Starting week 4 and everything is looking good, buds are forming now time for them to fatten up. There is trichrome coverage starting around the budsites and on some fan leaves. The plants are starting to put off that pungent gg4 smell with earthy undertones. I did a pretty aggressive defoliation on day 21 (11/9/18) and cleaned up the lowers with a light lollipopping. The plants stretched more than I wanted so I may have to add 1 more layer of trellis it just depends if they can hold themselves up once they start putting on the weight going to have to wait and see. The plants seem to look happy and are moving right along. Thanks for looking and happy growing!

Donna Jo is still being watered; -Tuesday with full gp3 (green plant 3 part) plus Cali mag by General hydro PhD to 6.2 roughly 2 litres - Thursday get PhD Cali mag water and Only 1 litre at most. Try not to water Thursday unless she is to dry to make it to Friday -Friday full gp3/ Cali mag PhD 2-3 litres -Sunday full gp3/Cali mag PhD 2-3 litre -Monday/Wednesday/Saturday no water. This week had a pretty major change not just in flower production, but also decided to change tent set up as well. Changes to the tent included ditching the 600w led and the 2x 2000w garbage led lights (i call bs on manufacturer saying they are 2k) These 3 lights are now out and we have stepped up to cmh 315w. Should have bought this cmh 315 right off the hop and not spent the money on led. Now going to cmh the tent run way hotter and has required other upgrades to keep from overheating. The duct system was dual t4 cloudlines running one in and one out off the same control module has now been changed to a T6 cloudline exhausting with a t4 feeding cool/fresh air. Tent jumped 9 degrees with cmh 315 so had to also add the overheat back up plan. Put a 6” inline duct (can fan pushing extra 200 cfm) along the exhaust line closer to window exhaust point which is plugged into an ink bird plug and play thermostat set to 82. This just helps the T6 do a better job with less noise. With these changes I feel way more confident of yielding a higher gram/plant ratio. I believe if you look at last weeks pictures and compare to this weeks you will probably agree with me. You decide .......😀

She is much prettier than she was a week ago :) I remembered that I have my first grow light, which is more compact and it will give me more space, so I changed my light, now the girl's side branches get light too:) I add a lot of video memes, because I really want to win Iphone16 pro ;) and those who don't take risks don't drink champagne:) good luck to everyone.

This strain was an absolute gem to grow. Had no issues along the way and probably my biggest yield to date.

Changed solution and they all look healthy.💉🌊 Even managed to get the runt into a bucket. 🌱 Gonna cut some lower growth into clones before the weeks end. ✂️😊

The Hobbit Hole Outdoor Grow 2026 – Woche 8 Eine weitere Woche ist vorbei und das Hobbit Hole entwickelt sich genau so, wie ich es mir erhofft hatte. Die drei Ladies haben sich weiter unterschiedlich entwickelt und inzwischen erkennt man ihre individuellen Eigenschaften immer deutlicher. Gelato bleibt weiterhin die Spitzenreiterin. Sie war von Anfang an die größte Pflanze und verteidigt diesen Vorsprung bis heute. Die Hauptcola wird von Woche zu Woche kräftiger und ist mittlerweile komplett mit Harz überzogen. Auch die Seitenblüten legen sichtbar an Volumen zu. Sie wirkt insgesamt am weitesten entwickelt und scheint ihren Vorsprung auch in der Blüte beizubehalten. Cinderella bleibt ihr aber dicht auf den Fersen. Was ihr vielleicht noch minimal an Blütengröße fehlt, macht sie mit einer beeindruckenden Harzproduktion wett. Die Zuckerblätter glitzern inzwischen schon ordentlich in der Sonne und jedes neue Makrofoto macht einfach Spaß. Genau diese frostige Optik hatte ich mir von ihr erhofft. Purple Punch war anfangs etwas zurückhaltender, holt inzwischen aber Woche für Woche auf. Die Buds werden kompakter und man sieht deutlich, dass sie langsam Fahrt aufnimmt. Ich bin gespannt, ob sie in den nächsten Wochen noch einmal richtig zulegt. Die ersten Blätter im unteren Bereich beginnen nun langsam gelb zu werden. Für diesen Blütestand ist das völlig normal und zeigt, dass die Pflanzen langsam auf ihre Reserven zurückgreifen. Insgesamt sehen alle drei weiterhin gesund aus. Das Hobbit Hole entwickelt sich langsam genau zu dem kleinen Waldparadies, das ich mir vorgestellt habe. Zwischen Brombeeren, Hasel und den vielen Wildpflanzen wirkt alles unglaublich natürlich. Besonders morgens und abends entstehen dort mit dem Sonnenlicht richtig schöne Motive – einige meiner Lieblingsbilder stammen mittlerweile von diesem Platz. Ich freue mich jetzt besonders auf die nächsten Wochen. Die Blüten beginnen sichtbar anzuschwellen und das Harz nimmt jeden Tag weiter zu. The three ladies are showing more and more of their individual personalities. Gelato is still leading the pack. She has been the biggest plant from the very beginning and continues to hold that position. Her main cola is getting thicker every week and is already covered in a beautiful layer of resin. The side buds are filling out nicely as well, making her the most advanced plant at this stage. Cinderella is right behind her. While her buds are still slightly smaller, she makes up for it with incredible frost production. The sugar leaves are sparkling in the sunlight and every new macro photo is a pleasure to take. This is exactly the kind of resin-covered beauty I was hoping for. Purple Punch had a slower start but is catching up week by week. Her buds are becoming denser and she finally seems to be gaining momentum. I’m really curious to see how much she will bulk up over the coming weeks. The first lower fan leaves are slowly starting to fade, which is completely normal at this stage of flowering as the plants begin using their stored nutrients. Overall, all three ladies still look healthy and vigorous. The Hobbit Hole is slowly turning into the little woodland paradise I imagined. Surrounded by blackberry bushes, hazel trees and wild vegetation, everything blends naturally into the landscape. Especially during sunrise and sunset, the light creates an amazing atmosphere, and some of my favorite photos so far have been taken right here. I’m really looking forward to the coming weeks. The buds are swelling more every day, the resin production keeps increasing, and if everything continues like this, the final stretch is going to be very exciting. 🌱 See you next week!

She is growing healthy and strong. I turned her around a little bit, because they start moving around and I read that is good for them. I hope the pictures can show how fast she is growing. :)

Smaller phenos are swelling up a bit but hella unhappy, not really worried about them, just gonna turn them into rosin. The washing machine plant looks and smells amazing and is loving the feed, and that's the only plant that I'm really fine tuning for, just schedule changes on the rest of them. Last week of full nutes before switching to just VegPlusBloom Shine only pH'd solution. Gonna let them get a good amber going before chop and let the clones get ready to pop right into flower

Last week of veg for this round, next Monday they will start 12/12 in the flower room and get stripped. Watering daily and they are growing fast and looking great, can't wait to see how flower goes for these ladies.

This week they are all just putting on some weight still a few weeks left to go. Pics were taken on Monday video on Tuesday. The aromas are pretty strong in the tent in general. Shes a struggler but it's too late to turn back now just gunna let it finish.

She has established a thick central stem with evenly spaced internodes, while the lateral branches are already beginning to push outward, creating the framework for what should become a very productive canopy. Her leaves display a rich, healthy green with excellent turgor, showing that nutrition and irrigation remain well balanced. New growth is arriving rapidly and with good symmetry, suggesting that she has fully settled into her container and is now directing her energy toward vigorous structural development. Compared to many plants grown under the 12/12 From Seed method, she is maintaining a compact architecture while still producing enough internodal spacing to ensure future flower sites receive adequate light penetration. ⸻ 📷 This Week Behind the Lens This week’s photographs really highlight the quality of her structure. The side profiles reveal a strong main stem with excellent node stacking, while the overhead shots showcase an increasingly symmetrical canopy. The macro images capture healthy new growth emerging from every node, giving an excellent preview of the flowering sites that are beginning to form. One of my favorite photos is the overhead shot where the plant resembles a perfectly balanced green star, each fan leaf extending naturally without competing for space. These are exactly the kinds of structural characteristics I enjoy documenting during early development because they often hint at the final architecture of the mature plant. ⸻ 🌿 Looking Ahead As she enters the coming week, I expect Plant A to begin transitioning fully into her stretch phase. The secondary branches should accelerate noticeably, gradually transforming the compact vegetative structure into a canopy filled with evenly distributed flowering sites. If she continues at this pace, she has every opportunity to become one of the standout Black Diamond phenotypes within the project. For now, the objective remains simple: maintain stable environmental conditions, continue the current feeding schedule, and let her natural genetics guide the process. Growers Love and as always, patience is part of the process… and this lady is definitely making me curious about what’s coming next. 💚

5.23 F60 5.27 F65 - Everything has been going well this week. The plants went through a feed cycle that should carry them through flower no problemo. Started with the AACT Tea, then a bokashi drench with Fish Shit from Fishheadfarms and plain water from here on out. They are drinking quite a bit. 1.5-2 gallons a plant every 3ish days. The terps in my tents smell out of this world. The ScrOG and 3x3 are like a candy store. Passion Berry has mango/guava citrus terps while Deadstar v2 has strawberry watermelon terps. The 4x5 is much more varied, but in general the sweet pink dominates with it's grape candy terps and the dread bread cuts through with it stanky gassy lemon while the prayer pupil smells like moth balls and a bit of GMO. Very lucky to get to experience this much variety. 5.29 F67

6/8 Haven't had to water yet (besides the two tens and I should've held off). It's an overcast day. Perfect for the plants. I've noticed more off shoots of 3 pronged leaves so a few plants will reveg but thats fine. I'm happy with how things are going thus far. These are certainly very resilient strains. I've done some SLIGHT LSTing. EDIT: IT'S BEEN A NICE DAY TODAY. A LITTLE OVERCAST BUT SUNNY AT TIMES. PERFECT WEATHER FOR THE GIRLS. THEY ARE LOVING IT OUT THERE! 6/9 And the girls are lookin' Fiiiiiine. In all seriousness everything is doing pretty good. Even that overwatered pink kush runt in the 10gal is coming out of its little funk. Some of my FIM's turned out amazing! With the reveg of some of these I'll definately have my hands full. Very grateful for smart pots and well draining soil! We've gotten some harsh rain but the girls all seem fine. It's the wind today that's a little worrisome. I may stop over later. I COULD put up tarps around the cage as wind blocks (and have before in the past) but it increases the humidity of an already extremely humid day. These girls are strong. I'm sure they'll be fine. I've found that the tarps typically hurt worse than they help. 6/10 56° at 9am. Shook the plants off. Medium wasn't soaked though. Luckily we had some wind. It's not raining now but it's going to have showers for half the day. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 80's and sunshine so if that comes through things might workout alright. I still haven't had to water this year besides that one gallon on the tens. If I do something I'll update. I'm considering light stepping the two pink kush's in the 10's. I'll need to do more research. 6/11 BEAUTIFUL DAY! Windy too which helped dry the grow bags. Plants are growing at a rapid rate. I've yet to have to water. A few more days like this and I'll have too. It was in the 80's and is still 75 at 5:30. Bags still have heft to them and I can still feel moisture. They got tons of rain. I'll keep an eye on them. Thus far I'm pleasantly surprised (knock on wood). 6/12 Everything looked great this morning. It's a little overcast and 69° @ 8:45. I mixed water planning on watering but decided against it due to the weight I was feeling. My wife said it rained hard last night for a little while but the topsoil was dry. The medium looks dry but there is still some weight. I'll be back over later and I'll check things out. Overall plants have made a great transition even in this bi-polar weather extravaganza.

Last defoliation before flipping. Next defoliation planned for day 13, 25 and 35 in flower. She built a dense “sea” of tops through LST—everything is spread out evenly and reacting exactly how I want. Super nice structure overall. Really impressed by her thick stem and how well she handles the training. She’s very thirsty and takes the Advanced Nutrients like a champ.

The harvest of my dear Stella was supposed to happen on August 4th, but didn’t begin actually until August 9th. I decided to allow her to dry out a bit before beginning the harvest, but I had some other difficulties which made her dry out a whole lot before I ever even got started. You can tell how dry by looking at the pics and video. Luckily, the dryness was limited to her larger leaves. She was already quite dry on the 9th when I started, and was more so by the 12th when I finished. Even after the advanced drying, her wet trimmed weight was still quite a bit. I’ll list the weights all together in a bit. It took 4 days to get the whole plant trimmed, weighed, and hung up for final drying. She was hung up from August 12th till Friday, August 19th. I got busy harvesting another plant while she was hanging up, and just let her be. On August 19th I took all of her branches down and removed the buds to get the true harvest weight of her buds alone. Let’s get to the weight of the whole thing. The overall wet-trimmed weight of the plant was 18.329 ounces with the buds and branches combined. I was a forgetful idiot and forgot to get the weight of the dry buds on the branches before removing the buds. So all we’re left with is the actual harvest weight of the dry buds alone. The overall dry bud weight, or actual “true” harvest weight of the smokable bud is: 7.317 ounces. That’s a wonderful amount of freshly harvested bud to cure. All of the buds were put into 8 quart sized jars filled roughly 3/4 full, and 1 pint sized jar, also 3/4 full. Each jar has a hygrometer as well as 58% bóveda packs to help aid the curing process. This is the 2nd DarkStar plant I’ve harvested, and both were very large plants. I used a scrog method the first time with a net that spread the whole plant out taking up the entire 4x4 area of the tent. This time I wanted to let her grow more naturally. She got so large that I had to bend almost all of her taller branches over using HST methods. I had to bend 3-5 branches over more than once. By doing that, once her buds began to fatten up she got too heavy and needed to be supported just to stand upright. Toward the end she had to literally be tied up to the side of the tent. Stella (DarkStar) was a wonder to grow, and she gave me a good amount of clones that will soon be harvested themselves. It has been a journey with Stella, and I’m happy that the journey is now complete. Happy growing everyone!

Esta semana hubo un crecimiento muy acelerado. Estoy manejando la altura de las plantas con HST y corte, esperando a una nueva que agregué, para que empiece a estirarse. Cuando tenga la altura de las otras plantas, paso todo a floración. Estuve cortando los bajos de algunas plantas. Otras las estoy dejando crecer un poco para hacer nuevos esquejes. La solución se mantienen las mismas proporciones. Voy a ir actualizando la semana con fotos diarias, para tener una referencia del crecimiento. Día 16. El crecimiento es increíblemente rápido. Estoy aplicando cortes y super cropping porque quiero lograr plantas bien fuertes y bajas. Además quiero aprovechar la superficie de cultivo lo mejor posible. Por lo que voy a hacer varias cabezas por planta, y voy a intentar darles bastante crecimiento para que den más producción. Iré actualizando. Día 19. Se aplica bioestimulante Aux ym foliar. 2ml/l. Ya preparando para pasar a flora en 10 días. Prendí una de las luces laterales par darle más luz a la pequeña Jamaican Dream de prueba que hay en la punta. Día 20. Mañana se cambia la solución. Las plantas estan creciendo mucho. Voy guiando algunas ramas para que queden todas a la misma altura. La pequeña tiene toda esta semana para pegar el estirón final antes de pasar a flora. Confío en que va a llegar porque es sativa 90% a diferencia de sus vecinas 80% indicas. De todos modos me voy a concentrar en las Green Tiger, ya que este diario está dedicado a ellas principalmente.
