Man, what a crazy week. If you go back to week 6 you’ll start to see signs of the claw on the leaves. I thought it was a severe nute deficiency but I knew I was feeding her GHE correctly. This is my 2nd run with this particular strain so I could rule out several factors. She’s been fed with a nice blend of food that helped a ton, but she still seemed sick. It wasn’t heat stress, although I’ll be watching the RH levels now that she’s been flipped to flowering. I noticed a couple things I thought were nutrient deficiencies but after further research on Growweedeasy.com, Nebula had my answer! You’ll see in the 1st pic her roots were so bound up I was suffocating her 😢 The first tip that got me thinking: I’d water her and 2 days later she was bone dry. The PH water levels were a bit off in the drain off but nothing crazy. I’m sooo glad I found this when I did as I just flipped her into flower. Growweedeasy.com to the rescue. It amazing content! Definitely has a tangerine smell! Funny cuz my guy @schwaggy from (GD) growdiaries had jus mentioned the smell from one of his previous sugar puss strain grow which I was glad to hear cuz I haven't found a lot of info on this strain!.. but I start this update at Day 74 (April 4th) from seed but week 4 into flowering (every Tuesday is a new week into flowering) Fridays are counted from the seed pop but I do my updates on Saturdays. Day 78 jus picking and leafs that covering any bud sites smell definitely picking up oh by the way I did lie about the height last week my bad

4/7 Day 31 (AM) - Things have been going relatively well over the last several days, with the exception of the one plant that has been unhappy throughout the grow. I did some light pruning to remove brown/dying fan leaves from the struggling plant but have otherwise been focused on tucking leaves under future bud sites, and keeping an eye on the two that were topped late in week 4, both of which are sending out new shoots. All seem to want nutrients now. I've been very light-handed with the nutrients but started giving them small amounts at least every other watering. At week five it feels like a lot of things are on autopilot now, just normal maintenance like topping off the humidifier and occasionally poking my head in to check on things. Glad I didn't abandon the sickly plant. New growth looks healthy, and it just might pull through. Update (4/8- Day 32 AM): Feeding was very well received by all plants. It's taking some getting used to. I tend to use very little in the way of fertilizer (have read too many horror stories). Still, these guys are showing signs of being hungry on a regular basis, and their daily uptake of water is considerably more than when I started. For the time being, I have been using about 50% of the recommended amount of FF Grow Big, close to a normal recommended amount of CalMag, and about 50% of the recommended amount of P-K (due to deficiencies noted in some leaf margins). I've been testing the runoff and it's coming out between 6.5-6.6 consistently. No signs of drooping or overwatering. Right now, they appear to be happy if watered about every other day, and they're taking on about 1/2 gallon each pretty consistently. Next time I'll probably use nothing but pH adjusted water, just to avoid nutrient build-up.

This week I tried some gentle LST by just bending the main branch over every day once or twice a day I didn’t use tie downs, I figured for my first grow I’ll keep it as simple as possible and see if I can even get it to harvest. It has definitely grown this week from last, and seems to be liking the 50-50 mix of FFOF and FFHF. I have noticed some yellow on the tips of a few leaves I’m assuming it’s cal mad deficiency comparing with others pictures but it’s minor. I have to say fast buds has a very hearty strain here it withstands well despite not having quite enough light, but I hope that’s something I can change in the future grows. I just worry that when she flips to flower she will struggle more under my lighting configuration and fox tail or larf out. That being said I’m intrigued to see what happens and see what she produces. I see her getting into a stretch getting taller daily and wanting more frequent watering I’m assuming I’ll start to see flower in week 5 or maybe 6. All in all I’m very happy for my first grow and the fast buds northern lights, I agree with others that say this strain is resilient. Happy growing!
