Hello. This is the end of week 7 and the beginning of week 8 of flowering. This is the last week of food for these beautiful girls. I'll be flushing for the last 2 weeks. I find flushing makes the smoke taste less harsh. And curing in paper bags makes the pot taste great. More on that later... You can tell some of the plants are getting near the end of their lives, they are getting more yellow fan leaves, from the plant drawing back nutrients from them. I can see the clones are pollenated and I should have lots of seeds to share ... Want some free seeds? Just do a diary on them and I'll send you some. Give me your choice, send me a message in privet messaging. I use a international stamp and a Christmas card. Sent out 7 orders last year, all over the world. They all arrived. Some took 2 months though. This is the end of book #3 of Weirdo I'll find some other weird comics for the rest of this diary. Hope you like the old comics?? Some are a little strange though. No pest problems yet, and no White Powder Mildew problems yet either. I've got some WPM on some dandelion's leaves just outside of the greenhouse, but none in here yet. Week 5 of flower and seed production for all these plants has started in earnest. We cleaned up the tent somewhat and took down all the males after having done their job. Alls left is to wait for finish now. The nute deficiency appears to have corrected itself now that we’ve balanced out the ratios a little more. The WPM is no match for the sodium bicarbonate but still gonna have to keep on top of that to the end of the grow. Full fumigation of the grow spaces will be required - multi-day process I am not looking forward to. Time cleaning is time not growing, sadly. We’re coasting to the finish now but should still have some decent updates on our super secret seed harvesting method once they’ve fully matured😉👍. Hope everyone’s well and grow’n that straight 🔥. Background Fingers crossed that these Spicy Bitch regs provide at least one male so that we can back build some stock of it. In the event that does take place we’ve got a single clone of each strain from the previous pollen chuck to sit in the tent with them so they can make babies for the next few months. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. Many thanks to @Exoticseeds for the chance to give these beans a go👍👊. Pollination Strains: Holy Surfer S1 - this is one of the focal points for this cycle. A fellow growmie was kind enough to ship over some S1 genetics I took an interest in. The only ask back was that if I did cross it to send a few his way for testing👍. It’s a compact and squat plant requiring very little maintenance. Typical for the strain really. It’s been chosen as an option to potentially mellow out the high , shorten the stature of the resulting hybrid and inject it with some of that mellow indica effect. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.

Wonderful tangerine smell, all strains are looking and smelling more or less the same, some buds are a bit bigger and some other showed some more stretching when we switched to flower but in general wonderful strain, lets see if the buds taste as good as they smell 😜 Week 4 already! We start to see a small nutrients deficiency, time to add some more organic stuff, i didn't applied too much so it seems it was food for 4 weeks, great as i dont want to give too much nutrients, I heard that organic nutrients gives a better taste and avoid salt accumulation in the roots, i always have been a typical grower using bottles but lets see, at the moment very happy, buds are looking good, i do need to add some sugars I think 🤔

Plants kept growing and didn't die lol were not healthy the whole way through but im yet to have a always healthy 100% no leaves dying off plant. She smokes and smells sooooo good though the bag appeal is there for sure

Had some severe drooping on one side of the plant. It was kind of weird, but most likely nothing. I was under watering quite a bit in an attempt to make sure I didn’t flush out the benes and nutrients of the super soil. Ironically, I might have killed all the benes. Lol. Either way, they’re getting about 2.5 gal every other day now. Growing strong. Untied the LST ties to move them and rearrange the greenhouse. Going to leave them untied. I hate having to water around the ties 😭 Just did another spinosad treatment. Haven’t seen any more thrips since the first treatment 10 or so days ago. Saw a leaf hopper in there though 😡

08/26/2020 2nd week of flowering and temps are down in soil to 68° going to be 56 tonight. Put a video of her sister plant. These girls should go another 8-9weeks but our first frost date is around the 10th of October hope for a warm and dry fall. 08/29/2020 got her tied down, snapped the center branch so I tied her stem upright. Gonna give her one last dose of blood meal (12-0-0)before week 3 starts that should be good for the next 4weeks, and 2 tbls of (4-9-3) so my last feeding will be (16-9-3) for the stretching fingers are crossed🙏

Start of week 3 looking good starting to get frosty fan leaves which has never happened in my soil grows so this is very interesting. Definitely enjoying the ease of this system it's almost annoying how easy it is. And floraflex has been a dream of a fertilizer holds pH very well not chasing the pH constantly. All I do is top off 33% strength nutrient solution once a week, 33% strength silica calmag and hydroguard once a week then top off with just regular pH tap water. Water from my tap is 98 ppm so I'm not worried about getting a ro system.

Week 4 flower now I defoliated her to expose all flowers to the light now i wont tough her let her swell up

Well, I'm disappointed in the progression of this one. Tho I believe the reason for the poor performance is, I installed a ac duct at the front right corner of the 4x4 tent that was hooked up to a control duct that let the ac in when the tent got hot but that ment the cold cold air was coming in right at or near the side of the bucket. The plant was doing good before I put that in. And I added more insulation on the outside of bucket I moved the duct to direct the air away from the bucket but I left it that way for a little while. These hot summer days. So ac has been blowing for sure and the tent tends to heat up without It. But I finally moved it to come in a top duct opening and have the duct come down in the middle of the tent and I have seen a slight improvement in her progression. This week I changed up my nutrient feeding as I figured out that I read the bottle wrong and was not adding enough food. I adjusted the feeding and the girls took off. the girl that I planted a week later than the rest and topped has now passed one of the original that I planted. Since it was my first grow I wasn't sure about topping but the plant the one I topped ended up growing in a much better uniform plant. I have noticed the leaves don't get as big on the topped plant and I really haven't had to defoliate. The plants that I just defoliated are doing well and finally started to get some height.Seeing as I am running out of tent room this is their last week in veg. My 6" vivosun inline fan started to make a horrible noise so I replaced it with an ac infinity much quiter. The vivo sun pushed alot of air and was semi quiet when I first got it but that only lasted two months.

Almost there ...another week closer.... Again not much to report ...the girls are blowing up nicely., getting soild as a rock.... Still dropping down in PPMs..thats the only change for the week.... right on schedule... Until next week, smoke a fatty, help out your fellow grower..

I'm very happy whit this strain. The plant didnt get very tall, i have 8 nice colas which yielded almost 80 g's of dry bud. The smell is very intense. I did tasted some of the buds and high is very good - euphoric and creative. I cant wait to see what happens after some curing in jars.

Amazing harvest 160 dry hard bit bit crunchy buds. Im getting better and better in curing. This is almost one month after harvest and curing at least 3 weeks.
