Cookies and cream and Somango didnt really had stretch at all but their growing way faster than those Bubba kush plants! See ya next week

Transplanted week 5 put it 3 gal cloth pots 1/3 strawberry fields soil, 2/3 Happy frog, 1/2 cup rice hulls total, mixed into both soils. watered with recharge mix 1/4 tsp to a gallon of water. Back in to the veg tent.

Day 36 - In the picture, I demonstrated the efforts I put in for leaf tucking, the back half, so that light can get deeper in the canopy. A had also removed all of the flowering cover crop to prevent it from going to seed. It served its purpose and now serves as compost for my outdoor garden. Day 37 - This plant does not slow down! It is maxed out, for my preference, horizontally. Stretch is slowing down. Bud growth will now be the focus. Day 38 - She really needed a haircut, so she got one. Everytime I do this, I honestly scare myself. I know the potential these plants have, but a mistake that would cause additional stress to the defol can change everything.. cover crop is also cut down and breaking down in my outdoor garden. One last spray down before buds appear and a good feeding to push her through this heavy strip. Love to see worms hanging out on the surface of the soil, breaking down all my top dresses. Posting the phenos when I do them

Pheno #1 is getting fatter and fatter by the day although she is starting to fade out a bit. It’s a shame I had to tie her down because I swear her main cola would have been a foot long 😂She is also sensitive to light and has received slight amounts of burn and bleaching. She is the largest of the three but she has the least amount of resin and terpenes which is a bit unfortunate... She smells earthy, no banana scent or fruit terps like pheno #2. I still have about another 4+ weeks to go so that could easily change but we will see. I will try to be optimistic! Pheno #2 is a frost monster. She is completely covered in resin and trichromes. Her smell is out of this world, definitely has that banana fruity type smell. I don’t think I have smelt another strain quite like this so I’m very excited to see how she continues develop. Pheno #3 is a bit funky. She is stretching and getting bushier but she is extremely slow to flower. She has tons of shoots and bud sites. Almost every popcorn type branch at the very bottom raced to the top of the canopy. I feel like she hasn’t changed in the past couple weeks but maybe that’s just me being impatient. She is developing some interesting deficiencies but only on a couple leaves here and there. She is also somewhat lackluster compared to the other two. In my opinion she is a little dull looking... It’s odd to see how all three pheno’s are expressing different traits regardless of being grown in identical substrates with identical feeding schedules. It’s hard to say if it’s the genetics, substrate or the nutrients but I have a strong feeling it has more to do with the medium not being properly balanced. I normally would never grow with such a light substrate but DP grew theirs in a similar medium so I thought for the first time around I’d try to grow similar to their style. Next round I’m definitely going to switch it up and use the NFG or a custom soil blend I’ve been developing for auto flowers. It should be nice to see how a commercial soil compares to a homemade organic soil tailored for auto flowers. I’ll most likely run that experiment within a month or so once I get my new grow space setup. This week I’m going to lay off the nutrients and feed with some compost teas and microbes instead. In the video you can see my smaller brewing bucket. This is a mini-Microbulator along with an air stone. This allows for maximum dissolved oxygen saturation and also helps with preventing anaerobic spots in the brew. Set up a new space for future grows. Started flushing and increased water to 6l per plant. I think I may be harvesting next week some time. Plants are still looking great. I have the top colas tied outward to make sort of a bowl so the distance is between 16-24 inches from all the colas to the light. I should have done this from the start and it probably would have made larger buds.
