I will give a small back story but the real story here will be told from the plants perspective thru music. The most fitting song for the week will be edited down to the most relevant part and I will keep it under 1 min the best I can. I want it to be fast moving and entertaining not long and stupid and irritating. So....this was a cut I was experimenting with cuz I didnt need it and may have even been trying to kill it just a little. I'll spare the longwinded story. Too cold, too dry, light burn, neglect, over watering, misdiagnosis, nutrient burn, unsalvageable material, scissors, 1 yellowing leaf with just a little bit of green left sparked my interest. Thus begins the legend of the 1 Leaf Wonder....

Gold Sativa has been growing good. Been focused on root pruning the last week. Something I should of been doing from the beginning. I increased her nutrition slightly. Likely 2 weeks till I change light schedule. Depending on how fast the roots recover. I am in no hurry really. I am growing her in a New Level Hydro bucket, under the Spider Farmer SE5000 light at 60 percent currently. Left tent is a week ahead. Fair amount of stretching this week. This time I’m paying close attention to keep flower sites high up. My experiment with bottom lighting did not went so great. I had a record yield but the quality was really bad in about 30-35% of flowers. Weak density. I’m definitely going to try again from the beginning but not this time. I have to pay attention to not let any plant get to big of a dryback in veg. It really influences the later stretching and make the plant too compact in sensitive cultivars.

Week completed, these girls are developing great, the flowers already smell wonderful and are very resinous... Looking forward to the next few weeks. Stay well! 💪🙏

Plants are very healthy, nice deep and dark green and good growth. Did some defoliation and Will turn the clock to 12 hours light and increase the lights to 70% 622 ppfd for the first 2 weeks of flowering.

Quasi giunti al termine, questa bellezza produce grappoli di cime dall'odore di grappoli d'uva fragola e una nota floreale alla lavanda, oltre ad avere un aspetto bellissimo con colorazioni violacee di fiori e tricomi, il caldo delle settimane passate le ha causato foxtailing che mi avrà fatto perdere qualche grammo, ma mi ha regalato cime dalla forma insolita a mio parere molto belle da vedere. Lei come le altre piante del ciclo sta bruciando i tempi e oggi al giorno 73 sono in procinto di tagliare non facendomi trarre in inganno dai pistilli bianchi usciti dai calici del foxtailing, se aspettassi che diventino bruni loro, la pianta che già ha un massiccio effetto narcotico di per sé diventerebbe troppo matura. Completamente innamorato della genetica opium di @DivineSeeds grazie mille! Al prossimo round andrò a coltivare la opium auto originale! manca solo lei e non c'è due senza tre!

Day 29 - 13/04-2024 - She is really looking good, she is not that high yet but she has really grown wide du to the LST, i am quite happy with the results so far. Watered 1,5l Day 32 - 13/04-2024 - Watered 2L.... i am really excited about my LST results so far and the lady is getting real thick 😍

Enjoying her progress over the last week. Lowered humidity today a tad to slightly increase vpd. Also lowered light a few inches and may do so again. Will keep it here until we progress in flowering. Expect to start LST this week. Will include plant and light height and distance details once I begin LST. Her sister, punch berry cookies, moved to flower tent. PoG will finish in veg tent, alone, as I’m shutting down for vacation in April. Video/photos taken 14 days after breaking soil.

I really feel like I am learning SO MUCH with this grow, heaps of things I could improve on next time. 😺 Day 28 - I fed her a 420ppm nutrient solution, and as I was watering her a fair bit got on her leaves. I shook it off her but a few drops on her lower fan leaves were stuck. So I grabbed the droplets with my finger and smeared them into the leaf. Big mistake, next day the leaves were all burnt! 😡😲 The upper fan leaves that I didn't touch were fine, the leaf tips were fine also. Day 30 - Plant really looking happy now, growing nicely and stretching up towards the light. The 4th set of fan leaves still 3 pronged (has grown cotyledons, then true leaves with 1, 3, 3 and 3 prongs). The 5th set of fan leaves is now visible as a bud in the center, and I can see that this set has 5 prongs. So was likely the stress that made the first sets of leaves 3 pronged. Day 30 - I really want the plant to be BUSHY to take advantage of this small light and surround it, so I decided to try FIMMING today! The middle bud was at the perfect age for this so took the opportunity, I hope she can handle it. Happy to sacrifice a bit of yield to get more buds closer to the light for a more consistent quality. If you think that yield is more important and I shouldn't do this, here is a fact for you, over the last 5 years I have gone through about 30g of bud with me and one friend, we have some about once a month or two. So yeah I don't care about yield just quality 👌. Day 34 - Female preflower showing! Shit this means she will be into bloom soon, and still so far behind where I wanted her. Researched on the interwebs and found that I could still have a good 2 weeks of fast vegetative growth at this point. I realised my last feed was only 1/3 strength fertilizer. Time to feed her a decent meal, GO STRONG OR GO HOME! I fed her 5L of pH 5.9, ppm = 775 - with 20ml of Canna Rapid combined A&B

Looks like they are okay and growing well. Cant wait to see them with big flowers in a few weeks.. Doesnt really looks like they are flowering yet.

🌱 GMO Cookies — Week 3 VEG Report (12/12 from seed | Autoflower behaving in sync with photoperiods) General Overview Week 3 of vegetative growth comes to a close with GMO Cookies performing exceptionally well. Just like the other autoflowers in the room, she continues to behave in a way that closely mirrors the photoperiod plants — steady, structured, and rhythmically aligned with the rest of the genetics in the tent. Despite the diversity of cultivars running side by side, all plants are maintaining very similar height, pace, and development, each expressing itself slightly differently but moving forward together. This consistency speaks volumes about both the genetics and the stability of the environment. Growth & Structure • Vegetative stage: Ongoing • Flowering signs: None observed • Node count: 6 nodes • Growth habit: Compact, controlled, well-balanced • Leaf expression: • Lush, deep green • Broad, healthy leaflets • Excellent turgor and texture Growth this week can only be described as spectacular. Internodal spacing remains tight, structure is clean, and the plant shows no signs of stress, deficiency, or imbalance. Autoflower vs Photoperiod Behavior Even though GMO Cookies is an autoflower and has been run 12/12 from seed, she continues to challenge expectations. At this point, it’s still difficult to clearly distinguish behavioral differences between autos and photoperiods in this room. Everything is moving: • At the same rhythm • At the same pace • Under the same conditions This reinforces an important observation: environmental consistency often outweighs genetic labels, especially early on. ⸻ 📸 Photo Session & Documentation This week, GMO Cookies was briefly removed for a dedicated photo session using an improvised studio setup. Photography setup highlights: • Sony A6700 camera • iPad used as a remote control and live viewer • Controlled backlighting for leaf detail and depth • Full camera control (aperture, ISO, settings) without touching the camera This approach eliminates camera shake and allows for precise adjustments on the fly — crucial for capturing clean, sharp images, especially when documenting fine leaf texture and color. Haven’t posted in a while it’s been 68 days since I’ve planted. Nearly at 10 weeks. Growing slower than I thought I would. The white hairs are growing just waiting for the buds to fatten up now!
