After experimenting with various brands of nutrient formulations and concentrations.. the plant is showing improved health. The root zone has become too dense for consistent flood levels even with the same number of seconds for the pump ON cycle. The solution is now fed through the pipe which is reduced to the smaller feeder line to fill the nutrient solution at at the top of the container which is gravity fed back into the reservoir. The original air stone is used to prevent the roots escaping the container and entering into the nutrient tank solution. The only way to remove the roots is to let them dry out and shrink enough for easy withdrawal from the container. The video shows very slow drainage due to the barbed pipe attachement beging submerged below the top of the nutrient level. It was removed to facilitate quicker drainage. I just noticed that I swore in the video as I was still playing with the timer ON setting and had to quickly unplug the electricity manually in order avoid an overflow... 😂

Seedsman Auto Sour Diesel Haze coming up!!!👍 I love the Sour Diesel strain so I'm really looking forward to this one. Also, the Seedsman Auto Lemon I just harvested was very impressive. I'm going to go lighter on the training from now on because I want to be done by end of May/early June. My grow is in the attic and its gets crazy hot there in the summer, even in VT. My Perpetual Harvest strategy…. Originally my plan was to start 2 seeds each month, but had some seeds from one breeder that did not germinate early in my rotation. Ultimately, this caused single seeds to pop and messed up my 2 at a time plans. But, that seemed to work out OK, because now I think starting one seed every 3 weeks is a better strategy. This should provide me with 4-5 plants at a time, instead of 6. However… Since I need to shut down over the summer because my tent is currently in the attic, I’m starting 2 seeds at at time for the last couple of rounds. Plants get fed once weekly on weekends. Seedlings get water only. Plants in vegetation get water and Recharge. Flowering plants get water, Recharge or Big Bloom (Fox Farm). Feeding is done using 2 gallon watering can. Any additional waterings during the week are given on an as needed basis per plant. I lift the plants to help determine which plants are more dry (lighter) and provide water any plants via water bottles and watering spikes. I give each pot a quarter turn every day in an effort to make sure the plants get equal lighting from all sides. I rotate the plant in place by turning the pot 90 degrees (I am not rearranging the layout of the plants in the tent on a daily basis). The soil is an ‘organic super soil’ I mixed myself using organic top soil, organic potting soil, organic compost, organic peat moss, organic perlite, organic vermiculite, lime, epsom salt, expanded clay pellets and Jobe’s organic fast start. I am also recycling my soil and water with Recharge when using recycled soil. For plant training I have tried a variety of things, but my plans now are to do LST bending only, no HST anymore. I may decide to go back to HST again in the future, but I’m curious to compare LST training only to see how that goes. Around 3 week I'll do a FIM cut/pinch once there are 4-5 nodes established. And some defoliation around the 3rd week of flowering. I have been doing HST bending and having good results, but think the HST may be causing the plants to take longer to harvest. I hope LST only will help increase harvests while getting me to harvest sooner. The Afghani x Mac1 auto from DNA recovered well from the training and is in full bloom. Bud sites are looking great. Had an issue with humidity this week and the leaves started looking rough. She got a dose of Recharge this week and drinks about 8-12oz of water throughout each day. All in all she's trucking right along. Very happy with how smooth this solo cup grow is going.

First day of flower 8/4/24. I defoliated, and set up a net to help buds to hold up and create an even canopy.

Have been folial feeding with 1/4 strenght nutes and cal mend to treat deficiencies. Did a resevoir change Feb 14. Added 2.5 ml per gallon each of Floragro, Floramicro, and Florabloom. 10 ml per gallon calmag. 8 ml per gallon B-52 and 1/2 tsp RAW microbes. pH balanced to 5.63. 24 hours after Reservoir change pH was at 6.3 and there was some brown residue on the roots. I ph balanced back down to 5.6 and rinsed off the roots gently in the reservoir. Is the Brown Gunk nutrient build up on the roots?
