Zeit für den Endspurt Neun Wochen liegen inzwischen hinter uns – und das Ende lässt sich förmlich riechen. Fünf Wochen Blütezeit sind geschafft, und die Ladys zeigen sich weiterhin von ihrer besten Seite. Die wohl größte Veränderung in dieser Woche ist, dass meine kleine Nachzüglerin das Zelt verlassen hat. Sie steht nun überdacht im Außenbereich. Die Entscheidung fiel mir nicht schwer, da sie im Vergleich zu den anderen deutlich hinterherhinkt und schlichtweg nicht denselben Nährstoffbedarf hat. Durch ihren Auszug konnte ich sowohl die Transpiration als auch die Wärmeentwicklung im Zelt etwas reduzieren. Der Fokus liegt nun ganz klar auf den verbleibenden drei Pflanzen – und wer weiß, vielleicht holt die Nachzüglerin am Ende draußen doch noch etwas auf, wenn der Rest bereits geerntet ist. Ernährungstechnisch blieb in der fünften Blütewoche alles beim Alten. Die Nährstoffzufuhr habe ich bewusst konstant gehalten. Für die kommende Woche ist allerdings eine gezielte Mischung mit PK 13/14 geplant, um die Blütenbildung weiter zu pushen und das Maximum aus der Reifephase herauszuholen. Die Entwicklung der Pflanzen ist weiterhin tadellos. Alle Werte – sei es Luftfeuchtigkeit, Temperatur, VPD oder pH-Wert – sind stabil und genau dort, wo sie sein sollen. Diese Konstanz in der Umgebung macht sich sichtbar bezahlt. Im Zelt liegt ein intensiver, süßlicher Duft in der Luft, der stark an Zitrone und Beeren erinnert – ein echter Vorgeschmack auf das, was kommt. Die Buds entwickeln sich sichtbar weiter, werden dichter, harziger und formen sich immer klarer aus. Besonders auffällig ist der dichte Überzug aus Trichomen, der die Blüten in ein frostiges Kleid hüllt. Beim Berühren bleiben die Finger regelrecht kleben – ein deutliches Zeichen dafür, dass sich hier eine Menge Potenzial an Geschmack und Wirkung aufbaut. Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen bleibt: Durch den begrenzten Platz mit ursprünglich vier Pflanzen musste ich in Sachen Lichtverteilung und Luftzirkulation kleine Einbußen hinnehmen. Das wird sich vermutlich leicht auf die Budgröße auswirken. Dennoch bin ich mehr als zufrieden mit dem, was sich hier abzeichnet. Die letzten Wochen des Grows sind angebrochen – das Ende rückt näher, der Anfang liegt längst zurück. Ich freue mich riesig auf das, was noch kommt, und bin sehr gespannt, welche Masse und Qualität die Buds am Ende erreichen werden.

Started flushing the end of week 6 and continued up until day 46 of flower. Allowed plant to dried and was harvested on day 48 of flower. I was initially planning on giving her a few more days but due to a recent volcanic eruption in a nearby caribbean island, ash and other foul weather conditions pose a serious threat to crops so I decided to cut her just before ash and other things happened which would affect quality. Very impressed with strain from start to finish. She definitely didn't have enough support for her colas but I got her a little over 1m2 So I'm expecting at least 450-600g of dried buds. * Video was taken on harvest day. I was making space to put all this plant since I also harvested others recently so they were only hing in direct light for a few minutes before being transferred to their drying room. Harvest weight and more pics to follow by 4/20 Overall she will have a fine mixture of buds. Some have at least 20-25% amber, others only milky and some with a tad bit of clear on the trichome. 11/16/2020 She's growing, roots are nice and healthy, so time for flowering. Switching to 11-14 and flower dose will start today. Full bucket switch to Grow, Micro, Bloom flower week one Raised level of water to 16 liters just touching mesh pot, she used about 1/2 her water (6liters) And do not want her to go hungry lol

Week 22 of our painful result on the mothers. Reveg. Is full on and the plants are all trying desperately to figure out how to flower again. A couple days ago I was resolved to the fact that this cycle of mothers was not going to be anywhere near our acceptable standards for a high quality bud harvest. We lamented and cried a little…. Then we got ridiculously high to numb the pain…. And then I had a brilliant thought! The whole purpose has been to pollinate clones this whole time. Now that our stable of clones are well into rooting and reveg. We can simply use the mothers for breeding instead and salvage a harvest of high quality buds with the clones! It’s not an ideal situation and will result in less smokable buds but that said (and as per the outdoor photos), quantity won’t be a problem this year as usual😉. I figure a week or two to see what happens with em and we’ll commence the sperm spray😎. We’ve also taken some additional steps and commenced with impregnating the Spliff strawberry on a couple of select branches. This plant is proving a beauty as expected - even despite a little fasciation she’s a monster🤩🤩. Method - we placed some pollen into a brown paper bag (both some SOG in one and some 707 in another. - we marked 2 branches with zip ties to keep track of which pollen is where. - we wrapped the branches in each bag and twisty tied it closed to the stem base for about 12 hours. - after remove the bags and to prevent further pollination on the rest of the plant we sprayed down the pollinated branches and then the entire plant with a light mist of water. When ur outdoors this isn’t perfect science and there will be some additional seed that pops out elsewhere. Regardless, it’s a guarantee the 707 is viable but I’m none too sure about the Skywalker stuff. It may have been subjected to moisture while in storage and could be inert at this point. No telln for a few weeks🤞. The dutchy system, despite significant time to set up has been better than expected - all the plants are happy, added a Skywalker clone to the mix for flowering as well. They seem to be taking to the Druid nutes just fine. Great system and she’s pretty much on cruise control right now👌. All told - the pollen chuck is not yet a complete failure. We’re definitely gonna have some cross beans - they only question that remains is how many different strains. Thanks again for hanging with the longest grow ever👍👊. Background/Repetitive Nonsense These plants will be the two mothers this growing season that will be utilized for stage 2 of the pollen chucking project. We’ll be taking clones and stressing the genetics for some fem. pollen using colloidal silver. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel with landrace genetics, we’re effectively skipping initial hybrid crossing and stabilization, going straight to the polyhybrid mix. I call it the shotgun approach to selective, unvetted and amateur breeding on a micro scale😉. These 2 parent strains will form the basis for 8-10 different F1 polyhybrid combinations and a further S1 back cross of each of the mothers. Not only should we be able to preserve the genetics for both mothers in feminized form but we’ll also be running an entire family of new hybrids after seeding out clones from each on the initial lineup of this summers photoperiods. Method is pretty simple here; once we’ve got our pollen off the two mothers we’ll be clipp’n clones on 4 select strains that have proven results from various respected breeders. We’ll be using those for pollination purposes in what is expected to be a 10 plant recirculating Dutch bucket hydro system. ***Update*** The feminization process didn’t take at all with the strawberry or the Skywalker so it’ll be reg. Seed crosses with only Skywalker and some other 707 Headband that we have in the vault. ********* Strain details: Parent strains for self pollination - Skywalker Kush by Reserva Privada Classic kush effects and earthy aroma. The strong kush element of this cultivar will compliment any cross. - Spliffs Strawberry by Spliff Seeds Incredible mix of flavourful terpenes and hard hitting high THC. She’s got some Herer as well as some Diesel in ‘er so an obvious choice for any cross as well. ***UPDATE*** The strawberry had to come out of this breeding run to wait for a better mother that hasn’t been attacked by aphids. It’s been a tough battle this season and we’ve had to make a couple of heartbreaking sacrifices already. Parent Strains for cross pollination ***UPDATE*** We added another 2 strains to the mix just in case we need to spot swap for some more variety. - Ghost Train by AMS Seeds A cross of Alien OG x Ghost Train Haze. Never tried the strain but I’ve heard only good things. This one might be worth mixing with the Strawberry so we’ll see how it goes. ***UPDATE*** Sadly - the ghost train turned out to be an auto so cloning her out as part of the breeding project is a no-go. Really disappointed about this but at least we still have a ready backup strain on the lost coast og to take her place. - Boogie Nights by AMS Seeds A cross of Kalijah, aka afghani/skunk/diesel/blue heaven X Juanita, aka NYC Diesel/Reina Madre). No idea here so naturally I’m interested😉. ************** - Lost Coast OG by Emerald Triangle Pakistani Kush x Lemon Thai x Chemdawg #4. Essentially a classic, west coast combo of landrace kush genetics that Cali is famous for, mixed with hard hitting Chemdawg #4. ***UPDATE*** The Lost Coast is a winner of a plant. Still outdoors and in veg. Looks like it’s recovered from the aphid attack. Might consider trying to take another cut of this and just rooting it in a pot for pollination. At this point, what the hell and if we could salvage anything it would be a positive. ***** - Spliffs Blueberry by Spliff Seeds (Chocolate Thai x Afghani #1 x Highland Oaxaca) x Northern Lighhts Special. Only 1 bean of this left and the whole purpose is to blend the best of Spliffs Berry strains as a tribute. Awesome breeder and they’ve been very kind to us over the years. - Northern Light by Royal Queen Seeds NL means nuff said. A combo of 11 unknown strains believed to originate from the west coast of North America. This cultivar is a great take on these classic genetics and a perfect compliment to just about any cross. A biased fave of ours.👍 - White Widow by Seedsman Brazilian Sativa x South Indian Indica. This classic strain has been unluckily elusive for us the last couple years. We know the quality of seedsmans version of this cultivar having grown it in the past. Sadly, a very strong performer that never made it to harvest due to an uncontrollable aphid infestation. And we’re only at step 1.... still gonna need an assist with pheno hunting all of the crosses so if anyone’s interested in running the testers (when we finally get to that point) just let me know👍😎. Bad weather but all ok.

Wonderful harvest! Plants were very dense and frosty and smell was super strong. I made sure to wear gloves so my hands weren't sticky the rest of the day. Very happy with this strain, it seemed to produce quite a bit of dense frosty bud. Nice deep purple leaves at the end. Will update with a smoke report after a 6 day dry, 30 day cure in my Cannatrol.

Day 85 - first day of Week 13 and she is going into darkness for 48 hours. Hasn't been watered since 2 days. Even though she looks the least done of all three, her trichomes are now a good 20-30% amber with the rest milky and some tiny bits of clear. I checked her buds on the calyx all around, from top buds to middle to bottom. She really shows a lot of heavily swolen calyxes, which I have never seen like that. I can now add that to the things I learned/experienced: calyxes swell a lot before the plant is finished. Let's see. My Girl Scout Cookies does not look like she even has calyxes. Funny individuals. Happy wedding cake day, almost 😍 Day 88 - out of darkness. She was in there for 2,5 days. Opening the drying tent she gave off a really strong smell of hash 😍wow. She has some nice looking buds and looks def. more done, but below her dress, she has some light fluffy buds. I have hung all of them now in the dry tent, after I removed some of the bigger fan leaves. One part of it, I think I want to low and slow dry in the fridge. I am interested in finding out about the difference in taste, when a more wholesome profile is retained. I bought a small tent (40x40cm), a small oszillating fan hung over the buds/on top of the tent. Due to size limitations, I have the filter on the bottom with the duct leaving the tent at the bottom connecting to an exhaust fan. Inside the tent I have a humidity sensor from an Inkbird Humidity regulator. Connected to that is a mini-dehumidifer and a humidifier. I have set it to 20°C (68F) and 50-55% humidity. I'm excited to see how long my dry will last this time. My first grow was drying way too fast in the middle of the heat wave last year with 30% humidity. The overview added to the pictures, I started making over Christmas. It was when I noticed, that I'm a so impatient, and that something must be wrong, especially in the first weeks. I get so obsessive, that I tend to overcare. Which she showcases beautifully in this overview. I hope this will calm me down the next time. Oh my haha Let's see what the final dry weight is. My guess is about 25-35g. Any other guesses? Happy Wedding Cake day 😇

2020-08-24 Chop chop chop. I DID NOT FLUSH! I read a lot of guides and some scientific data and I wanted to see if I could detect an issue with non-flushed cannabis. We'll find out! After seeing that the trichomes were not going to turn amber (all milky for many days) I did a bit of research and found that some people say WW doesn't produce amber trichomes until week 13-14. I have been monitoring to decide when to cut the plant. I noticed that there was some foxtails developing. The grow was messed up because the plant stretched so much. This created different lighting strength areas so some parts developed faster than others. Everything right under the light was definitely ready for harvest. I have done a bit of a wet trim and hung everything up at 74F and 55% relative humidity. Took a pic of the 8 main colas that I setup from the beginning with my mainlining technique from Nebula. Definitely way messier than I intended (need to lollipop way higher in the future) but those buds are pretty giganticccccccccccccccc 2020-08-26 It is now smelling fairly grassy as the chlorophyll breaks down. Everything going as expected. I was kind of worried by the smell because it was very earthy, now very grassy. The air coming out of the tent smells like fresh cut grass but if you actually touch/squeeze the buds with your hands, it EXPLODES with citrus smells, far more so than when it was still alive. No signs of mould or mildew. I bleached the tent right before hanging so hopefully no infections. I will post the harvest report later on!

(240W) Sie erhalten täglich 650 ml Vitaminwasser mit einem kleinen Zusatz von Bio Vega. Jetzt Dec. 12. Blumen 30. Tages (Woche 5. 2.Tag) Ich hoffe wirklich, dass ich alles richtig mache. Jetzt Dec 15. Ich habe mein eigenes, einzigartiges Seilnetz hergestellt.

When you enter your dry room and see such tooth picks - you harvested TOO EARLY !!!!! ;))) I kinda knew it, but still such sad picture ... Couple more days and dry result will show it all. Trimmed all top colas fresh, removing parts without trichomes and selecting only useful trim. Largest cola split to prevent mold, main stem removed. Yes! harvest time! Buds r very solid, smelling very sweet and have lovely colours of pink in it.. but dang! so sticky!! She was in a 5L pot but she grew hard, like the beast she is 😎👍 Sticky was on tour a lot She started out on my window sill with only 13H of daylight and NO sunshine! But the winter was long, and i just could not wait any longer! 👊 ..then she went in my little greenhouse in my garden//and when she got bigger, she got an upgrade to the big safehouse (also in garden) and now and then she could stay on my gardentable to catch few rays.. She has battled a lot of bad (storms!) and cold weather and with that came a lot of bugs and pests..(big safe house is open at the sides.. its more a cover to protect them from rain and wind) But she still kept on growing like she did not care..
