I started germination of 2 Moon Walker kush beans on 29/12/2020. I pre moistened my rockwool cubes with ph balanced water to 6.4. Made sure the plugs were just damp and not soaked. Using a small wooden dowel I increased the size of the plugs pre made holes. Than I sowed my beans into the holes. Ripped off a small piece of rockwool and mulched it up.h Lightly filled the holes in with the mulched rockwool. Than stuck the plugs into a misted humidity dome, to complete germination. Shouldn't take anymore than 4-5 days to see some sprouts. Once I see some cotlydon leaves bursting to the surface. I will get the plugs planted into some 1 gallon pots. Plus get these ladies situated into their home. Cant wait! Some background information on my first run with MWK. She gets very branchy fast and absolutely loves lst. Responded everytime with a vigorous growth spurt after training sessions. Very easy going on nutrients and didnt have any different needs outside my normal feeding schedule. Super tight compact colas in definite need of increased air flow and movement. Ended up having the fans turned up much higher in the room she was in because of the shear mass and density. Super trichome production outta these genetics. One of the frostiest strains I've grown to date. Just diamonds!!! Amped for this second run.

Day 38 - they are still alive ? interestingly keep these mazar seedlings still alive in seedling stage... going to setup a little dwc project, see what happens... Day 39 - decided to build 7.5L DIY DWC 's ...... 👍😎

This week didn‘t started really well. There were big rainfalls all over germany but especially in my region. I had the plants in the greenhouse so they were safe but after days of rain the water started to drip into the greenhouse. I tried to keep the plants in dry spots but just saw that one of my plants had mold in her flowers. I immediately cut the piece with mold off to keep the rest of the plant safe. As I removed the leaves from the buds I carefully looked all over the buds and cut the mold and the area around it off. I also cut all the buds off the stem and will dry them seperated from each other and not hanging on the stem like last time. This way the risk of another mold infection after the harvest is lower. The next bad news is that the Painkiller looked really sad. Lower leaves were turning yellow or white and the leaves were hanging down. I decided to remove some big fan leaves and to cut off the yellow and white small leaves. Then I watered her good and gave her some self made nutrients out of nettles. In the evening the plant already stood straight again and looked good!

Week 8 is complete for the gorilla gas. All 3 plants are finishing up and have started their flushing phase with the advanced nutrients flawless finish. Each plant has its own characteristics and aromas which is pretty neat. I should have a nice size harvest of this strain. The skunk and piney smell isn't my favorite aroma but it is pungent that's for sure. If your looking to grow a plant that's inconspicuous then this isn't the one for you. Very easy to grow plant overall just think it could have used a little more nutrients during the flower stage but that's what learnings all about. Happy with the grow overall. Thanks for following!!

Week 5 starts Monday...

10 September Harvest - see pictures. While some growers leave the plant whole when they cut, I do not. It is a personal preference and situational convenience if your a home grower. I chose to cut large, long branches, and remove any whole water leaves, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the bud formation. I don’t trim yet. This is done for a few of reasons: 1) It’s my last good close-up look at her until another 5 days or more, 2) I don’t want wet leaves drying on my buds if I can help it, and 3) I occasionally like being able to shine a small LED flashlight on the flowers while its drying. Mold is our greatest problem as growers, it can destroy a beautiful grow right up until the end process. Then I hang it in a dark closet, provide circulation and ventilation. Light and heat, anything above 80 degrees F, will start a break down in cannabinoids during the dry, it is ideal to stay away from both. I’m fortunate that a humidity level of 50- 55% and temperature of 65-70 degrees F is fairly consistent and easy to maintain. Anything below 60 degree F will prevent the adequate drying out of chlorophyll. Almost all my flower routinely take 5-7 days, some a little longer, to properly dry out. 15 September Trim - see pictures. First you’ll notice the buds have shrunk up to half their original size. This is just a fact that we growers have to deal with. Due to evaporation without uptake of water, it takes about 3 days for the chlorophyll to dry up, then slowly go through a chemical change. Along with the leaves, cannabinoids also begin a chemical change after 3 days called decarboxylation. A slow process where the THC level increases while curing. You want the leaf to be dry so they can be hand trimmed easily, but you do not want that bud so dry that it starts to fall apart in your hand. Try to handle carefully by the main stem to avoid touching the bud all together. A lot of these cut leaves will be covered with trichomes, good for making oils, or other products, it’s an option worth looking into keeping it. After trimming, I do separate a few premium flowers for my first smoq. Then loosely fill wide mouth quart mason jars with about 1 oz/28 gr of product per jar. I seal the lids for a few hours to determine what relative humidity they are at, see hygrometer pic, before making a decision to put in a 62% humidity control pack of my choice or to wait, then place in secure in a cool dark place with stable humidity and temperature. It is very important to then observe/burp or exchange the air as needed, up to several times a day, until 62% rh is achieved. Once your close to to your mark, put in your desired RH level control terpene shield. If you have a problem getting there: 1) it has dried out too much, no real solution, try to put several large cut stems left over from harvest into the jars with the buds to try and increase humidty, 2) it has not dried out enough, in this case no problem, just remove and dry out a little more. This is also a personal choice, some people like it drier in the 50% plus range. Whatever you do, research and preserve. At that time burping is no longer required. Cannabis will reach its peak potency potential at about 40 or so days into the cure. The finished product should be a perfect grind when cured correctly without clogging up your grinder, this could take a month. Now that I’ve said that, I’m sure someone has grown something that they have not been able to grind. It can remain in this state for an easy 6 months with little change, locking in all the terpenes and potencies. All you need to do is occasionally check the product to ensure there are no molds. If your grow/harvest/cure techniques are good this should not be an issue. It would not be uncommon to find many cannabis strains will last, with small degradable change, for up to one year after being stored this way. Using an airtight glass container, controlled relative humidity, maintained low temperature, and kept in darkness will equal maximum shelf life. Always avoid direct sunlight and temperatures above 80 degrees F. The reasons I’ve ultimately chosen Deep Water Culture as a grow medium. Each has their own pros and cons indeed. I found the most efficient, less maintenance and ideal solution for my situation was DWC. Burdens to overcome depend on size up set-up; initial equipment cost, size of containers, ph monitors, air pumps, type of water to use-reverse osmosis, RO cost/set-up/maintenance, ways to transfer/change water and nutrients, what nutrients to use and schedules, takes several grows to learn and understand, a 1 year learning curv, easy to nutrient burn. The Benefits of growing in water; no dirt, no bugs, no diseases, rare nutrient deficiencies/toxicities, steady and rapid growth that enables the plant to reach its genetic potential. After harvest, there is about a 1 hour equipment cleanup, sterilization and turn around process before replanting. Cannabis will perform in so many different ways and mediums, no one way is the best and the best way is the one you are using, right. Chose what works for you in the long run. There will always be an initial cost in set-up. My advice if one were in need to cut corners, I would not recommend cheap lights. This single factor is the most critical, afford for the best. The notion that organic and water has a different taste, flavor and potency effect is absolutely debatable. The more we learn the better we grow and experience is always the best teacher. This is what works for me and my methods of growing in general from beginning to end. A BIG “Thank You” to everyone who stopped by to take a look. Hi Growmies. Another week done at day 24 flowering. They seem to have finished their stretch period and all have the 1st flush of dress flowering pistils at their growing tips. I am now feeding at a flowering strength feed with additional shogun additives too. I am very pleased with their progress and final foundation foe the flowering stage. The height is a very reasonable 18 inches to the canopy top which has levelled out very well so far. I did have to do a little bending and twisting as they settled into the shapes but it has been very easy to work with them so far . Bruce Banner#3 has really put put some growth among the branches and will really need to be defoliated to make sure that the air can get around this big lady and avoid any risks of "dead air" or warm pockets. She has a great frame to build her buds onto and some nice thick stems to support the possible chunks. The node spacing is a medium to long but hopefully they will join up where they can over the next 7-8 weeks. Candy Rain. Her quad training has been productive and I didn't need to really do too much beside hold the two higher branches back a little. she should be a nice open branched , baseball batted cola beast at her final week.. Jealousy #1 and #2 have really been busy with their flower sets and have so much growth going off beneath those huge leafed frames. The leaf sizes are brilliant for harvesting all the available light during veg and i will be sad to defoliate them both at day 21 F. They are so productive that a good lollipopping mat also be called for with the lower growth not really getting enough light to be worth the energy sharing. I can see how these ladies would be huge in an outdoor grow bit also in a bigger indoor space too. I am sonimoress2d with the health and vigour of all of these ladies but seeing how well the #2 Jealousy has caught up and surpassed her sisters has been a shocker. she has some very big fan leaves and nice chunky stems to hold them expected colas too. 📆 Week 14, 11 - 17 April 2024 11 April - Cut off all yellowing leaves. Reduced light power to 50%. Began the Flush. 12-13 April - Flushed plant. 14 April - Harvested plant and hung in closet for drying. 15-17 April - Continued to hang in closet for drying. 📑 I decided to trim this plant before hanging because of its size, and having the time to dedicate to it. Either way it would have been sticky. It will hang it for 7-10 days in a somewhat climate controlled closet with a RH 60% and temperature of 65 degrees F using a small fan for circulation. Then it will be cut and placed into 1 quart mason jars with Boveda 62% TerpShield, and burped daily until a RH of 62% is maintained for long term storage. Overall Grow Review: With all environmental conditions staying within ideal throughout the grow, I am impressed with the size of these buds and resin production. But she was not on the bigger side of the auto family varieties as far as yield. I contribute this to size of the plant. The breeder claims a height of 100 centimeters, where this plant only achieved about 75. Time of harvest from seed the breeder claims 65-70 days. I did have to add an additional week of flowering to get her matured due to the higher sativa genetics, but that was expected. The time of this harvest was 94 days (42 veg, 52 flower). Would I grow it again? Absolutely! As with any autoflower I’ve grown in hydroponics, they have taken this long, under these conditions, without any major manipulation - seed to harvest just over 90 days. The only major differences are size of plant, and type of bud - not time to grow and properly mature. I did not get the wet bud weight. I still can’t understand the reason for this number, it is the most irrelevant thing to add in this process because it just doesn’t matter. My opinion. Smoq Review: She has a nice profile of terps and the taste doesn’t leave your mouth dry. The high is very pleasant and makes you feel energetic and talkative, leading into an evening of good times. There is not a lot to say when the it’s the right one for anytime, recreational or medicinal, it’s definitely a depression eliminator! 🍶 11 April nutrient changed to RO water 💧 Using reverse osmosis water with EC/TDS at 0 🔆 Light power at 50%, DLI 40-45 canopy coverage at 12hrs 😤 Using PYPABL, Air Pump, 400GPH That is it for this grow. I have had a very nice journey growing her, she has given a great quality and quantity pf buds, very hard dense flowrs with a clasic strong amnesia smell that I enjoy a lot specially for the happy energetic buzz that provides you.

Very enjoyable grow, awesome cultivar, this is what I work for, my nuggets have been grown with love and dedication and the final result is a a plant that has been very thankful and she has provided me amazing sticky flower with those red hairs that I love so much, very strong cerebral buzz, sativa high definitely, makes me remember a lot sour diesel, definitely super pungent loud 🔊 aroma coming from the jars but she was stinking the grow tent when she was there, amazing strain!
