Cherry Limeade von Doja – Wochenupdate 🌱 Bei der Cherry Limeade geht es langsam in die Endphase der Blüte. Die ersten Blätter beginnen bereits, herbstliche Farben zu entwickeln 🍂, während die Buds weiterhin ordentlich Harz produzieren und sehr klebrig sind 🌸. Insgesamt bin ich mit der Entwicklung der Blüten weiterhin zufrieden, allerdings gibt es aktuell einen Punkt, der mich etwas nervt: Die Buds bilden zunehmend Foxtails aus. Ich vermute, dass die dafür verantwortlichen hohen Temperaturen zumindest teilweise eine Rolle spielen 🌡️. Besonders der Hydrone 5 von AC Infinity entwickelt im Betrieb deutlich Wärme. Der VPD wird zwar durch den KI-Controller und den Hydrone 5 insgesamt sehr gut geregelt, aber genau hier liegt meiner Meinung nach eine Schwäche des Systems. Bei der Produkteinführung wurde aus meiner Sicht nicht ausreichend kommuniziert, wie viel zusätzliche Wärme der Entfeuchter unter bestimmten Bedingungen in das Zelt einträgt. AC Infinity hat die Produktbeschreibung mittlerweile entsprechend angepasst, als ich das Gerät gekauft habe, war das allerdings noch nicht so kommuniziert. Das ärgert mich ehrlich gesagt etwas. Wenn die Außenluft eine hohe relative Luftfeuchtigkeit mitbringt, muss der Hydrone 5 entsprechend viel arbeiten. Trotz der Regelung über den Ablüfter können dann im Zelt durchaus Temperaturen von etwa 29 °C entstehen, weil die vom Entfeuchter erzeugte Wärme die Kühlung über die Abluft teilweise wieder zunichtemacht. Als alleinige Entfeuchtungslösung sehe ich den Hydrone 5 deshalb inzwischen eher als Winterlösung. Wenn die Außentemperaturen niedrig sind, sind hohe Temperaturen und hohe RLF normalerweise ohnehin weniger problematisch. Schimmel muss ich mir unter den aktuellen Bedingungen zwar keine großen Sorgen machen, aber Foxtailing in der Endblüte möchte ich natürlich trotzdem möglichst vermeiden 😅. Deshalb werde ich die Lichtintensität in den nächsten Tagen von 900 auf etwa 800 PPFD reduzieren und beobachten, wie sich die Buds entwickeln 💡. Vielleicht lässt sich damit etwas Druck aus dem System nehmen. Beim Aroma bin ich inzwischen ebenfalls etwas enttäuscht. Ein echtes Kirscharoma hat sich leider weiterhin nicht entwickelt 🍒. Die Buds sind zwar extrem klebrig, aber verglichen mit meiner Mentha de Croco haut mich das Aroma bisher nicht wirklich um. Aktuell wirkt das Terpenprofil insgesamt etwas schwach. Ob das tatsächlich genetisch bedingt ist oder die hohen Temperaturen einen Teil des Aromas beeinträchtigen, möchte ich noch nicht abschließend beurteilen. Ich warte deshalb definitiv bis zum Ende der Blüte und nach der Trocknung und Reifung mit meinem endgültigen Fazit 🧐. Vielleicht passiert in den letzten Wochen noch einiges – gerade beim Aroma kann sich bis zum Schluss noch etwas verändern. 📊 Aktuelle Parameter: 💡 Licht: 900 PPFD / DLI 39 → künftig ca. 800 PPFD 🌡️ Temperatur: 25 °C zeitweise bis ca. 29 °C 💧 Luftfeuchtigkeit: 54% durch Hydrone 5 geregelt 📈 VPD: 1,4 kPa durch KI-Controller/Hydrone 5 stabil geregelt 🌿 CO₂: Ø 700 ppm 💦 Wasserverbrauch: ca. 1,92 l/Tag Cherry Limeade – Weekly Update 🌱 The Cherry Limeade is slowly entering the final stage of flowering. The first leaves are already starting to show some autumn-like colors 🍂, while the buds continue to produce plenty of resin and are extremely sticky 🌸. Overall, I’m still happy with the development of the flowers, but there is one thing that is starting to annoy me a little: the buds are increasingly developing foxtails. I suspect that the high temperatures are at least partly responsible for this 🌡️. The Hydrone 5 from AC Infinity generates a noticeable amount of heat while running. The VPD itself is actually being controlled very well by the AI controller and the Hydrone 5, but this is also where I see a weakness in the system. When the product was originally launched, I don’t think AC Infinity communicated clearly enough how much additional heat the dehumidifier can add to the tent under certain conditions. AC Infinity has since updated the product description accordingly, but this was not communicated that way when I purchased the unit. Honestly, that does annoy me a little. When the outdoor air has a high relative humidity, the Hydrone 5 has to work harder. Even with the exhaust fan being controlled accordingly, I can still see temperatures of around 29 °C inside the tent because the heat generated by the dehumidifier partly offsets the cooling effect of the exhaust 🌡️. For this reason, I now see the Hydrone 5 as more of a winter solution when used as the sole dehumidification method. During winter, lower ambient temperatures make the additional heat much less of an issue. I’m not particularly worried about mold under the current conditions, but foxtailing during late flower is obviously not something I want to encourage 😅. So over the next few days I’ll reduce the light intensity from 900 to around 800 PPFD and see how the buds respond 💡. Hopefully this will take some stress out of the system. I’m also a little disappointed with the aroma at this point. Unfortunately, no real cherry aroma has developed so far 🍒. The buds are extremely sticky, but compared with my Mentha de Croco, the aroma isn’t really blowing me away. Overall, the terpene profile currently seems a little weak. Whether this is mainly genetic or whether the high temperatures are suppressing some of the aroma is something I don’t want to judge conclusively yet. I’ll definitely wait until the end of flowering, and preferably until after drying and curing, before making my final assessment 🧐. 8/11 -As the trends been this grow--both plants have responded very well to waterings. Im watering every other day allowing the substrate to dry out a little bit which encourages really good root growth. -I looked back to my previous grow diary to compare this grow to last at week 6 and oh boy am I blowing my old grow out of the water. Learning is a wonderful thing. -Stilts I put Cheese on seem to be working very well. Im starting to see a stretch on Cheese! Going to do some more LST to further even out the canopy. -Cream Cookies is really filling out and its undergrowth is really growing well. It's also starting to develop a strong odor! Awesome! A little bit about the nutrients: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE NUTRIENTS! Not for the pH perfect technology but for how easy it is to feed my babies with these nutrients. I used to use General Hydroponics flour duo (micro and bloom) and that was such a huge pain in the ass to mix solutions. Every week would be a different ratio of both Micro and Bloom. Super confusing and really easy to screw up. This Sensi line from advanced nutrients is insanely easy. You just add an equal amount of both Grow/Bloom A+B in a specific concentration and that's it. All the necessary nutrients that the plant needs will be available for it if it needs it. It also doesn't burn my plants at all. At the beginning of my grow I was thinking of buying an TDS meter to tune the concentration of my nutrient solution. As a chemist, I felt I didn't need this as I can do the math and calculate TDS based on the species present in the concentrated nutrient solution--I never had to do this. Ive found that the best concentration to feed is around 13 mL/gal. Anything more is just too concentrated and my plants did not like it. SUPER HAPPY WITH THIS NUTRIENT LINE. LIFETIME CUSTOMER NOW. 8/14 -Both plants doing extremely well still with no issues. No Ca/Mg deficiency spots observed on any more leaves. -Canopy is getting quite thick once again-going to do defoliation this week. -Both plants are stretching like crazy--probably going to lower Cheese to encourage more of a stretch. -LST worked wonders evening out the canopy. -Cream Cookies is starting to really smell! -Going to sprout 2 more cream cookies plants this week with the hope to keep plants in a flowering rotation. The hope is to always have flowering plants under the lamp! 8/15 -Did some defoliation to create some breaks in both canopies to allow for some light to penetrate to the lower leaves -Original fan leaves started wilting and turning yellow so I trimmed them. -Trimmed lower fan leaves on Cheese: they were so big that they were blocking a huge amount of light to the newer growth. Id rather light hit the new growth than the old growth. -The differences in both plants are starting to show. There is a little satire (~30%) in Cream cookies and you can see it in the fan leaves. They just aren't as fat as cheese. Cheese fan leaves are so short and fat its really cool. Cheese is also growing a little bit shorter than cream cookies. -Makes sense since Cheese is a heavy indica auto flower while cream cookies is a indica dominant hybrid. 8/16 -Boy are both plants stretching. Lamp raised from 15 to 18 inches. -Flowering is in full swing for both plants. -Every other feeding cycle is going very well. Going to increase to 600mL next feeding. Curious to see how they'll respond. 8/17 -My last grow has all sorts of issues so I think its kind of comical that all of my entries this grow are about how nice the grow is going day by day. Really is awesome seeing the things you learn over time come to fruition. -Have three weeks of time lapse video, when you speed it up 8 times you can really see the explosive "stretching." it happens almost so quickly that it looks like the video skipped forward in time. Cant wait to post the final time lapse video at the end of the grow!

11 Noviembre: Primer riego con 2.5EC y 5.9pH, runoff de 2.9EC y 6.2pH, en una semana más ya deberían estar recibiendo 3.0EC y seguir con esa concentración por todo el cultivo. Alturas están entre 15cm y 20cm. 13 Noviembre: Riego 2.5EC y 5.9pH, runoff de 3.3EC y 6.2pH. Hoy se removieron los primeros nodos de cada planta y se les hizo poda apical. 14 Noviembre: Riego 2.5EC y 5.9pH, runoff de 3.3EC y 6.2pH en la mañana. En la tarde se realizó transplante a maceteros definitivos de 5 litros con 4 litros de sustrato aprox. el cual fue pre cargado hasta la capacidad de campo, con 3.0EC y 5.8pH, desde este punto se debe esperar un par de días hasta que el dryback(secado) del sustrato sea de un 35-40%, lo cual vendría siendo el primer P3 del cultivo, una vez se alcance ese porcentaje de secado, se comenzará con los primeros riegos de precisión llamados P1.

Last week of flowering and will be cut !!! Very well formed by dense heads along the branches. I just cut one top of the plant and it gave very good results! I smell the fruit! I have made some flush due to nutrients that i gave during flowering...💪

Just a little pruning done on the girls and they just keep on surprising me @Kannabia as you can see one split at the 3rd node and again at the 5th one just decided at the start that she wants 3main head's and the other is getting nice a tall

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. 5/7 Week 3! This is our first CBD Crack grown in coco and she is showing wonderful color, form, and size for only 14 days up. Very happy with this so far even if the delay does present some issues. She just so pretty! 5/9 She is just exploding, a full inch of height and girth in one day. No hairs yet, increasing nuets tomorrow 20%. 5/10 Nuets increased Raised her base up to get better light, think she has fully acclimated by now. 5/11 She has grown another node and another inch in one day! The reward for what we did yesterday, she wanted more light and nuets. Will leave things as they are for now. 5/12 Just call her "Inch a Day" a that is her growth rate. Training her today, Pony Tailing LST First hairs visible so folding in a light dose of Bloom 5/13 10 inches wow First cycle of pony tailing was productive though she still tacked on over an inch in 24 hrs. Secondary growth tips grew a lot during the process and expect tonight to be even more productive. Node spacing is about one inch so perfect now
