The seed was put in my germinator, that keeps a steady temperature, to grow a tail. A bit unnecessary when considering it in hindsight since it's too warm now anyway...
After succesful germination the seed was planted and sprouted in 1 day.
During the first week the plant has been growing nicely, but her little stem got a bit crooked during her first day. I've been adding a bit of nutrient mix to the soil daily to carefully moisten the soil while trying to give the seedling a good start. So far all is going well.
This poor girl is not quite as happy as the other 2 strains I'm currently growing. She has been lighter in colour and weaker than the others since day 1. I hope she'll catch up to the others. She's still doing ok. I had her shoots at node 1 removed at day 14. At day 15 she'll be ready to get topped, and then training will start.
At day 15 she was big enough to get topped.
During the week she has grown a bit and her foliage has been looking healthier and healthier. Her leaves are getting darker green. She has been growing a bit sideways and I initially trained her straight before starting the LST on the branches.. I'm tying and twisting all the branches down. I've removed most of the new shoots and kept the foliage.
She has recovered a bit and now show better leaf colours. This week the training has continued. I've also removed some leaves that were blocking out too much light. We start to see the initial signs of flowering and I expect some stretching in the coming weeks.
So, my original plan was to germinate this plant and 2 others indoors, and then take them to my girlfriend's terrace where they were supposed to spend their lives. This would, however, only allow me to see those plants every second weekend, and I just couldn't let go of my babies. Once I started to train them for hours on a daily basis I got too a strong bond with them. I decided to instead let them stay indoors. It will be tight with the 3 of them in there, but we'll see how we go. If I'd known I'd never have chosen 25 litre pots for them....
This girl looked a bit unhappy during veg. and is now getting healthier and healthier looking leaves. Stretching has been very limited so far, thanks to the training. I have kept working on training her branches in a position I like during the week, and I have removed leaves I didn't like. The shape she is growing in now is perfect for the limited space she is given, and we see all 6 main branches at almost the same height and having similar sized bud development. I'm away from my babies for a few days and I can't wait to see how she looks like when I get back. I hope I've raised the light high enough...
On the last 2 pics we can see some free riders in the tent. My old (once white) Oakleys have been yellowed by too many hours in the sun. I'm trying to restore them to their previous glory by soaking them in peroxide and giving them a good dose of UV light from my Viparspectra XS2000. After a few days they look great, and I think they'll get whiter given more time in the peroxide bath inside the grow tent. We'll see...
Being the second tallest in the tent, she doesn't have as impressive colas as her tent sister on her left. Instead is beautifully shaped filling up all available space with buds.
I've picked some leaves, but not that many.
I have done some light defoliation this past week, and I've kept on working on her constraints to keep her tied down. She's growing beautifully with nice long colas, and she's stacking on buds everywhere.
I removed some leaves earlier in the week, and now the colas are shaping up beautifully. I installed some stalks with support rings that will help the colas stay upright.
We start to see some beautiful buds develop. SHe is spreading a strong pleasant smell. I have removed a few leaves and kept her beautiful shape with the rings that really help keeping her steady.
She is starting to get ready. She is losing a lot of yellowing leaves. She's still adding some weight so Ill let her go a little longer. Ill start cutting the feeding now.
We're getting close to harvest. She is putting on the last bit of weight and adding some trichomes these last days. Her smell is strong and good.
She'll go down later this week...
Day 83 - the last day with light for this beautiful baby. She is now going into 2 days of darkness before she'll be chopped down. Her smell is absolutely amazing, and she is very sticky to touch.
Wow! My new morning favourite! This baby kicks butt!! It is absolutely delicious and it is very potent.
The plant grew like a champ throughout her life cycle, and the smell that developed in late flowering was extremely sweet.
Having grown both parents, and loving them both, it was an easy choice to choose which strain to grow. she did not disappoint. She was easy to train, and just grew nicely. She developed great stickiness with an amazing smell. Awesome plant!
Ohhh... you're going to have a tent with a FOREST!! But I, too, would not want to try to grow only visiting them once every two weeks! I think you were smart in your decision... Good luck!!
OMG, you're brave! Haha, I wouldn't to my auto's because of presumed stunned growth. Super curious how she turns out. Will follow your diary. Good luck!👍
Cheers @StealthyDutchGuy, training autos work fine as long as the plants are healthy. This girl looked a bit unhappy, but I decided to train her anyway...
