Terpenes are aromatic compounds that give cannabis some of its most distinct aromas from citrus and berry, to more earthy tones. Many species of plants produce and emit terpenes in a diurnal, or daily cycle that is regulated by a complex web of signaling. There are also many plants that emit terpenes at night to attract nocturnal pollinators (Marinho et al., 2014346). It has been proved that spider mite, aphids, gray mold, late blight and virus disease of tomatoes in the greenhouses decreased by 6.0, 8.0, 9.0, 11.0, and 8.0%, respectively, and the sheath blight of rice was reduced by 50%. They are getting fatter each day, as you can probably notice one of them is showing real signs of stress with brown spots and dead yellow leafs. I am adding Calmag this week and making sure Ph is set, will most likely only water them and add calmag. I think next week will be the flush and then harvest. Still trying to battle humidity, hopefully I get a dehumidifier this weekend and manage to reduce it a bit. Hopefully no mold -_-

Veg week two. Everything seems to be ok at this point.

Téměř všechny trichomy jsou bílé. Nechám je ještě týden poté 3 dny ve tmě a konečně bude sklizeň. Opravdu už se nemohu dočkat protože každý Shogun voní jako citronová borovice. Už je chci kouřit 😁 Začátkem týdne dostaly proplach vodou s odtokem okolo 5 litrů . Listy pozvolna mění barvu na žlutou. To je pro mě dobře 😊 Shining Silver Haze téměř bez vůně. Haze Berry velmi slabý zápach.

Good plant! Was attacked by flies (Sciaridae), thrips, tetranychus and a monster cat but always remained strong! The attacks had just slowed down the growth (this little one has 2 month of growth). Even in microgrow, the blooming is really impressive: as fast as an indica but for as long as a sativa. The genetics is not perfect: some parts of the same flower were too mature and some new parts swere still emerging... it's a research strain! The smell is really good and relatively light comparing to others strains. After few volacano : the weed taste like "tropical soda" or passion fruit mixed with cream. The effect is much stronger than I expected for a THC-CBD hybrid, is more indica than the pure indica: the afghan side + the CBD relaxation make a real sleeping medecine. => The taste and effect are really different from every other strain, try it!

Decided to bring the ladies outdoors to finish them off. I have a small 5x5 pop-up greenhouse that will keep them safe from the extreme weather. The nights are finally warm enough and we have some great sunshine coming in the next week. There are only about 4 weeks left for them so there should be lots of light for them to finish and produce, even in northern Ontario. They have started to flower and have really enjoyed being outdoors. We have had some very cloudy and rainy days for the past week, perfect weather to get them hardened off to the Sun. I’ve been watering every 4 days or so, keeping the PPM average for now until I see they are getting hungrier/thirstier. Can’t wait for the good part! Happy growing 🇨🇦❤️🌱😎💨

Day 16 Veg : Holy molly these girls have impressed me this week. I started with barely seedlings and now at the beginning of week 3 above the soil , they are going for it. Seeing the LOS girl#1 slowly start to gain a little more green to her leaf finally has me thinking the soil is becoming active now. The coty leaves are still all looking ok and not even nibbled by them. I wonder if autos can bypass them when resources are there for them ?. So far the coco girls have been consistently getting bigger but the LOS seems to have spurted up in their pots. They all had a treat of a life-cycle feed a few days back which seems to have accelerated them all a little too. No doubt their ruderalis genetic also is a huge help but no signs of deficiency besides the paling , so all good in the world. I am curious to see when the first signs of flower kick in now the 2 week mark has passed. Training starts soon.
