So here we are day 24 in bloom! My new girls have started to climb above this beauty now and are off their raises and I feel I may have to start raising this one if they continue to stretch any more! As I have to keep the light at 18” running through my tests of the light! Because I did 12” last grow and ran into light intensity problems and as of yet am I to experience any problems and I hope I literally make it through without any 😊 she’s all organic too which is a treat when it comes to flushing! I do flush for 2 weeks when the pistols turn 60-70% orange! Seems to be the perfect time I’ve been used to and worked! Then I look at the trichromes for perfect harvest! Just know she smells so good already just open the tent and smell her sweet grapefruit terps coming through strong! And her flowers and going to be huge as I’m not yet half way through and look at the growth! I do prefer growing organic and am transitioning towards growing fully organic! All I know is this Zamnesia stuff is incredible! Along side bionova! It’s simple and productive!

I’m not too happy with the rate of growth but I knew I would be as I didn’t put dynomyco in (purposely) I’ve been feeding every 2 weeks (top feed) with Phyco myco (started last feed) and am seeing some beneficial changes! But will see in time just how much! I was 1” ahead last time and 10” ahead the time before that! So will be running the organic fertiliser next time with dynomyco and just feeding water and seeing the outcome of that! Autos are my testing ground now! As I know exactly what to do with photos! 😉 plus I feel I wasn’t to go back to 19-5 or even 18-6

The lighting intensity is at 833 PPFD, and the solution in the reservoir is fine-tuned to a pH of 6.22, EC of 475, with a temp of 21.8°C. Let’s talk pH in the reservoir: it’s a dynamic process, and I’m constantly adjusting it to keep everything at the right level. The pH tends to rise throughout the week, and each day, I work it back down, fine-tuning it to keep those plants happy and balanced. Managing pH is truly a hands-on job, and it’s worth every moment. I love staying on top of it for optimal nutrient uptake—it’s all about consistent effort and keeping that perfect range dialed in. Leaf Maintenance & Selective Defoliation These leaves are HUGE and gorgeous, creating a lush canopy that’s nearly too perfect! I’ve been taking a few leaves here and there, focusing on leaves that may be blocking light from reaching lower parts of the plant. Selective defoliation at this stage is key because it opens up airflow and allows light to penetrate deep, boosting energy distribution across the whole plant. Big, healthy leaves mean we’re getting excellent photosynthesis, but a gentle, strategic defoliation can guide that energy toward those developing buds. Week 16 Journal Update: Northern Lights Autoflower Sisters * Setup and Environment: Both Charlotte and Michaela are resting comfortably in their 10-gallon fabric bags, elevated off the deck surface on sturdy PVC risers. * Charlotte's Growth Style & Harvest Timeline: Growing as a distinct, tall vertical Christmas tree tower without a SCROG net or topping, Charlotte has reached peak maturity. With her trichomes showing heavy cloudiness alongside a strong mix of amber heads and ripening, complex aromas filling the air, she is scheduled to be harvested by Friday. * Michaela's Growth Style & Harvest Timeline: Featuring a low-profile, naturally structured form without topping or a SCROG net, Michaela is trailing slightly behind her sister in finishing up. Her trichomes are predominantly milky-white with developing amber, and her distinct ripening scent is continuing to build. She is slated to be harvested roughly two weeks after Charlotte. 5-24-20: Shes getting fat! Getting close to harvest. Leafs are starting to fade to yellow. Shes getting more and more stinky and stickier by the day. Good covering of trichomes and buds aren't to airy looking. Pistils are nice and amber with a few white ones still lingering around. Looks like the lower buds are maturing at the same rate as the top, so im sure i will be able to harvest all at once. Only the trichomes will tell.

This is the third monday. The girls still look healthy, I gave blooming nutrients for the first time as the schedule suggested. The Attack of Gnats: Inside the tent there is a huge fan, which was unstable, if I tilted it too much, so I put a 20litre soil bag (with some cheap shitty soil for decorative flowers) at the base of it to make it solid. As the tent started to warm up, the soil was warm ask well. After a couple of days some gnats mysteriously appeared in the tent. First there were only two, but now there is a whole army. I bought a "special" trap for them, it came in a pear shaped plastic dispenser with some sort of "killer liquid" that will eliminate the enemy. As soon as I opened the little container with the liquid my first idea was to smell it. Surprisingly the smell was familiar, and I smelled it before in salads. I asked my girlfriend, and she immediately told me, that this killer liquid is nothing more than Apple Cider Vinegar. I searched google, and I found out, that you can make very effective gnat trap at home by using apple cider vinegar, sugar, and dish soap... This costs you almost nothing, because you can find everything at home. Learning every day.... :) Now there are only a few more gnats left, but I will kill them in the following days. 🙏 Namaste

Went 60 days into flower could have possibly went longer but I felt like it’s where I wanted it to be also just couldn’t wait any longer. Overall great grow a lot of challenges but with the help of this site and my own research I’m happy with the results. I will weigh after drying and trimming

The plants continue to kick ass. New French Macaron and Chem Brulee leaves are all 9-fingered now. Crazy happy plants. Sprayed with light BT spray (trying to avoid any caterpillar issues this year as much as possible) early in the week. Sprayed with light Neem Oil / Castile Soap (no more dawn, no more issues!) late in the week. Today, June 9, I also defoliated a bit. Keep in mind that I don't want to do much this year as far as topping and training, so I've done one simple top on all of the plants, and essentially have created 4 main colas for each plant. I only did this to create some airflow under the plant. I don't plan on doing a lot of this stuff. Gonna let the sunshine do her thing. Even though these girls have some hot-ass super soil in there, I'm still going to be doing some top-dressing. Mixed this up and slathered it on there on Saturday, June 12. ------
