Had a pretty serious gnat infestation this week. I noticed some movement in the runoff water after feeding. After taking video I made a 2:1 water to peroxide mixture to spray down the bucket and into the overflow trays of both plants in the tent. I also added a gnat traps and a low tent to help dry the soil and prevent gnats from hanging out there.

So, with these interesting times and what is becoming a fast evolving global catastrophe. I, myself, along with the rest of you ( I hope ) can take some solace in looking after our gardens, to have some peace away from the news, to give our ladies the best care we are able to provide 🌱 If you ever needed any vindication or validation as to why growing your own is best. More than half the world currently in lockdown, and with MJ in short supply, our actions speak for themselves! Anyway, back to this diary. I done a lot of work on the room, invested a lot and tried to make everything as automated as possible. Everything runs on smart plugs, the hydroponic system is DIY and is RDWC which is cooled with a Hailea 150a. 6 plants is what I am going for this time, with a shorter veg length compared to the last grow. I prefer to wait until they show their sex, but if they don’t by week 5, I plan on flipping anyway all being well. I am using 730nm LED’s that come on 15 mins before lights on, turn off during lights on, and then they come back on when lights go out, and stay on for 15 mins. This should enable me to run 13/11 during flower with little risk. I am also going to add a UVB fixture to my custom rig which will only be used during the final 2 weeks of flower. I have 3 Alibaba lights attached to a custom rig, they really are awesome lights. I tested the room out with an Apogee SQ-520 par meter (PAR map in pics). I have dimmed them down, so PAR is around 500 across the whole canopy, this will be increased to 1000 once they’re flipped. I vent from my house, to the room and then outside, this increases the CO2 in the room, which I think helped the yields on the last grow, generally CO2 hovers between 470 and 700 PPM. My ladies look a little sick, but tbh, I struggle starting out in Rockwool, and things usually correct themselves within a couple weeks. With the quarantine I have struggled to pick up a humidifier that is capable of maintaining that room, so it has been all over the place since the start. I have opted to go with Royal Gorilla this cycle, let’s see if it’s as potent as RQS says that it is! Good luck all and take care...

Okay. So she stopped packing on weight right after her first real weight gain. Bad salt build up within the soil, ph off from 6.2 to 7.2 run off. Going to add recharge or some compost tea on next grow to help with that. Also, I think I could have gotten away with giving less nutrients. She smells amazing. Smells like trash from a far but as soon as you touch her, her aroma opens up to the fruitiest scent I have ever smelled! Another odd thing which might have to do with genetics. Many of the buds are hanging off to the right side of the stem. Like they have grown to one side of the stem and look like they are about to fall off. Mayne this had something to do with her not getting much bigger than she has? See last few photos and video. About a week or two left. Last feed a few days ago. Water from here on out.

To manage, we’re running the grow during night cycles, where we can keep the environment steadier. Even with heat challenges, the girls are handling it like queens — strong stems, thick stalks, and buds forming beautifully from top to bottom. 🌿 Feeding & Support Our current recipe remains the Aptus + Plagron combo: • Aptus Regulator, CalMag Boost • Plagron Power Buds, Sugar Royal & Green Sensation Together, they’re forming the symphony of this bloom — supporting cell structure, enhancing terpene expression, and encouraging thick resin development. One of the top buds was removed this week — not out of sadness, but as a precaution and an act of love. It was massive, too dense, and could’ve invited humidity trouble again. My Northern Lights #10 plant is an absolute beast! It's the biggest one in the tent, and it's branching out like crazy. The stems are thick and strong, and it just looks super healthy overall. You can definitely see the classic Northern Lights genetics in its growth pattern – it's a vigorous and sturdy strain. I'm excited to see how big this one gets! The weather has been absolutely gorgeous this past week! We've been hitting that sweet spot of 70 degrees during the day, perfect for getting outside and soaking up some sun. Then, it cools down to a comfy 50 degrees at night, which is ideal for sleeping with the windows open. I've been loving all the fresh air! I finally got around to building that little wooden planter for my windowsill. It was a fun project, and now my regular plants have a nice new home. It really brightens up the room, and I'm thinking of adding some herbs to it soon. Maybe I'll even try growing some basil!

Day 36: I bend the branches even more, cut off the top leaf that covered 2 buds, one of them is very small, I hope to give it at least a little chance to grow. This is a victim of a broken branch.

18 weeks from seed to harvest. Love 34 street seeds, quality genetics for a fair price. These garlic cookies showed no disease or pest issues, no mold or powdery mildew. Easy enough to grow, no surprises, no super stretch in flower, but I would recommend training or SCROG to control them. Pungent Pine is what I am callling this smell, over 800 grams wet weight. They are hanging to dry in my tent as I write this, 60 %RH and about 71 degrees of freedom units! Can’t wait to try it out 🇨🇦❤️🌱😎💨

Lefty was dropped during veg that explains why she looks a few days behind the other i damaged a high fan leaf in about week 5 of veg and now I know what effect it has so not to do it again! Started on pk13 two days ago just a video update for now 😋

The climate in december / january is very hot and wet in my region. Temperature above 32°C and RH between 60/75%. Flowers have almost no smell. I think this weather is the cause of terpenes degradation.
