Research and purchase or build a “grow room controller” - tent: temp, rh, light(?), co2(?) — rez: ph, ec, temp, water level - maybe more stuff like tie in the cameras, also basement temp and rh, fan and lights and pump contro. Nutrient dosing and ph control would be awesome but likely too pricey— but I’m a geek and this will be fun! I’d prefer a prebuilt system but I’m not totally opposed to building an Arduino/pi style solution (reliability and time to get it right are concerns tho - plus I have an arcade cabinet project I’d like to get to soon) — **ANY THOUGHTS OR ADVICE ANYONE??? To do list: I picked up some angle aluminum and I plan to finally make a single frame for the numerous LED lights Mount things to the wall (temp and humidity sensors, timers, utility light, etc) General cleanup and house keeping - wire management etc Install new portable air conditioner in the basement - this will be a bit of a project - casement windows and other issues Hopefully this week: install a utility sink in the basement and tie into the water lines and waste lines of the house (no more carrying water and waste upstairs!!)

Gold Sativa has been growing good. Been focused on root pruning the last week. Something I should of been doing from the beginning. I increased her nutrition slightly. Likely 2 weeks till I change light schedule. Depending on how fast the roots recover. I am in no hurry really. I am growing her in a New Level Hydro bucket, under the Spider Farmer SE5000 light at 60 percent currently. Day 69 (March 6th) Just gave everyone their last watering. I’m going to harvest and wash everything tomorrow night on day 70. I‘m not going to do that whole 48 hours of darkness thing because I didn’t see a difference last time I did it. In fact, it made my plant under watered before drying which caused it to dry too fast. Slurricane and cheese will be washed with h2o2 and the rest will just be rinsed off in warm RO water and hung up. Before and after washing I’m going to go over each branch with a flashlight and make sure there is no dog hair or debris in or on the buds. I will be drying in my spare bathroom (that no one uses!) from hangers. Aiming to keep it around 60-62F and 50-60 RH. Hoping for that 10-12 day dry. I wanted to do a full plant hang but the tent got pretty dirty and I would feel more comfortable just cutting and rinsing everything off branch by branch. I’m going to try my best to keep the full plant intact. Got my humidifier hooked up and running RO water because with tap water it deposits calcium and lime all over the buds and walls. For air flow I’m just indirectly running a small usb fan. I’m not worried about air flow in the bathroom honestly. It stays nice and breezy down there anyway. Got the food grade peroxide and RO water to wash up the slurricane and cheese. Everything except for the cheese and garlic#1 is looking more than done. Trichomes all look pretty well done. Some of them have even burst open. Smells are all super ripe and mature too. Can’t wait to smell each individually in jars. Next week I will recap what went wrong and what I will do differently next time to keep it from happening again. (Day 70F) Just got everything chopped, washed and hanging. The vast majority of the PM was washed out but I can still see very small amounts. When they dry out I can shake the branches a bit to get the rest off. At very least it’s sterile now. There is no question I lost some potency while washing but the amount is negligible for a much cleaner product. I could see lots of dirt and other debris float to the surface of the water after being washed. And no those are not trichomes, those sink to the bottom. I could put that nasty water through a bubble bag and wouldn’t get all that much. Although it probably does remove a lot of the actual trichomes heads. I’ll have to check with the microscope. Everything is rigged up for a nice slow dry. Temp is sitting at 64 and RH is at a nice 60%.

Last week of bloom then we go into the next fase

Day 22 - Plant is 6 inches tall. Tons of roots sticking down into the water. Checked PPM 215. PAR/PPFD ranges from 200 to 270 at the height of the plant. Day 25 - Plant is 9 inches tall and 12 inches wide. Water dropped a lot. PPM was 100. Added 2 gallons of RO. Added 10 mL of CalMag. Added 10 mL of the 3 base nutes Micro Grow and Bloom. Added 5 mL of each of the additives. PPM was 515. Day 26 - Plant is 11 inches tall. Fast growth! Short and bushy. Roots are thick as spaghetti noodles and formed a thick rootball. Nearly a dozen budsites. Stem is thicker then a pencil. Day 27 - PPM is 415 in am. Afternoon PPM is 370. Plant is 12 inches tall. PAR/PPFD is 400 to 450 near the top of the plant. DLI is 27 based on 20 hours on and 4 hours off. Late night checked PPM 375. Added 10 mL of Micro Grow and Bloom nutes. PPM is 810. Day 28 - PPM is 775. The plant is getting huge. The stock is about as thick as a Bic lighter. Plant is 13 inches tall.

La numero 2 ha staccato le altre di 5 cm, ora è lei la più alta con i suoi 155 cm. La numero 3 invece ha i buds già bellissimi. Nel complesso crescono bene e forti con una distanza intermodale marcata che le fanno respirare bene. Ora le fragoline misurano circa 1 cm di diametro e quelle della numero 3 misurano circa 1.5 cm💪 L odore inizia a marcare i suoi aromi, pungenti note di mapo (Citrus × tangelo) si mischiano a leggeri sentori di gasolio.😋 Ho defogliato loro nel giorno 67 e ho allargato tutti le apicale dalla pianta 1 con Lst, i nuts rimangono invariati.👍 Eh niente! It was my first grow and I really screwed it up a lot, but it resisted all my beginner mistakes, pests, stress, being without irrigation, irrigation without measuring PH, revegetation, etc. I love her, really, in love with this strain. Grow is coming along well, though the Black Devil is still lagging behind IMO. I think the strain maybe isn't too impressed with being Main-Lined? Either way she's hungry so I gave her some bokashi, clover leaf trim and worm castings. Next week is main dry amendment feeding so the girls will get everything they need. Couple more weeks and the Northern light should make it's way around the entire pot, then if it's tall enough, I'm putting them into flower. Some weird shit on the microscope today; videos above.

Week 4 – Flowering (Day 22–28) 🌸🌱 At the end of Week 3 (Day 21) we carried out a deeper round of defoliation and some lollipopping. By now the stretch is coming to an end, with the plants settling close to their final height. We’ve also stopped foliar feeding, since every single plant is now covered in developing buds. To keep everything protected, we refreshed the beneficial insects, better be safe than sorry, how we say in German, sicher ist sicher. Already in this early stage of flowering, we can clearly spot differences in structure, bud formation and even the first aromas. Some phenos are showing exceptional promise — those will be the ones we’ll highlight more in the coming updates. 🔎 Pheno notes so far: AF Biostimulant 2 – strong side branching, open structure, already pushing citric aromas. AF 38 – well-built top colas, vigorous growth. AF 64, 92, 93 – impressive vigor, strong stacking, healthy canopy. Apple Fritter is already filling the room with fresh citrus tones and showing early winners.

Overall I'm extremely impressed with this strain. Terpene profile definitely leans traditional GG#4. Extremely pungent and lingering aroma. I personally wouldn't consume this if I had any plans for the day. Definitely helps with my sleep issues. The bud to leaf ratio was above average and fairly easy to trim. The bud themselves are extremely resinous and dense. So if you've followed this grow you'll know I made to change back to organic growing and made a light change mid grow. I'm glad I went back to organics because it's always been the favorable growing style of mine. I switched to a light bar style LED from Kind LED lights and noticed a big difference over the Spider Farmer. Now let me state that the Kind pulls more watts and should technically on paper out perform the smaller SF2000 from Spider Farmer. This is not at all a slam against Spider Farmer because I love my Spider lights. I really didn't do anything special this grow other than my normal routine. I topped multiple times and the rest was a mixture of LST and HST techniques. I finished in a 10 Gallon pot to try and fill my canopy to provided grow area. The organics I pretty much kept as simple as possible. Amended soil before transplant and topdressed every 4 weeks. What I would consider the most important aspect of organic growing is to not let the soil dry out and keep the microbial life in your soil prosperous and happy. This week marks the end of our cultivation cycle with a final wet weight of 1720 grams from a setup featuring the FC4800 light dimmed to 65% maximum, utilizing 108 watts over an area of approximately 0.48 square meters. Final Harvest Metrics: Yield Efficiency: Achieved an impressive yield efficiency of 15.92 wet grams per watt, underscoring the efficiency of our light setup. Area Yield: With a productivity of 3583.33 wet grams per square meter, our cultivation space was maximized for optimal output. Plant Yield: Each plant contributed significantly, averaging 573.33 grams, highlighting robust growth and development. Density: The garden hosted 6.25 plants per square meter, optimizing space without overcrowding. Energy Utilization: The grow utilized 225 watts per square meter, a testament to our strategic light management. A huge shoutout to Trolmaster for making such an amazing contest possible, and to GD for providing a platform that brings us all together.
