She grew some nice flowers on her. Nice purple colors with a line green. Has the musky Gorilla smell with a earthy zing. Looks very good. I am eager to try her. Sep 6: Lemon Cream Kush is shaping up nicely. Buds are starting to thicken up and get frosty. Might be a bit of a P deficiency going on but I dont want to over fertilize this late in the grow. Sep 7: one last round of malted barley and Power Bloom. Leaves seemed a bit too blue indicating P deficiency so another round of bloom nutes were applied.. Sep 12: don’t take flash pics of your plants unless you follow it up with a far red (730 nm) light to put the plant solidly into dark mode. Otherwise there is an increased risk of hermies.

I’ve started giving them some silica blast. They seem to be reacting pretty well to it. What do y’all think?

What a beautiful strain Orange Hill Special is, nice and bushy, great internodal spacing, sturdy and healthy. Happier and happier with how this grow is going. The less beautiful parts on top are my doing, my blind as a bat FIM destroyed half the top of the plant. More patience next time... The super soil is still performing great and I´m pushing up the dimmer to get the ladies used to more light, very carefully because leaves are folding every time. Some of you might be happy to find my European recipe/shopping list for super soil. I tried to make it with widely offered products throughout Europe. Feel free to use it and elaborate on it. If one product is not available in your country, please check the brands at the bottom, which might be available in your country, and substitute. The only thing one could add to the recipe (which I did but forgot in the shopping list) is some Epsom salt. Fed them again with my permaculture tea, all seem to flourish and smells are starting to come from the plant, with that same distinct dankiness I had in earlier grows with this tea. See the germination page and other diaries for more info on my Perma tea. Now they were big enough, some might even say too big, to start the real training. I always love to give them a little bend the week before, to get used to the idea. With some sterilized bamboo sticks I pushed the plants down to expose their sexy undersides. FBA2501-week 1 of Veg This week has been wild. Once the roots made a foundation the upper growth has been explosive the last few days. Really cool to watch and see the daily growth. I introduce calmag and grow nutrients this week starting at a 1/4 strength. All in all they've responded well showing no burn what so ever. Happy

7/4 - When I came into the tent this morning all the Jacks were praying! Even my little Struggling Jack (who is looking great). I have to believe it was the worms. I did nothing else. I watered all with Trinity and RO Water. JH2 has nearly completely recovered from her deficiencies. Her leaves look great. Very little sign of any of the previous damage. 7/6 - I'm amazed at how well JH2 is doing! I had to take a little video to show how well she has recovered. She has nearly no visible damage left to her leaves. She is very green and looks happy. The other two have completely recovered, but they were no where near as bad as JH2 was. I watered them today with just RO water, CalMag, and Extreme Serene as they will get fed tomorrow. I also did a foliar spray of the Extreme Serene on all. 7/9 - Watered with RO water and Molasses today. The Jack Herers look super healthy and happy, even the one that was struggling. I left one of the Jack o'natural. I didn't top her or do any real LST because she had some deficiencies at the time and I didn't want to stunt her even further. Now that she's healthy, it's too late. I'm flipping them to flower next week and that's just not enough time for her to recover. So, I thought I would leave her as is and see how she turns out in her natural, Xmas tree shape!

Do not pay attention to the temperature on the thermometer in the middle, it lies by a couple of degrees. I have a good thermometer on top of the box that shows the temperature. Day 29: After a terrible fracture, we see that the plant is beginning to recover. I'm honestly disappointed because it makes it very difficult for me to train mainlining and it will also increase the amount of time it takes to grow. Day 30: It looks much better already, I could superprune the right branch, but I don't want to stress it. I will try to bend the right branch harder, I will bend the left one a little in the morning the next day, maybe early. Day 31: This morning I cut the lower leaves, photo in the evening and continued the LST training after the injury. Photo in the evening. Day 32: I am completely sure that the plant has moved away from the stress, but we can see on the left circle, the right bud (and side) slowed growth. Day 34: I saw traces of salt on the tips of the new leaves, so now I pour water with regular 15 PPM.

I took this video in the 6th week of flowering. I only used the fertilizer once in the second week of flowering 3g/L.

Day 77 - Look how frosty she got this week! Gorgeous! If you touch her she smells of icing sugar 😍

********** Week 2 of flower - Sept 26 to Oct 2/20 *********** It has been an exciting week with finding a crack in a main stem and started new supplemental nutrients as well. On Sept 28 I found a crack and had to do some repairs. Gorilla Girl was better off than one of the Cream 47’s with a cracked stem. GG4 was caught early enough that she didn’t separate much at the base. Looks to be as though I have caused the issue by topping the main stem a little too low😢 Coming back though and when tied together and looked after, its crazy how these plants can heal themselves😀💪👍 Took the tips from fellow growers and decided to try and fabric something with some cushion so that the straps holding the branches together don't cut into the branches. Needed another tool of the trade.......DYNAVAP to calm the nerves😀 because the grow has been going well and this set back has me pissed off as it is grower error😡 Seems to have worked out pretty well. Switching the PK booster at the end of the week to Big Bud and started to add Rezin from Green Planet. Not much for Bud Factor X left so will run with Terpinator and Rezin as a replcement. 2nd layer of SCROG netting added early in the week, Sept 27/20. They are pushing out a good amount of leaves now and stretching so need to provide that added support for down the road. IPM spray again this week, last opportunity, with Plant Therapy. There has been something in the tent and I think I have killed them. One more shot though to make sure and before there are too many bud sites. Love this product!!!!!! Works so well at getting rid of thrips and mites. Really good growth this week. I need these girls to stop now though!!!!! They getting really tall and have roughly 12” above the canopy now. The node stacking is really good and they are forming a number of colas. Looking very positive so far! This strain is so vigorous and she just want to go👍 They have gone from 18” tall to 34” in a week......crazy good growth. Little more detail........ Sept 26/20, Day 8 - Little heavier feed as they have not been watered for two days - 4L - CalMag @ 2ml, Sensi Bloom, B52, Bud Candy, Bud Ignitor @ 1ml - 830ppm and 5.7pH - will start to let the pH rise bit now over next couple of weeks - side branching doing very well and coming up. - GG4 a little bare in the middle of the plant with just four colas. Sept 27/20, Day 9 - 2nd SCROG layer added. - GG colas getting long........need to add more Silica as well. Sept 28/20, Day 10 - more microbes today - 4 L - Microbial Mass @ 1.5ml, CalMag @ 1ml - 290ppm and 6.3pH - pH was a little high but left it...wasn't moving and then boom,,,,,,,oh well. - Good amount of runoff today. - GG4 has one cola leaves not happy. Not sure if its light or wind. Moved the closest fan to her today. - GG1 shooting lots of branches right now. - GG4 bud stacking is happening already and doing very well. Sept 30/20, Day 12 - Heavier feeding today - 5L - CalMag, Vitathrive, Rezin @ 2ml Rhino Skin, Bud Candy, B52, Sensi Bloom @ 1ml. - repaired the cracked stem a little better tonight......not as bad for this girl. - Try and keep the paper towels wet now so the humidity is high around the wound. - Should have left a little more branch from the node above when cutting the top. Oct 1/20, Day 13 - Switching PK booster today to Big Bud......these two girls are past bud ignitor.....already stacking. - 3L - CalMag, Sensi Bloom, B52, Bud Candy, Big Bud @ 1ml - 665ppm and 5.9pH - Since these girls are so tall I am not going to give them Green Planet Massive. I find they get quite a bit taller with that product. I am looking for chunky and not tall so I will keep up with Advanced PK boost. - IPM spray tonight again with Plant Therapy. Think I have seen some bug damage on Cream 47 girls. That takes us to the end of week 11 in growth and week 2 of flower. Time will go quick now that we are off and running. Will be done feeding by early week 7. Want a good flush and leeching on these girls to get all the nutes out. I have been missing it by a few days on the last few auto runs and want this photo run to be better as I have a better track of weeks and when she will be done..........should be the end of week 9 to first days of week 10 of flower, about 7 more weeks. She is in a 2 litre airpot for a while.

I struggled with this plant the whole grow cycle. She still came out alright in my opinion. She did foxtail due to heat. For a first photoperiod grow in DWC I did good in my opinion. Learned a lot more, and been applying those techniques now. She grew under a Spider Farmer SE5000 light in a New Level Hydro bucket. I used hygrozyme during grow.
