FatnastyzBudz Dropped this bad girl in some water and a bit of peroxide. Scuffed shell with sandpaper first. 30ish hours later, we got a tiny tail! Moved to jiffy puck and wait for her to sprout 🌱 We have issues in between this time. So we shall see how it goes! πŸ”— Support the grow! FatnastyzBudz Fast Buds Auto Run - Day 1 | Operation Shell Removal Today officially marks Day 1 of another exciting Fast Buds autoflower run, and this little lady decided to make an entrance. Everything started out normally until she emerged wearing a stubborn helmet head. After watching closely and giving her some time to work it out herself, it became clear that intervention might be needed. Rather than risk these giant cat paws doing more harm than good, I officially enlisted the missus for Operation Shell Removal. 😹 Mission Status: SUCCESS! The seed shell and membrane were carefully removed, and within 24 hours she rewarded us by fully opening her cotyledons and beginning to push out her first true leaves. No damage, no drama, and she's already looking happy and healthy. Since the taproot had already emerged from the bottom of the jiffy puck, I decided it was time to move her into her final home and let those roots continue exploring. Genetics This grow is proudly sponsored by Fast Buds Genetics, and I'm excited to document the entire journey from seedling to harvest. Medium & Pot Setup For this run, she's been transplanted into: - 3 Gallon Fabric Pot - Pro-Mix HP - 1 Tablespoon BuildASoil Craft Blend - 1/8 Cup Earthworm Castings - 1 Teaspoon Mycorrhizae applied directly to the transplant hole My goal is to keep this grow simple and let the plant do what it does best. The BuildASoil Craft Blend will serve as the primary nutrient source during early vegetative growth, providing a gentle organic nutrient charge while the earthworm castings help introduce beneficial biology and organic matter into the root zone. The mycorrhizae were applied directly at transplant to maximize root contact and encourage rapid root development from the very beginning. A huge thank you to Pro-Mix for providing the Pro-Mix HP used in this grow. The excellent drainage and aeration make it a fantastic medium for developing strong roots and healthy plants. Transplant Day Once the taproot emerged from the jiffy puck and the seedling showed signs of recovering from the helmet head issue, she was transplanted directly into her final 3-gallon container. After transplant, she received approximately 250 mL of water around the root zone to settle the medium, activate the mycorrhizae, and encourage roots to begin exploring their new environment. At this stage, the focus isn't explosive top growth. The mission is simple: - Build roots - Establish biology - Minimize stress - Create a strong foundation Everything above the soil starts with what happens below it. Environmental Monitoring This journal also marks my first full grow using the new Ecowitt WH52 Soil EC Sensor. The WH52 sensor was installed at transplant and will remain in the pot throughout the grow, allowing me to monitor: - Root zone moisture - Electrical conductivity (EC) - Root zone temperature I'm excited to see what kind of data we can collect throughout the grow and compare it against previous runs. Having real-time root zone information should provide some valuable insights as she develops. A huge thank you to Ecowitt for the opportunity to test and showcase the WH52 Soil EC Sensor. Lighting The seedling is currently receiving approximately 150-200 PPFD while she establishes herself in the new container. For now, less is more. Healthy roots, steady growth, and minimal stress are the priorities. Looking Ahead Operation Shell Removal was a success, the transplant is complete, and the first true leaves are already reaching for the light. Now it's time to let the roots take over, settle into the Pro-Mix HP, and begin building the foundation for what I hope will be another amazing Fast Buds grow. Thanks for following along. The adventure is just getting started. FatnastyzBudz Week 2 - Building the Foundation 🌱 Fast Buds Guava Runtz Auto | Day 10 The Guava Runtz is officially settling into her final 3-gallon home and looking comfortable in the Pro-Mix HP. This week has been all about patience and root development. At only Day 10, I'm not worried about explosive growth above the soil yet. Right now the focus is building a strong root system that will support healthy growth throughout the rest of the run. She's growing in a simple organic setup consisting of Pro-Mix HP amended with BuildASoil Craft Blend, earthworm castings, and mycorrhizae. My goal for this grow is to keep things straightforward, let the biology do its thing, and allow the plant to establish naturally before asking too much from her. Watering & Feedings June 9 - 500 mL Water - Cal-Mag - Voodoo Juice June 13 - 750 mL Water - Cal-Mag - Voodoo Juice The increase in water volume is a good sign that she's beginning to occupy more of the container and is ready to start exploring her new home. Root Zone Monitoring The Ecowitt WH52 Soil EC Sensor remains in the pot and continues tracking root zone conditions as she develops. One of the things I'm most interested in during this run is seeing how the moisture and EC trends change as the root mass expands and the plant begins demanding more water. Current Status So far, she's doing exactly what I want to see at this stage. - Healthy new growth - Nice color - No signs of stress - Roots continuing to establish Sometimes the hardest part of growing autos is staying out of their way early on. Everything above the soil starts with what happens below it, and right now she's focused on building the foundation for the weeks ahead. Looking Ahead For the next week, the plan remains simple: continue supporting root development, maintain a stable environment, and let her settle deeper into vegetative growth. No rushing. No unnecessary stress. Just steady progress and letting the plant lead the way. So far, so good. 🌱

FatnastyzBudz Day 13 and the Guava Runtz is settling in nicely. 🌱 This week was all about root development and she's starting to show it. Water demand has increased from 500 mL to 1 liter, telling me she's getting established in her 3-gallon home. She received Cal-Mag, Voodoo Juice, and a little Recharge to help keep the biology thriving in the Pro-Mix HP and BuildASoil Craft Blend. The Ecowitt moisture sensor has been helping dial in watering timing, and so far she's showing healthy growth, tight node spacing, and a sturdy stem. Nothing flashy this weekβ€”just a healthy plant doing healthy plant things. Exactly what I like to see heading into the rapid growth phase. πŸ”₯🌱 πŸ”— Support the grow! FatnastyzBudz 🌱 She officially showed her first pistils on Day 21, marking the start of stretch. I gave her a top dress of Craft Blend, BuildABloom, and worm castings, then watered it in with Cal-Mag and kelp. She's happy, healthy, and ready to take off. πŸš€ πŸ”— Support the grow! FatnastyzBudz 🌸 Week 2 of Flower Guava Runtz is settling into flower and starting to stack some sites. Made a few more LST adjustments this week to keep the canopy spread out and let those tops find their lanes. We’ve also been stuck in a nasty heat wave, with tent temps pushing into the mid-80s. She’s showing some leaf curl, which I’m leaning toward being a mix of heat stress and a little too much nitrogen for an auto. Moisture tracking shows she’s drying back properly, so I’m confident this isn’t an overwatering issue. Starting to think every time I break out the worm castings, the cat claws come out. πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸ˜‚ She’s also shifted into an every-other-day watering rhythm now. Not picture perfect, but she’s moving forward and flowering hard. 🌱πŸ”₯ πŸ”— Support the grow! FatnastyzBudz Kept it simple and let the soil buffet do its thing. Stretch is still rolling and she's stacking fresh pistils everywhere. Claws are hanging around, but she seems to be settling in after backing off the nitrogen. Now it's time to let her cruise and start packing on some flowers. 🌱πŸ”₯
