Ginger Nut Cookies 23rd Jan 2020 Seems like I got another mutated plant to play with 😬 The top leaf which was the second set to appear is mutated and similiar to one of the Sour diesel autos Im growing which is apparently a polyploid. As you can see in the above pics I removed the weird leaf and I now have two distinct tops rather than the usual one forming. They do say two heads are better than one 😀 Anyway I gave this little ginger nut a weak mix of Superthrive and Seaweed solution plus a tiny bit of Great white Mycorrhizae powder. This will be the first documented grow of anything Ive created thru my "Fuck around experiments" I call them that because I really dont have any plans or goals as far as breeding is concerned other than learning how it is all done. When Australia finally bites the bullet and goes legal I want to have the basic skills needed to create my own seeds for my own use. Basically a strain that is well acclimatised to my environment with maximum potency , flavour and terpene profile. But most importantly for me is a strain that is a IBL and Homozygous, so that I get very similiar results every time I grow it. Anyway Thats enough of my rambling lets get down to the Music part of this weeks update. I hope you liked the AC/DC I played last week , This week is INXS probably our greatest export music wise other than the Beegees I suppose. Sadly Michael hutchence the lead singer of INXS died in an apparent accidental misadventure but some say it was suicide . We'll never know for sure. Week 13/4 of Flower and defoliation time yeay ✌️ Day 92/22 watered 2,5l with 2ml grow and 1ml topmax heaven and bloom. looking good. stretching still. supercropping visible yeay. lots of tops. 😍I could not hold myself back and had to defoliate her bushy under growth. So much bottom growth, small popcorn quality, not wanted, bye bye. She is 9 days into proper flower at this point. I didn't think she would stretch too much, no matter the light issue, since she grew rather wide than in height. I'm hopeful all is good. Day 94/24 all good on the top department, but she seems to have successfully used up all the available soil space. ay, so happy there is always something. I should've known and note to myself: DONT VEG TOO LONG WITH TOO SMALL OF A POT. this could/will lead to more waterings more often. poor thing and me. Day 96/26 did I water her in last days? dont know... mmh. shes dry. watering 3l with 1ml grow, 2ml bloom, 1ml topmax, 1ml each activera, algamic and heaven. def. some more. removed bigger leaves. While checking on root growth on both clones, one did not make it, but the other is happy and potted. Took 2 more at defoliation time, this is addicting 😋

09/24: flowing away! They are looking good. Water hooked up today. Looking forward to seeing how they progress this week. Purple is coming in! 😀

Hi guys, what's up? Welcome back to my diaries. My experience with this pheno has been just amazing and I wish I had a ton of these gems by now!Really very resinous, tight and compact buds .... With spectacular colors and aromas that ... mmmmmm already make you dizzy I'm sure we'll re-propose this delicious plant on a large scale!

I started germination of 2 Jack F1 beans on 29/12/2020. I pre moistened my rockwool cubes with ph balanced water to 6.4. Made sure the plugs were just damp and not soaked. Using a small wooden dowel I increased the size of the plugs pre made holes. Than I sowed my beans into the holes. Ripped off a small piece of rockwool and mulched it up. Lightly filled the holes in with the mulched rockwool. Than stuck the plugs into a misted humidity dome, to complete germination. Shouldn't take anymore than 4-5 days to see some sprouts. Once I see some cotlydon leaves bursting to the surface. I will get the plugs planted into some 1 gallon pots. Plus get these ladies situated into their new home. Cant wait! Just some background information on my last run with the Jack f1. It was relatively strong during veg. But was middle of the pack in size after the 6 weeks of vegetative growth. After the flower stretch she became the largest quick! With a enormous stretch rate of 300%... Yes she tripled in size. Forcing me too super crop her which she didnt like at all. Setting her back and definitely hurting her all around yeild. Despite the staggering, unexpected stretch amount. Leading to the stress inducing supercropping. She still pulled off immaculate bud structre, density, and trichome production. She just took much longer than she should have... and didnt pack on the whopper size buds I'd expect out of these genetics. Definitely learned alot out of my first go. So I'm amped for the second run with this variety. This time around I'm going to anticipate the stretch and cut veg time shorter. To roughly 4 weeks or 1 ft in height. Also utilize a bit of very light lst to their side branching to open them up a little bit. Without stressing them out... well hopefully.

-4/30/23 Start of week --Week 6 -5/1/23 (Day 44) --Observations: getting clustered in the middle, still growing at a good rate --Changes: removes some shade leaves -5/2/23 (Day 45) --Changes: added new guiders --Comments: some new guiders were added to first set of side branches, should help lengthen branches and make some space for the other ones. -5/3/23 (Day 46) --Changes: removed two of the branches (used for clones), added new guiders --Comments: to free up space two branches were removed, the remaining spade leaf branch and the branch on the bottom side of the main stem. these branches were used as potential clones, one might not survive because the stem is short and curved but the other will most likely take root. after branch removal new guiders were added to pull down the remaining vertical branch, also guiders were placed to influence second set of side branches. -5/6/34 (Day 49) --Observations: starting to get clustered again --Changes: defoliation, added new guiders --Comments: removed several shade leaves to free up space, also added some guiders to secondary branches to try and keep them from growing into each other during the pre-flower stretch. tomorrow will be the start of flower cycle, the light is getting set to 12/12 light/night at the end of today. will not be removing any leaves or branches during the first three weeks of flower cycle, at the end of week three a defoliation will be done if needed. -5/6/23 End of Week

November 2nd. 33 days post flip. Nothing crazy this week. Very light defoliation every couple days. At this point I am guaranteed no more defoliation to day 49. Along with this nothing but water this week. Plants should be able to get to the finish line with no added nutrients I’m really happy with bud development so far. They are not the largest yet but they are very very healthy and plentiful. They should really fatten up over these next few weeks. Temps have been running around 82 during the day. Because of this I’ll be adding two more small fans to the tent. One blowing on the medic grow, and one along the bottom of the canopy. I am doing this to ensure these buds stay compact. Both of the clones of the purple marmalades could not be happier. Really happy in their pots growing away slowly. The trick to keeping them small is using small fabric pots so their roots air prune, 24h light to severely limit root development and heavy defoliations whenever they get too happy. At this point in flower it is time to start giving more detailed descriptions of our 3 phenos so here we go. Plant#1(cherry chunks): 27” tall. Musty almost earthy scent. Kinda similar to pine. Weak scent so far. Appears to have the most densely populated Trichomes out of these three plants. Plant #2(Purple Marmalades): 30” tall. Smells absolutely insane. Like this is a terp monster. Very citrusy. Smells exactly like grapefruit. Very high concentration of valencene. Extremely strong scent. Also appears this one will have the largest buds of the three but only time can tell here. This one is my favorite one so far Plant #3(Purple Marmalade): 28” tall. Light scent of pepper mixed with a tiny bit of lemon. Start of week 6, zkittles is a little behind the smoothie so going to keep zkittles on last week's feed for a few days but smoothie has started week 6 schedule today,.. tied down, defoliated and using a scrog has gave both girls a really wide stance which is what I wanted as I don't have a lot more height to play with,... getting there now, loving fastbuds auto strains so far,... roll on next week 👍

The Green Gelato has been a great success although i have been using this time as a bit of experiment the results are clear. While i have two plants that are ready for harvest both are looking extremely tasty, the third one in the smallest pot although it has huge top colas i would say its at least another week if not two away from being ready to harvest. I am now flushing these through ready for a great smoke. Thank you to everyone who has liked this diary fingers crossed next post will be results and review. 😌

Got a new light this week, it's basically a HLG 260 R-Spec except locally manufactured using the same Samsung LEDs. Big Mumma got her 60x60cm tent today and will go in there under one Viparspectra 300W blurple (130w from the wall). I trimmed her, super cropped her main stem and added a scrog net in preparation of flowering her in the next couple of days. Because my other plants were getting up past 75cm after 7 days of flower (100cm is my absolute max) , I decided to supercrop the canopy back down to about 60-65cm - it was pretty scary and I definitely broke the outer stem on some of them. Also gave them a good trim. Fortunately most bounced back strong the next day which are the most up-to-date photos you see (17/4/20).

Day 74. Girls is down. Chopped her way too early, but loads of milky and I need more space !!!! ;)) Thank You FastBuds for wonderful strain again !!! I'll nail her this year outdoors I guess ;))) Happy Growing !!!
