1/14: This morning, I did a foliar application of big bloom and fulvic acid, then about 5 hours later I watered them with about a half-gallon of rainwater each and added armor si, humic acid, endoboost myco/tricho, liquid molasses, and a bunch of cal-mag. Today, I also I wired up and mounted my new samsung sun board strips (660nm/730nm) and my Solacure FlowerPower UVB fixture. I'm running the deep red/far red bud boosters a few hours per day right now, but will run them for the entire photoperiod once I start flowering them. I'll run the UVB for 4 * 15-minute sessions a day for the full flowering cycle, and if they don't protest too much I'll increase each session by 5 minutes and evaluate again. Some strains are more forgiving than others and I've got 5 different strains in this space...so really not sure much time I'll get away with exposing them to the deadly rays without damaging them too much...😈 1/15: I received one of the rapid led/growmau far red initiator pucks today. With the placement of my UVB light, I'm realizing I'll need another far red puck to have even and intense far red coverage, so I'm ordering another with Prime delivery and waiting to start flowering until I receive it. I sprayed them down really well with ph adjusted rainwater tonight to rinse off nutrient build-up from foliar applications. 1/16: I'm really excited to try flowering under 14/10. I grew photos indoors on an off for 15 years before I semi-retired. If I added up all the additional flowering time I could have done through the years if LED technology existed, I'd have had an extra truckload of bud to smoke. Now we’re talking! The ladies have taken off after a 4 degree raise in temperature. I’ve topped all three of them at the 4th node and. They responded really well with a little shove back. I’ll give them a week and it’ll be time for some LST and a bump in nutes to maximum strength. Hoping to Bush them out and get them to about 30” before I flip the switch so that could be two weeks or a little more. Ps I’m liking these powder floraflex nutrients. Almost zero salt buildup.

Off to the races. I couldn’t get them to start taking up nutrients low and behold a temp change of 4 degrees from 73 to 77 switched it up and now they are doing their thing. I topped one, fimmed on and left the last one alone but they will all receive low stress training about 10 days from now and I will then try to get them to about 30” before flipping the switch.

This week things really seemed to take off! 🔥 Plants were happy all week long and seemed to grow almost an 1” per day if not more. Buds are developing nicely, no smell yet but nice to see them stackin’. I cut out anything under the trellis that would end up being popcorn buds so the plants could focus on the main colas. Hoping I’ll just have to pull a few leaves here and there from now on. The New Floraflex drip system has been nice! 💯 It has made watering easier and more automated. Water distribution isn’t perfect but I’m sure they aren’t 100% level either. Plants should stop stretching after this next week and should start putting on some size! Stoked to see what these girls can do in week 3! Day by day break down: Day 8 Cut out some lower growth/ leaves blocking bud sites Day 9 Fed all 6 plants. PH: 6.11, PPM: 1136 Day 10 Plants look great. Let them do their thing. Day 12 Fed al 6 plants. PH: 6.05, PPM: 1264 Day 14 sitting at 29” tall right now. Not so stressed on height being be issue. The week starts Monday, Jan-13 in flowering stage. The plant is growing thick and fast, with very short node intervals creating a thick canopy. Carried out substantial defoliation of almost all the big fan leaves and a few little stems that were not likely to make it above the canopy. Avoided defoliating the major cola branches. This encourages the plant not to waste resources on a node which is only going to produce “popcorn” buds. The plants reacted well to the defoliation and were looking good by the end of the light cycle for the day. The net is completely full and this will be the last week of applying any LST as part of the ScrOG setup. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 2.5L per day. Lowered the average RH in the space to 50%. ----prior 4 weeks updates ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-06 in flowering stage. The net is filling up nicely with the ScrOG process being enjoyable - just tucking branches nicely under squares once stretched enough. The Indica dominant strain is really shining with incredible dense growth and thick branches that don't bend as easily as it's Sativa neighbour. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Dec-30 in vegetative stage - switching the light regime to flowering. Initiated flowering with an extended dark period prior to switching light regime - this practice is supposed to promote a faster initiation of flowering by the plant. Maintain lights off from Dec-31, 10:00 until Jan 1 - 18:45 allowing a 32hr darkness period prior to switching the light regime. Light regime is set for 12.5/11.5 on/off allowing me a better maintenance window for my living situation. Both plants are growing fast and strong, showing their genetic traits. Some shoots are going through the net already. Have started to tuck branches as they grow to fill up any gaps. Did minor defoliation on both plants near their stem base and centres. Some green algae on roots/coco medium on the surface of the pot. Have defoliated some more which hopefully helps with air circulation at the area. Will monitor over the week - may need to decrease watering frequency, although they seem to be keeping up drinking. Lowered the High Humidity setting of the extraction fan to 60% - which effectively keeps it running at least 75% of the time, and removed the humidifier. Will monitor and adjust as necessary lowering the setting to 50% in a few weeks whilst flowering. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Dec-23 in vegetative stage. Installed the ScrOG net - Set at 20cm from the base of the plants, being 55cm from ground. The plant is showing great growth, lots of branching and new growth sprouts. A few branches are beginning to come through the net and almost all main branches are now tied down horizontally after the two recent toppings. Applied more LST and will wait for the branches to reach the net and start tucking. The AC Infinity fan is currently only running intermittently with its current settings. This seems to impact the utilisation and effectiveness of the carbon filter in use. The desired outcome is for the fan to be running for longer periods whilst in Auto config. Lowered the High Level Humidity from 70% to 60%, and more importantly, lowered the Max Speed from 4 to 2 with the intent that a lower fan speed will result in longer periods where the extraction fan is operated to remain below threshold targets for the grow space. Plant growth continues to be strong at the end of the week. Big fan leaves near the top are beginning to look a little serrated and dark, similar to the start of this grow. This may be due to the extra CalMag being added which was the issue at the start of the grow. Will keep monitoring and half the CalMag dosage on next feed. Importantly, I have learnt nutrient mixing of the CalMag should be done prior to the Canna Coco A & B. To date I have done the opposite which may explain my earlier issues. Fertigating daily at the start of the light cycle. Took the ScrOG net out since I had messed up and let the plants get too bushy. Maybe try a full ScrOg next time. This time I think we’ll finish without it. Defoliated a little bit last week and took it slow. Tent smells strong this week when opened, very thankful for the carbon filter in the tent. Hopefully I get better bud development in the coming weeks. Currently watering each plant about 1/2 gallon every 24-36 hours each. Flushing this week then adding new ferts and lowering dosages.

at this week u can compare the stems and bush in the videos, keep in mind this is my first hydro grow and i messed the PPM and PH a few times.. also snapped a whole branch of the hydro plant around week 4. still the hydro plant looks bigger and fatter stem. lol

Now using the perfect PPM worsheet made by Grow Boss.

Buds are slowly starting to fatten up, had another rise in ec runoff which I suspect is because she isn't getting enough feeds per day and salts are building as she takes up water. I'm fixing this by feeding more frequently for 24 hours at a lower ec (1.4) to bring her down to 1.9. Hand watering in coco is not ideal, the next grow will be done on a wilma system to allow for multiple feed per day which should also see even better growth. She's starting to smell great and there is some serious trichome production. Sugar leaves are sticky and the smell as the name suggests is like sweet blood orange soda. Can't wait to see how the buds smell after curing.
