.5 EC, pH ~6.1) is a steering wheel, not the engine. ⸻ What’s Happening Now • Stretch is nearly done; supercrop leveled the canopy without stalling growth. • Bud sites multiplying and beginning early stacking. • Trichomes appearing across sugar leaves; calyx build just starting. What to Expect Next (Week 5+) • Expect: • Stretch to taper off; energy shifts into stacking and calyx swell • Noticeably more trichomes; first hints of terp profile intensifying • The supercropped knuckle to fully harden; consider stakes or light trellis to support future weight • Don’t expect (yet): • Final density or full resin push—that’s more a Weeks 6–8 game • Heavy leaf stripping; I’ll keep it light to protect photosynthesis • Keep an eye on: • Humidity management as flowers bulk—tighten RH stepwise to mid-50s to reduce microclimate risk • Mg/K demand under strong LEDs (watch for interveinal fade or edge crisping) • Wound sites from supercrop—good airflow, no standing moisture ⸻ Connection & Monitoring I’ve logged a set of videos this week: TrolMaster data screens plus hands-on canopy time. Hello Growers & Tokers! The route to having a jungle starts with the roots! That's why my main goal in those first 14-21 days is developing the root system. I like to give them time to expand the roots which is very important for a healthy plant. That also gives them more time to get bigger and stronger before going into flower. More growth, more bud sites, more buds. Trust me the wait is worth the reward. We'll be seeing some truly sweet and zenzational flowers. This week they got transplanted to their final pot, 11L fabric pots. It's one step closer to getting that jungle, zenzational! Medium used was Light Mix from BioBizz. Synergy from Grotek nutrients was blended in the medium to help out the roots. Let the mycorrhizae do its job and take over the soil, then the roots just follow. Germination 20 September 2023 Heya 🤙👍🤙🌱🌱🌱 In the heart of a humble garden, a miraculous journey is about to unfold. Beneath the soil's dark, nurturing embrace, a seed lies dormant, awaiting the precise moment to burst forth into life. It is a marvel of nature, a tiny capsule of potential, encoded with the blueprints of the plant it aspires to become. As the heavens open, raindrops penetrate the earth, quenching the thirst of the soil and signaling to the seed that its time has come. The seed absorbs this life-giving moisture, swelling as it takes in water. It's as if the seed is awakening from a long slumber, stretching its embryonic limbs for the very first time. Within this subterranean realm, the seed's outer coat softens, and a tiny rootlet begins to emerge. This is the radicle, the seed's first root, and it instinctively knows to journey downward, anchoring itself into the soil. It is the plant's lifeline, seeking out water and nutrients essential for growth. Simultaneously, a delicate shoot, known as the plumule, makes its way upwards, drawn by an invisible force towards the sky. It is a daring expedition, fraught with obstacles, as it navigates through the soil. Yet, guided by an innate sense of direction, it perseveres. Finally, breaking through the soil's surface, the shoot unfurls its first leaves, miniature versions of what they will one day become. These are the cotyledons, a pair of leaves that have been stored within the seed, packed with nutrients to sustain the young plant in its earliest days. 9/29 Watered at 1.2 mS/cm. LST. 10/2 Watered at 1.3 mS/cm. LST. Defoliation. Tucked the leaves I could. Found a few wet spots. Adjusted fan. Concerned about the whorled phyllotaxy. She is cool but much taller than the rest of the plants. Not sure if I should raise other plants or super- crop it. The main stem is slightly larger than a pencil and it IS an Autoflower in week 4. Is not flowering... Yet! 10/3 LST, leaf tucking. Defoliation. Rotated plants. 10/4 Switched to week 1 flowering nutrient mix. Watered at 1.35 mS/cm. mixed 5 gallons. All plans are drinking heavily now and look amazing. Might go ahead and stick with the veg nutrients for the turtle Taffy since it was such a latecomer to the party. Using water transfer pump. Lights at 50% and 22 inches. About to get crowded in there. 10/5 Rotated plants. Watered to 10-20% runoff. Keeping lights at 50% and 24". 1.35 mS/cm. Continue leaf tucking and LST. 1.4 mS/cm 50%lights big growth and many bud sites. This was last feeding with Bud Ignitor.

RS11 will need more time, longer flower time (9weeks) than cherry mac muffin (7-8 weeks) Cherry Mac Muffin very sweet und for MAC typical terpenes like a creamy vanilla butter or something similar 😮‍💨😋 RS11 very fresh, flowery fruity terpenes I think next week they will be much stronger

Foi uma excelente semana, fui aumentando gradualmente as regas de 70ml/100/250 e no dia 17 já levou meio litro de agua + a primeira nutrição. Apenas 3 estão assim menos bem desenvolvidas e serão aquelas que irão ficar fora da tenda. Aumentei a potencia para 400W que resulta nos tais 600ppfd no centro e 400 e tal nas pontas da tenda. Estava apenas uma ventoinha ligada e o extrator esta semana, iniciarem adicionando uma ventoinha e talvez para o fim da semana coloque a entrada de ar, isto porque tirei-a para tentar manter a tem e a humidade no ponto, tendo em conta que sempre faz a circulação de ar porque deixo a entrada de baixo aberto e faz o ar circular.

Durch das erneute Topping aller Haupttriebe und das anwenden der LST Technik wird das Höhenwachstum gut im Zaun gehalten. Ich habe die Triebe mit Erdnägeln nach unten gedrückt, damit die Pflanze nun besser in die Breite wachsen kann. Ich denke, das die Pflanze nun doch noch eine zusätzliche Woche in der Vegetativen Phase bleibt und dann in die Blüte übergeleitet wird, da es sich um eine reine Sativa handelt. Day 28 from cutting they are EATING GOOD! I feel they were a bit hungry but are so happy now. They are reaching for the sky! Watered on Dec 14 with a ppm of around 900 of 6ml /gal A+B 6 ml FS 2ML golden tree. I'm seeing some signs of a few things that I have pretty much eliminated down to either a nutrient deficiency or a need to transplant either way this weekend I'm going to do it and we will see what the results are!

Last week there was a hurricane coming this way 🤦🤷 so i placed the plant in front of the window but of course 0 sunlight, this means we lost some critical time of the buds getting bigger and fatter, bad luck 😔 i think we are giving this plant 1 more week

Been going so well plants looking amazing they're going to find bigger pots by next weeks update and be in the veg room under there new lights and out of the tent lots more space and lots more light

12/31: They are both coming along nicely.👍 Today was the first day in which I fed them some Big Bloom and Boomerang along with humic acid, pH'd to 6.1. 1/3: I've been letting them dry out a bit for the last two days. They've got roots coming out the bottoms now...I'll probably transplant them into 5 gallon fabric pots tomorrow or the next day. I ordered a 4' 180w tube light with 578 LEDs..it has a 360 degree beam with 3000k and a bunch of 660nm. It's waterproof, so no worries about keeping it beneath my canopy to illuminate the lower branches and hopefully increase the density of those buds that never get much top-lighting. Today, I mounted my two new 24w UVA LED lights (395-405nm) to my frame. I'll run them 6 hours a day from the time I put the plants into my closet, until harvest. It is my understanding that exposure to UVA, particularly during the vegetative stage, triggers many different plant defense hormones, which speed growth and can increase heartiness to withstand constant exposure to UVB without suffering as much cellular damage as usual. I'm also ordering a 2' Solacure FlowerPower UVB (285nm-310nm) next week to use during flowering to stress the plants and increase trichome production. 1/4: I foliar fed them with big bloom and fulvic acid a few times today and gave them about 4 ounces to drink. 1/5: Transplanting day. I dusted their roots with magic dust and transplanted them into 5 gallon pots today. I had some excellent compost with biochar and myco that I mixed into their soil, too. I watered them in with about 2 quarts of their first taste of full strength veg nutes, plus mycorrhizal fungi, trichoderma, beneficial bacteria, and humic acid, then I sprayed them with biotabs boomboom spray when finished. The were moved into the closet under the quantum boards, UVA's, and a pair of MiracleLED blue bulbs. I'll start adding far-red spectra to the equation in the next few days.

Smooth sailing, but if there's no pest pressure, that's mostly the case for me at this stage. Early flower and finishing can be tricky, but mid flower is just watching the ladies get plump. I did spot the first signs of an imbalance, will not intervene in any way, as I want to see what the baseline of just stupidly sticking biotabs in the soil is. I cut my tap water with RO to an EC of 0,4 and we have almost no Mg in the tap water, no runoff either, probably there is an imbalance of the K:Ca:Mg ratio causing some problems. If i intervened, I would start pHing the water and adding some epsom salts. Like this I just hope that it will lead into a nice fade and not have too much impact on flavor.

Flowering stage now. Will only use BioBizz. Still doing some LST. Will update by end of week on progress. No issues so far, good genetics indeed. Yesterday added some shock to the plants, added ice water. To simulate cold.

Por una parte tenemos la que llamaremos Biscotii 1: Tiene un tamaño monstruoso, que tuve que doblar en varias ocasiones el tallo porque no me daba más el foco para subirlo. De hecho una de las ocasiones me quemo una hoja del puntal y un pelín la puntita y como se puede ver hizo que la punta parezca un monstruo!! enorme, grande y de forma especial. Hay gente en instagram que me pregunta que si lleva anabolizantes jajaajja lo más parecido a eso es los nutrientes de plagron!!! Que las revienta a las pequeñas Esta tiene unos tonos morados que la hacen muy atractiva y una resina generosa. El olor es fuerte y la altura estirada es una pasada!! Por otra parte la Biscotti 2: El tamaño es inferior que la anterior, pero no por eso diría que poco productiva... Tiene un central que da miedo igualmente, los satélites son una pasada llena de resina. En esta ocasión no tiene tonos morados, pero tiene mayor resina. En general ambas dos tapan la botella de litro y medio de agua, prieta, olorosa y con resina para aburrir!! 😍😍😍😍😍 El peso le pondré en seco en cuanto lo pese 😇

Start of Week 7! Day 44 - 12/12 Looks like I guessed right with the seed swap because this girl has clearly shown she's the LSD-25 this past week. Very excited for my first purple plant since I wasn't able to pull much purple out of my Chocolate Mint OG in my first grow. Glad I have 2 more seeds of this strain so I can give them a better chance at growing up before flower in a future grow. Maf' looks like a Solo Cup Challenge in a 5gal pot 😅 Adjusted the LST and clipped two fan leaves between the top nodes to give the secondary sites a bit more light (Not shown in Day 44 pics) Fed with the same PH Perfect MGB/Molasses mix but upped the MGB to .75ml a gal split between the 3 plants I have going now and given a water chaser to keep the top layer clean from build up. Day 48 - 12/16 Gave another wash out feeding with gallon and a half of Water/Molasses mix split between the LSD and two Cali Snows. Also added D-Earth as a preventative measure on the soil since they're starting to form buds. Trying to avoid any future harmful chems or oils on the flowers if some little buggers decide to move in plus it kind of adds silica when you water it in. Pulled the plants out for a good look and slight LST adjustment. Not much to do on the LSD-25 since she set flower early and the size/structure is locked in. Can only lean and spread to try and get the small amount of bud sites to fatten as much as possible. It is very exciting to watch the purple starting to form in the buds and leaves. She won't be big but I'll try and make her pretty fo sure 😈 Not too much smell to her yet but it could also be due to the fact that the Cali Snows I have are starting to get their stank on and probably overpowering anything the LSD is throwing out. Day 50 - 12/18 Biggest feed so far! Split 1.5ml each of PH Perfect MGB kit and 2 tsp across 2 gallons of feeding solution. LSD-25 got 0.5ml each + 1tsp Molasses and chased with a couple more litres (You imperial American's got me all messed up on this site) Will give a day to dry a bit before giving the top layer of soil a spray down with water to get rid of any residue then top with a D-Earth sprinkle and let sit until it's time for another feed. This is the fun phase of having to take pictures every day or else you don't notice just how big the buds are starting to get day by day! Plants are getting too big for enough light coverage, so had to buy a second grow light. As noted before, the plant was getting out of hand and growing at many different heights making it difficult to set the optimum light distance. So, I went a little crazy and did some serious pruning (yes, during flowing, I know). Also trimmed off a number of fan leaves that were either beginning to yellow or were otherwise blocking valuable light from the many of the smaller buds. Fortunately my plants are very resilient and are finally at mostly equal heights now. Hindsight 20/20: I now have a better idea of how to route my plants using the ScrOG method. I found a well written blog that answered all the questions I had that other article didn't. Bottom line: Instead of allowing the main branches to grow through the netting and re-route the offshoots, I've found it's better to keep the main branches under the netting and allow the off-shoots to grow through instead. Think of it as the plant growing sideways.
