A proper defoliation, and yes — we went deep. • Removed fan leaves with long stems • Opened internal structure • Cleared pathways for light and airflow Why now and not before? February 2, 2021 (Week 4, Day 29): The plants grew enough overnight to top at the third node. This is the second and last time I'll be topping these plants - this is the Nebula method of manifolding. I also took off the second node of each growth stem as well as the original fan leaves. I've pressed them in my plant press to save the memories of my experience with my first grow. I also redid the LST on every plant. The new growth sites I've pinned to the fan leaves. I really enjoy doing LST, it's quite therapeutic to figure out just how to support the plant without harming it. I think I am getting great lateral growth so far. The main growth stems are swelling a lot at the bases. Medium is still wet from yesterday - lightly tilled about a half inch of top soil. I've turned down the humidity another 5% this week. I'll keep it there most likely until I start the flowering cycle. Averaging 60% rH and 78℉. Plants are happy, and I am happy. 😸 February 3, 2021 (Week 4, Day 30): Plants are looking good this morning. The nitrogen toxicity in Unknown 2 is beginning to subside. Now Unknown 1 seems to be having a nitrogen toxicity as well - slight leaf curling at the ends with a very lush and dark green color. I am assuming this soil is still very hot. As I've lowered the humidity I suspect more nutrients are being sucked in through the roots instead of transpiration through the leaves. I think the plants are going to take a little bit to get used to the hot soil, but I bet once they do they'll be as happy as ever. Medium is still slightly moist this morning, no watering. I tilled a half inch of top soil again to keep everything aerated. Most likely will water tomorrow or the next day. My LST seems to be holding nicely. I tied down Unknown 2's first growth tips as the fan leaves have finally straightened out after the topping yesterday. New growth tips are emerging nicely from the third node of each lateral stem. Averaging 60% rH and 77℉. Nothing else to report for today. February 4, 2021 (Week 4, Day 31) : Growth looks good overnight. I think this second topping is confusing the plants a bit. Lots of bulking of the stems, but not much lateral growth. I have a feeling they'll take off over the next few days. They're still growing really well. I posted a grow question last night having to do with little white bead-like structures growing on the surfaces of the leaves on every plant. I was concerned it may be a mold or fungus starting to grow. I did a bunch of research and it seems to be early trichome development called "sessile glands". I still have the question open and I am trying to get confirmation. Really hoping if they're trichomes that's a good sign that these plants are going to be frosty. I uploaded some pictures to show the development. Over night they started to grow everywhere on the leaves - hopefully they really are just trichomes and I am being over-vigilant. Better safe than sorry. I watered the plants today without nutrients; 3 liters per plant pH'd to 5.8. Runoff sitting at ~6.5 pH now which is much better. I'll continue to run 5.8 pH solution until I see the pH of the soil come down to at least 6.2-6.3. Tomorrow I'll most likely have to defoliate a bit and tie down the second sets of growth stems, as they're beginning to stretch and grow vertically. Averaging 60% rH and 76℉. Happy growing all! 😸 February 5, 2021 (Week 4, Day 32): The plants are exploding with growth now. I defoliated the fan leaves from the first node on every plant and tied down the growth stem for lateral growth. These plants are meaty as hell. The stems are thickening really quickly and I am getting tons of foliage and stem growth. The third nodes are starting to come around. I think I figured out the "mold" issue I thought was starting. They're definitely trichomes, not mold. I touched the leaves that were sparkling and my fingertips got sticky, oily, and reeked of weed - so that's great news. The smell in my grow room is getting stronger every day. While defoliating this morning I found my first pre-flowers on Gelato 1! It looks like all the plants are female, but Gelato 1 threw some pretty pistils at me to get my attention. Seems like the plants are reaching maturity. Depending on growth over the next few weeks it may be time to switch to flower soon! I am aiming for about 16" in veg before switching. Seeing these pre-flowers made me so anxious for flowering. Unknown 1 and Unknown 2 are doing great as well - all the signs of the nitrogen toxicity have subsided. Unknown 2 has more trichomes on the leaves than any of the other plants, and its foliage is a beautiful deep green. They are either different phenotypes or different strains entirely as the two of them are growing and looking quite different. Unknown 1 is much lankier so I suspect a different strain. Unknown 2 is especially squat and I suspect it's 100% indica or close to it. Medium is still wet. Averaging 60% rH and 77℉. No other news today. February 6, 2021 (Week 4, Day 33): Last 24 hours I have seen at least an inch of lateral growth per growth stem on each plant. These girls are absolutely loving life from the looks of it, they're growing incredibly fast. I redid a bunch of LST today. Had to move every tie up one node. Medium is still moist. Lightly tilled half inch of top soil. Gelato 1 is shooting out more pre-flowers. Thanks to my wife we have new friends that have joined us in the smart pots. 😸 Averaging 60% rH and 75℉. Happy weekend everyone! February 7, 2021 (Week 4, Day 34): These girls are chugging right along. Tons of great lateral growth every 24 hours at this point. Having to adjust LST pretty much every morning to accommodate for the crazy growth. Gelato 1 is a freak of nature - the fan leaves are gigantic. Defoliated again today; took the fan leaves from the third node of each plant. Will be defoliating the first node of the secondary growth stems tomorrow most likely. Medium is slightly moist. Tilled the soil again. Will be watering tomorrow morning most likely. There's still a little dropping at the ends of the leaves so I will hold off on nutrients until all nitrogen toxicity has subsided. Averaging 60% rH and 77℉. Nothing else for today. February 8, 2021 (Week 4, Day 35): Watered today with 3 liters of 5.8 pH filtered water per plant (no nutrients) - runoff around ~6.7-6.8 pH. Will most likely resume nutrients upon next feeding depending on how the plants look. Defoliated entire first node from center four growth stems and tied down third nodes. Readjusted outside LST. The plants are almost to the outside of the pot which is when I'll switch to vertical growth. Unknown 1 is very close to being let loose, it's also pre-flowering now. Gelato 1 is now covered in pre-flowers - it's definitely a happy plant. Unknown 2 is still the runt of the group but also appears to be almost 100% indica by how stout it is. It's showing sex but no pistils yet. All three plants seem to responding well to mainlining and the stress isn't making them skip a beat. Stems are getting huge. I downloaded an app on my phone to check how well my lights are doing and, if the readings are accurate, I am very impressed with these lights. I've read cannabis can handle around ~65 DLI, so I am right where I need to be. Averaging 60% rH and 78℉. That ends week 4 of veg. Time is flying. Hoping to switch to flower in two weeks for a total of six weeks in veg. Getting super stoked to switch over! Happy growing everyone! 👽

The Slurricane IX is a beast of a plant to grow, the growth is quick and quite bushy. I would advise to train these plants SCROG..or something.. the stretch is just crazy..im gona say prepare for a 200% + stretch. Thy will easily get out of of control if not managed well. Pest resistance is good, i did not have any bug problems, but i did have a small WPM issue, but it was very crowded in there. Sorted it out by defoliation and a treatment of hydrogen peroxide took care of the problem. Very thirsty plants, at there peak, 9 plants was drinking 110L a week. Very stong smelling plants. Extremely dense flowers covered in a sluricane of trichomes. Harvest of the plant is quite easy, not a very bushy cola..so its a easy trim. Overall a great genetic to grow and a beautiful plants in itself. @InHouseGenetics .. superb. Thank you guys so much for giving us the privilege to grow such amazing genetics. Keep up the great work. too much nitrogen properties the reason for this strong concentrated fertilizers in consequence of which you get these dark green shades. I think that constant ventilation the stems become very strong and therefore, they do not lend themselves to tucking

Hey guys! Here we are in Week 9, and honestly, nothing major to report. The plant’s doing fine — my main focus is still on pH stability. I feel like the coco is finally buffering around 5.9 – 6.0, which is exactly what I’ve been aiming for. I’m keeping a close eye on it. On the nutrient side, I’m sticking with the Athena base. I did add some Balance to the mix. Just to explain: I actually push the pH way higher than usual at first — up to about 7.4 — before adding the Athena nutrients. Once everything is mixed, it drops down to around 6.3, and then with just a drop or two of pH Down, I dial it back to 6.0–6.1. Right now, in the saucer I’m reading about 5.9–6.1, and the reservoir is showing about the same. So it looks like the buffer is finally kicking in. Structurally, I topped the plant and now I’ve got four nice apexes that I’ll train slowly over the next weeks. After the defoliation, I’m letting her recover and put some energy back into growth. Next week, I might start adding a little Rhino Skin (Advanced Nutrients) to help strengthen the stems and give her a more solid structure. But no rush — we’ll see how she goes. For now, EC is steady around 1.4–1.5, which is enough. I’ll bump it up later as needed. That’s it for this week — keeping the pH steady, letting her recover from topping, and just being patient. All looking good. Banana #1 is starting to put on more weight. #2 and Haze nodes are coming closer together. The smell is intense. All 3 got ph water as needed about 4.5 liters until runoff.

Week 5 - Day 39 - 20/03/20 Coming along well, grown 12/13 inches since last week. Plants hit 28" to 31". I tied down the plants and spread open the centre of each pot, as you'll see from images, flowering well. No issues, no problems with nutes l, recovered well from a light flushing,. Doing a 4ltr feed per pot every 2 days, however I'm only feeding nutes once a week, followed by straight water feed. Sticking to pH.6.3 ;) It's beginning to hum, let's see what's happens next Day 42. Some plants showed signs of nitrogen deficiency. Push more nutes more frequently rather than a single nute feed a week. Watering plants 4lrs a pot to ensure there's some run off. Feeding once every 2 days.

NOTES: Keeping pH at 5,8-5,9 through the entire Vegetation-phase. EC is now around 1,2 and i'm increasing it if needed. I'll be checking the levels regularly from this week since all of the hydroponic systems are now running. I'm going to add some ice cubes in to the nutrient tanks to cool nutrient solution a bit always when I remember to, even though temperatures haven't been an issue so far. Can't do any harm so why not I quess. I'm also adding a CO2-bag in to the tent above the plants. Also I'll begin training my plants this week by topping them. Day 22 (8.11.) Lights are set to 70%, water pumps are now on for 24/7 (EBB's drain water is on lowest setting possible to avoid drowning the roots) and pH is 5,8-5,9 / EC 1,2-1,3 on every hydroponic system. I topped all of my plants and cut off all of the lowest leafs with single tips and some of the small nodes starting from them. Day 23 (9.11.) pH-level keeps on raising so I'm gonna be measuring it pretty often. I'm correcting it by adding some pH- while filling up the nutrient tanks with small amounts of fresh nutrient solution at a time. Everything's going well and I can't wait to flower these! Day 24 (10.11.) Lights are now set to 80% power at 70-75cm height from the tops. I cut off the rest of the lowest nodes which I had left to some of the plants while topping them. I don't think they would get enough light when they are bigger. Day 25 (11.11.) Removed the lowest (three-pointed) leafs of each plant. Day 26 (12.11.) I moved the Led's a bit higher (now at ~90cm above plants) and set them up to full power. Plants are now around 11-14cm height and growing like crazy! Day 27 (13.11.) The growing has exploded and these plants are getting bigger and bigger. I'm going to defoliate them lightly and remove the lowest nodes so the plants have around 6 nodes each going forward, hopefully I'll get an even canopy. Day 28 (14.11.) I changed new nutrient solution in to the EBB-flood system which has the Ayahuasca's on it. I'm keeping the EC at around 1,3-1,4 and pH at 5,8-5,9 on every system. Also added small amount of Cal-Mag in to both NFTs.

Nov 16th: Day 52. SPIDER MITES! Chopped a leaf that was inside the plant getting no light and little airflow. Noticed a couple little dots on the leaf so checked the back with my loupe and seen spider mites and eggs... RECOVERY ATTEMPT: Lowering room temperature and increasing humidity slightly to around 45%. For the last few days it's been at 40% all the time due to the 0 degree weather outside! Spraying and wiping down affected leaves with this organic spray: https://mygoodgreen.com/collections/all-products/products/ferminator-organic-plant-wash Also sprayed Neem Oil on some leaves Nov 19th: Day 55. Keeping track of how many mites I find on each plant everyday to make sure they're going away.

Day 63 : These girls are continuing their quest for glory and still popping pistils. #1 In her organic soil looks the most potent up close and her main stem is so fat now. I tried to reposition it a little and lost the battle as it could arm wrestle a Gorilla !!. I amended her pot today with some charge(200ml/10L) in her water along with the other LOS girls and a top dress with "life cycle" (30ml) . I think another week at least for her so she could use the boosts. #2 Is also looking potent and smells amazing like her sister up close. she is a very thirsty girl and uses all her nutes within a day to a lighter pot slightly every feed. She has been fed with just the shogun sumo boost (20ml) , dragon force (40ml) to 10L water to compare with her MC fed sister. her height is held down with lst but if I grew this strain again , I would not train it flat but manage it as natural as possible. #3 is the reason I say this. As she had looked a little different in size and colour , I allowed her to grow untrained. She is still completely different to the others but from talking to a member here , there are about 9 different ones. wow. She smells identical but her buds look so different to her sisters from different Misters. She is being fed with Mc (10g) , sumo boost (10ml), pk warrior (6ml) , calmag(10ml) and silica (10ml) to 10L water. She is loving life and packing her weight on now. i think she may finish a bit after her step-sisters but I expect a few more weeks possibly. Keep it green Growmies
