Here we are into the beginning of true flowering! Stacking has begun, flower development is coming along beautifully, both plants are loving the 900PPFD & 2.0EC feed without signs of stress. Co2 is being implemented this week & leaf tucking will continue. The Bride Cake has surprised me with its stretch during this last week or 2, Growing nearly an inch every other day. No real serious trichome development yet so only a faint smell when first opening the tent. Both plants are drinking quite a lot which I’m very happy to see.

Kaktus Candy Berey wächst aufgrund der niedrigen Temperaturen sehr langsam. Ich schaue nach meinen Töpfen auf dem Balkon. Regelmäßig füttere ich das Bodenleben mit Teeresten und vaporisierten Blütenresten. Meine Würmer sind ständig high und arbeiten nur sehr langsam. Mehrere Pilzgattungen fruktifizieren, ich mache ein paar Makro Aufnahmen und dampfe gemütlich eine selbstangebaute Blüte vom Frühsommer auf dem Balkon.

At the end of the week i give 1.4 EC nutrients. So far so good 😊

This is the first greenhouse grow I’ve done. I’m using a shelter logic 12’x20’ translucent portable garage, because we store a car in it for the winter. I’m growing 5 Ethos genetics plants, 1 DNA genetics plant, 2 clones from my winter grow, and 3 unknown autoflowers.

Another week over us , and it’s been a good week for trichome production and packing on some girth :) We are into week 8 and the look and smell of this c4 has my mouth watering every time I go near the grow room .

Starting week 1 of flower on this Bruce Banner Auto from FastBuds! She has been a pleasure to grow so far! Had some minor issues dialing in her water amounts last week but she is starting to look better. Im sure last week put a hurting on growth rate but she will still produce nicely. More updates soon! Day 45 she is starting to perk up more and finally stretching out some! Still monitoring her situation closely though as she does have some slight yellowing around the edges but it may of just been watering issues. She is also incredibly compact and bushy right now. In about a week or so after stretching I'm gonna have to defoliate and open her up some most likely. Day 47 she is looking better yet! She is really showing signs of perking up fully and bouncing back! She definitely took a beating with these water issues but I think I got her figured out now. We increased airflow around her pot even more so she can dry out better. I suspect the bottom of her pot was staying too wet for daily watering causing issues. Now she seems to be drying out quicker and looking much happier. Day 48 we removed some dead and dying leaves that she had on her lowers. Looking nice and perky today and starting to stretch out a lot more.

Gestern haben wir unser Pflanze entlaubt, damit sie Luft bekommt und weniger Ungeziefer mit ins Zelt bringt. Dann wurde sie gestretcht damit sie durch die Türen passt. Im Zelt angekommen haben wir die Folie entfernt und haben die hohen Nebentriebe mit Strick unter Low-Stress Verfahren befestigt. Somit bekommen jetzt auch die unteren Triebe/ Blüten ausreichend und mehr Licht. Da sie jetzt sicherlich wieder ausreichend gestresst ist, sehen wir erstmal in den nächsten Tagen keine Entlaubung vor. Dies werden wir dann ca. Ende der Woche vornehmen. Bisher wenig Ungeziefer, zusätzlich haben wir 3 Gelbtafeln reingehangen. Die Lampe war gestern zur Eingewöhnung auf 400/600 Watt eingestellt, ab heute sind wir auf volle Leistung gegangen mit 720 Watt inkl. Deep Red Mode. Wir freuen uns auf die folgende Woche und wünschen allen Growern eine schöne Restwoche und viel Erfolg beim Growen!

It was very hot this week with temp of alomst 40C without wind.. Temp is now a bit lower.. and letshope she can get some weight on her those last weex! The dame's a sight to behold, all lush and green, but there's something missing. The flowers, they're just not there. Tiny ones, a few here and there, like stars in a dark sky. I left her in the care of the smart watering system while I was away, a gamble that paid off. She's healthy, strong, but as I suspected the harvest will be slim. A rookie mistake, they all say. But I'm learning, and that's worth something. I'll give her a few more weeks, maybe she'll surprise me.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Starting to get some real buds now. Color in leaves changed within 3days. Had me super nervous I screwed up the plant. Thought I was dealing with a ph issue because of how early the leaves changed colors. Green spots on leaves are from me not turing down the light fast enough.

Hey everyone! 😁 Another week, another update and I've learnt a lot this week! It seems my theory that I was underfeeding Puff was right (I mean, it's not rocket science and I confused charts haha) and I had to do something to fix this issue! Some people I talked with recommended me to buy a product called "Revive" from Advanced Nutrients since it would help with a faster recovery than just adapting the nutrients... and it seems it works! I applied it twice (this week's post) and the next and the improvements are really noticeable! (specially now!) My concern now tho is when I should start flushing! Puff should be ready soon and supposedly I should start doing it two weeks before harvest... and I should harvest when trichomes are 50 cloudy and 50 amber... but how can I tell when I those two weeks are close? The trichomes should be 20% amber? 10% amber? It's confusing! 😱 I know as well that the two weeks flush is just a number, I could also flush for one week but I still don't know WHEN it'll be the right time to start doing it but I think that by the middle of the next week or by the end of it I'll start doing it. Die fünfte Woche startet mit einer (Teil-)Entlaubung, das Blätterdach ist wieder sehr dicht gewachsen. Die Blätter bekommen wieder ein satteres grün. Irgendwann innerhalb der nächsten Wochen sollten sie ihr Geschlecht zu erkennen geben, noch sind sie etwas schüchtern. Ich sehe die ersten Anzeichen, kann es aber noch nicht klar deuten - abwarten und Tee trinken. Ich habe dem Wassertank meines Autopot Systems einen Luftstein hinzugefügt. Wird das einen großen Effekt bringen? - keine Ahnung. Kann es schaden? - ich denke nicht. So langsam zeigen sich die ersten weiblichen Vorblüten, ich kann aber noch nicht bei allen 13 Pflanzen mit Sicherheit das Geschlecht bestimmen.
