Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. So with much pride and thankfulness for the presents the Universe bestowed on us, in the form of MarsHydroLEDS offer and the bountiful harvest of the last grow, (which I am thoroughly enjoying btw, such a great weed to have grown ourselves) we start out on a new adventure that we can't wait to share with you. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? It is seriously THE BEST light on the market in this price range and size group. It has an enormously effective output in U/Mol and with 30% less energy waste comparing to older LED lights. Prove me wrong! And with a company holding a considerable market share selling thousands of units every month, competing on price and quality, one would think that customer service would suffer. Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. It is this dedication to their customer base that made this company have a fanbase... Yes, a fanbase with a website and a wiki. Lineage: Chem Sis x Chocolate Diesel x Sour Dubb Popularity: Extremely Popular Flavor/Aroma Profile: Chocolate, Earthy, Fuel Yield: 400 g/m2 Stress Tolerance: High resistance to disease Potency: 24% THC Flowering time: 58 - 63 days The Soil: Those who saw my Monstercropped Gelato #33 grow (you should see it if you didn't, I'm so proud of that grow), know about my super soil and organic nutrients/ permaculture tea combo that starred in my previous diary. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! Week 7 is going smoothly so far. The flooding issue has subsided and the clones seem to be really taking off now. I'm excited to get back from vacation and really see my girls and my reservoir conditions after a 2 week hiatus.

3 seeds from barneys farm : zkittlez Og auto. Diary : Day 1: I dug a pit and cleaned my dirt with metal grid and a wheelbarrow & Installed the greenhouse. Day 2 : I rotated my dirt and added universal soil. 4 x 70l to area of 6m2 . I also planted seeds in universal soil without sprouting first. Day 3 : I gave water and checked for sprouts. Bought moist meter and dripping hose. Installed those and making the greenhouse more moisty now. Putted seeds in small sprout basket for now. Feeling : Verry happy for my first time. Lots to learn.. . Excited

We are getting a nice quick start just like always from fastbuds. I'm starting this week now with a video of our 5 gallon home. I will add more pics through out the week. Please come back to follow along! I'm so excited about this grow! It's been a few days but I wanted to update you all. The #1 plant got eaten by something. I threw that soil out and started over again. The # 2 plant has a tap root showing and is in the pot as of today May 30th. I'm keeping a close eye on the bug situation. May 31st- the replacement seed for plant 1 has cracked open has a tail and will be popping up any time now! I do have fungus gnats, I did a soil drench with sns 709 and put out stick yellow traps. Hopefully this will do.

Chugging along. Suffered minor light burn - - no issues moving forward as the underlying cause is rectified. Another heat wave here in Cali. I will be on alert to help the controlled environment.

Hey there, Just a small update. Day 11 of veg phase. Plants developing pretty good. Will send the ladys into flower tomorrow. 🌻 Keep on keeping on. 😎

Después de llevar 13 días sin postear nada sobre mis autos debo decir que van en buen camino, llevan una floración más avanzada. Sigo con la misma dinámica, riego a base de aloe vera y semillas germinadas de soja verde esta vez he comenzado a agregar silicio para fortalecer la planta. La receta de té es la misma que la de antes: Tierra de cultivo 100g Hummus de lombriz 200g Guano de murciélago 80g Puñado de compost de caballo (imagino que unos en la anterior toma también 40g) Cola de caballo 2.5g Espirulina 7g Hidrolizado de kelp 20g Ácidos fulvico 2ml Melaza 90ml Siempre oxigenado 24h Preparado para 15 litros a las plantas más jóvenes al ser trasplantados hace poco les suministro diluido con una tercera parte de agua. Por la mañana aún llevando menos oxigenación les fumigo el te de compost también diluido a toda la terraza y les sienta genial. Os dejo escrito como he preparado mi tierra y las enmiendas realizadas. 50% sustrato antiguo bien reposado limpio de raíces ( light mix) en este caso, llevan casi un año y no tienen mucho nutriente pero esta en buen estado. 50% basado en 35% fibra de coco 15%hummus de lombriz 2l perlita Como extras nutrihemp, torta de neem y dolomita. Todo dosis recomendada. Sin medición de ph ni ec en ningún momento del cultivo. Es mi primera mezcla y por ahora las plantas transplantadas han tenido un cambio notable a como lo tenía al empezar el cultivo solo con tierra antigua y hummus. Tengo acompañando a estas auto a unas 6 feminizadas y otras 2 autos todas lucen verdes y sanas

I feel like both my Ladies are doing great. I been checking the Trichromes and they are still clear. I'm thinking maybe a few more weeks before harvest. I also stopped giving them nutrients, I hope I'm doing that correctly.

RSV11 has gotten huge. She has a lot of frosty colss on her. She has a few weeks left. Everything is going well beside she is eating more then I have provided. She is still getting enough though. Día 8 (20/01) Subo a DLI 20 Elimino la cúpula de humedad y oriento el ventilador para que les llegue una ligera brisa que fortalezca el tallo Hago un riego de unos 30 ml en la maceta de 1 Litro Día 9 (21/01) Se ve saludable y se empiezan a formar las primeras hojas reales! Día 10 (22/01) Desarrollo esperado para el día 10 Día 11 (23/01) Sigue desarrollándose bien. Las raíces se asoman la parte inferior de la maceta Riego con 100 ml H2O RO Día 12 (24/01) Buen aspecto y desarrollo Día 13 (25/01) Riego con 50 ml H2O RO Día 14 (26/01) Hoy procedemos a trasplantar a las chicas a su maceta definitiva de 6 litros con la siguiente mezcla: Substrato PRO-MIX HP BACILLUS + MYCORRHIZAE BIOTABS estrategia de cultivo de "Solo agregar agua", donde todos los nutrientes están premezclados en la tierra: SILICIUM FLASH 5 g/L de sustrato STARTREX 5 g/L de sustrato DOLOMITA 2 g/L de sustrato (ya que riego con H2O RO) MYCOTREX 5 g en el agujero del trasplante BIOTABS: 1 unidad a 10 cm de profundidad Se llena la maceta con las manos (limpias) y rompiendo los trozos de sustrato más gruesos, para que el sustrato esté aireado y esponjoso, sin presionar Se coloca una maceta vacía para que quede la forma perfecta de la maceta donde están las plántulas Se llena hasta arriba, y se hace un 1er riego muy lentamente con 0,75 Litros de H20 Osmosis RO Después de que el sustrato haya compactado y bajado de nivel (algo normal), se vuelve a rellenar con la mezcla de sustrato + nutrientes de BIOTABS hasta el borde Se saca la plántula de su maceta actual (bonitas raíces 😍) y se coloca en la maceta final Se vuelve a regar 0,5 L H2O Osmosis (RO) y se coloca en el armario ajustando la luz a DLI 25 El riego total es de 1,25 Litros H2O Osmosis (RO) A ver como reacciona al trasplante!
