Week 3: 2 are thriving 10" and 7", 1 slightly smaller 3", 1 quite small but healthy green and 1 sickly. light is now at full so I will wait while they grow into the light but may lower it depending on how they take the light. I will slowly bring it to 3'. Started the calmag and increasing nutes.

This week they did more stretching as you can see the one on the left is into and above the light! I can't believe this but I'll role with it! I slowly defoliate just a little here and there between watering and filling the humidifiers. They really like to eat! Also, something to note that is they love the humidity as well as the warmth. I had to clean the outside of their grow bags this week. To my surprise the roots are starting to come out the bag! I can't believe it but this is awesome! Now they'll die due to contact with the air, and in return get bigger to take in even more nutrients! As predicted they fell off because their little pieces are on the floor. Well I fed and watered them daily. Like normal whenever I fed them either nutrients or soil amendments I made sure to water the plants with plain pH balanced H2O the next day in order to flush them. Then I would do any soil amendments if needed. After that plain pH balanced H20 and then you could do another fertilizer nutrient for them. After that pH balanced H20 and then you return to the soil amendments if needed. That way every other day you're feeding soil then pH balanced H20 then nutrients then pH balanced H20. This will allow you to monitor pH imbalances, nutrient burn, or any subtle changes you need to make you can catch it before it happens hopefully!

Okay so I came up with this incredible method of training that I call "root lining".I figured this out years ago in outdoor season when a deer bulldozed through my med crop and knocked a sweet lady over, that started it all. The plant was completely parallel to the ground with roots growing out of the nodes where contact was made with the ground at the stock. Long story short she ended up being a 14 footer with 6 foot whale dicks! That gave me this little idea that's been non stop producing top quality fat resinous buds. This method increases nutrient uptake and makes a huge difference in quality and size. I essentially main line, really low to the ground, until the stock makes full contact with the ground. I then gently rub the downside of the stock with the back of a butter knife to speed things up and break down the chlorophyll layer. Then I add remo roots gel (see all videos). I then add a sprinkle of coco on top just to barely cover the stock (dont add to thick of a layer as this might "choke" and rot the stock) and mist that spot 2-3 times a day. 3 days later and boom! She'll be pumping out roots and go into full beast mode. Give it a try and you'll never go back!

(Bloom test week) I decided to put both plants into bloom to determine the sex of each one. The Right hand plant was a Male (sad times) the left plant however is a winner and is looking super healthy , i have now switched the lights back into veg at the end of this week, aiming for another 3-4 weeks of veg.

To increase the surface and the penetration angle, I tied the HPS lamp cable to the fan in order to create a small oscillation of the lamp. You can look it on my demonstration video.

As the plant enters the fifth week of flowering, the first trichomes have begun to form. The buds have started to thicken considerably during this week. They are becoming denser and more robust, which indicates that the plant is channeling its energy into producing larger, more resinous flowers. Throughout the growth process, the cannabis plant has shown no signs of health issues. It has remained vigorous and resilient, with no observable deficiencies or diseases. To ensure optimal light penetration and airflow, the plant was lightly defoliated this week. The cannabis plant is progressing well in its fifth week of flowering. The formation of trichomes, the thickening of buds, and the plant's overall health are all promising indicators of a successful flowering phase.

Her flowers are continuing to bulk up and are covered in glistening trichomes. I watered today with 1.5g of de-chlorinated water which was then ph'd to 6.6 @ 72℉ turned her pot and shot a few pictures of her. 10/6- Today I watered her with 1.5g of her usual straight de-chlorinated water that's ph'd to 6.5 @ 72℉ and turned her pot. She's definitely starting to fade, is still stacking her flowers, bulking up and has an incredible amount of trichomes which I'm beginning to monitor daily. 10/8- The routine of watering every other day continues like clockwork. Yesterday was a 'no water' day and I did a basic check over of the plant, removed a couple of yellowed lower leaves and turned her pot. Today she got the usual 1.5g of straight de-chlorinated water that's ph'd to 6.5 @ 72℉ and had her pot turned. I've also begun to check her trichome development with a digital USB microscope to try to identify the ideal harvest time which will be in the next week +/-. 10/10- Well, Week Eight has come, gone and has been a trial once again of my patience! She's so freaking frosty that I've wanted to chop her several times but, I know from experience, good things come to those who wait... then wait a bit more. I anticipate that she'll be ready by the end of this coming week, and I can't wait! I've cut the wattage back on the HLG 650R to 500w at the wall now to simulate the way that sunshine becomes weaker as fall approaches due to the lower angle of the sun in the sky. This helps outdoor plants to know that winters on the way and they need to hurry up and complete their life cycle. Cutting the wattage back creates the same effect on the indoor plants, especially when coupled with lowered temperatures in the tent. I have also noticed that her water uptake has slowed. After her heavy watering on the 8th, her pot still had some weight to it and she was looking great so I went ahead and skipped watering her today, watering her tomorrow at lights on with her usual. 3rd week of Flowering is over and the stretching stopped. She received a big defoliation and bottom half is lollipoped. She just enjoys life and keeps growing her buds. Frosting slightly started.

Organic, I'm on day ~55, but the flash photo was taken on day 50. I've had some problems, but it's looking like they'll hold out until fully ripe. Trichs are starting to look cloudy, but new pistils are still forming aggressively. I'll try for 1 more week. Lower nugs are taking their time to finish.

8/6/21: Harvest Day!! We'll update the week to "harvest" once everything is dried..My camera scope broke somehow so we're back to using cheap jewelers loupes for now but trichs look completely milky, a few amber spots closer the bud's base, we didn't flush as long as we wanted but I felt it was good to get her chopped down before the heatwave and space is becoming a real issue again... we dry in cardboard boxes, in a room controlled to 65F...we don't usually get bud weights, as its all for personal use but ill try my hardest to get an accurate dry weight before my husband smokes it all lol...Thank you for reading and happy growing everyone! 😽❤️💡🌱
