I started germination of this Gold Bar Kush bean on 29/12/2020. I pre moistened my rockwool cube with ph balanced water to 6.4. Made sure the plug was just damp and not soaked. Using a small wooden dowel I increased the size of the plugs pre made hole. Than I sowed my bean into the hole. Ripped off a small piece of rockwool and mulched it up. Lightly filled the hole in with the mulched rockwool. Than stuck the plug into a misted humidity dome, to complete germination. Shouldn't take anymore than 4-5 days to see a sprout. Once I see some cotlydon leaves bursting to the surface. I will get the plug planted into a 1 gallon pot. Plus get this lady situated into her new home. Cant wait! Some background information on my first run with GBK. It's a VERY robust variety packing hella branches, hella quick. Prime candidate for continues ongoing lst work. To maintain a clean,uncongested even canopy. She can become a jungle quick if left untamed. Shes very easy going in the nutrient department. Not hard to keep this one happy. Packs on lots of weight everywhere towards end of flower. Branches most definitely need some support or they will come crashing down. The flavor and aroma from this variety sre majestic. The intense indica effects are heavenly. Not hard to guess why it's back in the grow room for round 2.

Not the greatest but that’s down to the grower not the products. Buds are nice and solid but could’ve probably used an extra week or two. Nevertheless I’m still enjoying my very own organic weed. I’ll definitely grow this again and when I do I may LST one and see how she does compared with one left to grow in a natural central column. Happy growing peeps 🐞🤙🌱

Overall, I would definitely grow this strain again and probably will to see if I can do better a second time around.

Great strain! Very simple at all levels and with great results. I harvested 2 plants with 79 days and 2 plants with 83 days. I trim with little work due to the small amount of leaves. uniform, fat and crystallized buds. 505gr of wet buds. they are drying, as soon as they are dry I will update again.After 12 days of drying, 166gr of dried buds. Day 133 23/08/25 Saturday Allowing 24-48 hrs of dark to encourage more amber trichomes. Time depends on soil dryness. Day 135 25/08/25 Monday Harvest day has finally arrived , Trichomes are 50-70% amber. The smell is intoxicating, aromas of sweet candy, and a pungent deep blueberry

Day 37 from seed. 2nd day into week 6. -My focus for this week is to keep room temperatures under 75 degrees since I notice that my roots don’t like high nutrients temp. And since I m in DWC single 5 gallons bucket I don’t have the possibility to chill the water. So I have to keep the room temp lower then I wish to. - Day 41- I have to add nutrients and PH down every 12 hours. My PPM’s goes from 450 to 390 and my PH drift from 5.7 to 6.2 in less then 12 hours. Also I notice some rust on older levels (probably Ca/Mg deficiency). After some research (I’m new to this) I decided to up the nutrients to 600 PPM’s. Hopefully is a good decision. I will really appreciate some feedback.

25/04/2023 Day 69 I cut the "twins" and finally discovered the inside of the DWC MyPot. I took lots of pics so you can see the unexpected plant of the seed that I lost in the clay and then germinated anyway and found an awkward path to the surface through a tiny hole! Unbelievable! I also found that the watering tube from the pump had moved during manipulation, don't know for how long it has been pressed between the upper and lower parts on the DWC. Pretty sure for that final plants had received less or no feeding solution, and the use of Clean might not have been efficient. I guess it's also the reason why I found the white (?) on the top of the clay, salts and something else, because of lack of watering. Will come back in 3 weeks, will be dry and then I'll can trim and weight. And smoke, yeah! Not expecting much and could be hard to smoke if the cleaning was not efficient. Anyway, the next one will be better!

Week 15. 50 days of growth, 49 days flowering, stalled in between (growth phase), which was a good thing, it allowed time to go by and 2 plants were gone by the time she was coming into heavy flower and RH was in a much more desired range of 50-55 still high I know but the last 2 weeks I've been able to bring her right down. I know it's a little to late. But it has frosted up. I'm going to try 2 get more trichs for her final week. I've taken most her fan leafs and some sugar leafs, will hopefully send the plant into an overdrive of sorts and will force the plant to defend itself releasing more sugars and movemebt of fluids to stressed parts. Also I took half of lots of sugar leafs and the remaining fan leafs I cut halfs off. Dunno if this will help but I'm trying new things here, well new for my understanding, not new new (Targeted defol to get extra trichs/resin). Put her on a flush, just 3l she was still eating ppm was 150 from 1l of run-off I caught tap water is 78ppm. Topped her up with flawless finish today her 1st 1l 1 9f 2 for this week she'll get water then another flawless finish on day 6 and ill keep her on that and 1 more watering tben imto dsrk windoe 36-48hrs. Will hang dry, hopefully the whole plant. And will give her a l of water before harvest to prolong drying time for a 10-14 day dry at 55-60%rh 19-21c. Thanks for reading. This will possible be the last update if things get frontier as a result of what I did I'll post updates but what I'm gonna do is already planned. So update will only be on if quality has improved by eye. 16/4/22 Targeted defoliation and trimming the sugar leafs, (be sure just to take some leaf, not frosted). It'll send your plant into overdrive and it'll think she's been eaten alive and it'll force her to defend and prop herself up increasing in resin/long trichs. This is all theory btw. As there is no real way to tell if this works, you'd only know by growing this stain many many times and doing 50/50 And you might, might be able to tell if it's had an impact. But it wont hurt, that's if u don't take too much. So, I checked over and over and over her. Ponderd and then paused, smoked a few blunts, many bongs later and an hour goof. After taking a look after her 12hr rest her stigma is so little and she's flushed. Stopped eating more or less. Maybe she could do with another week. But sadly, 102 days is all I can Will be in the 55-57 day window of flowering after rest. So Barneys are solid in flowering time, id say she'd of only been an 12-13 wker like the zkittlez organic, as when there is little trouble or stalls barneys grow windows are usually spot on. They both gotta come out tbh . Zkittlez I'm going to push to the last day I possibly can. I plan to heavily feed this girl with water tonight (TDA), tomorrow and then 1hr again before harvest. This hopefully will prolong the drying time. When chopped all her sugar, fan leafs will be left on. After she dries for 4-5 days I'll trim off all sugar/fan leafs without frost and then after she's fully dry I'll trim to get to the end product and of course I'll be smoking all frosty trim, if there's enough I'll try my hand at bubble hash. We shall see, either way it'll be smoked as it's frosty as crap. This plant has been a true gem to work with Barneys has truly out did themselves. This was my tester, it was a freebie test seed that was dropped and I was just going to plant q zkittlez but ended up putting my hand in my pocket and guess what, there was a TDA seed it. I was sitting down and dropped it, thought fell through the sofa after it popped out of the seal and thankfully she got planted, as she would of been just another zkittlez, I love it and all, but I'm a little tired of smoking the same stuff tbh. It's lovely and all, but a bit of variety and all that good stuff! Happily I'm going to get some nice and frosty TANGERINE DREAM AUTO. Who knows what she'll give.
