Today was Harvest, Wet-Trim & Hang, we'll have to wait a bit more for dry-weights, flavours & effects. We were given a couple of clones from a family friend to try our hand at a straight, 8-Week Flowering. With both plants in the tent, we were able to really cut out teeth & watch as each plant responded differently. What was instantly surprising during the initial harvest was the drastic difference in overall yield. I'm sure we over trimmed, early on & as a result, Northern Lights came in looking thinner, taller & by comparison, OGPK came in looking a bit shorter, stout, thicker, heavier & much fuller. At the scales, Northern Lights comes in at 106.56 grams (wet), OGPK 76.4 grams (wet). So, that big buffy, thick look certainly didn't tell the tale. We'll have more in a few weeks once we get dry, trimmed weights & hopefully we'll have some flavours & effects to report!

TUESDAY 4/2: I fed her about 1/2 gallon of all the good stuff, and started her on Open Sesame and Tiger Bloom. Increased Terpinator, Bud Candy, and Calimagic, and decreased Grow Big. She's got at least 10 good bud sites and I never even FIM'd her.👍 MONDAY: I spun her around and foliar fed her a few times TUESDAY: I fed her about 3/4 gallon and started her on Open Sesame and Tiger Bloom. Foliar fed a few times and tweaked the timers again.. WEDNESDAY: I foliar fed a few times and rotated her, then took some photos. Grow diary 11 stage 5 Days 41-50 During the week she had some training and I removed the damaged leaves. The whole grow has suffered from me not getting the watering schedule sorted. This westcoast hasn't started with the pistils yet but she can't be far off. Hopefully I haven't done to much damage.

There were two different phenotypes of this strain. One grew extremely large fluffy (medium dense) buds with a large amount of leaf. The yield was amazing. I don't weigh my weed but one plant filled a 5 gallon bucket. It was over 8ft tall and damb near as wide. This strain thrived through hurricanes, regular 50 temp swings and 50mph winds. Despite the horrible season this strain appeared to be mold proof. The other pheno grew tall and more sativa like with EXTREMELY dense buds with lots of calyxs. I don't have pictures of the other pheno as it's drying and I have to "take the picture for it to upload." OH and liquid kool bloom worked amazing.

On the grow itself, I just got twice as much yield with 1/3 fewer plants by switching to coco and CocoTek, I would count that a win. Zero stress so I was right, grow them without stress and you will be rewarded. Just the easiest best smelling little plant to grow. Always germs well and produces long as you treat her right. 12/28/2023: soaked my Peat Pellet in distilled water, mixed with a dash of Rootwise Mycrobe Complete, and planted the seed directly into it. Put into my 2x4 tent, which is currently running 20 hours on a 4 hours off. Temps are about 82° F when lights are on with an averge RH between 80% and 85%. 12/31/2023: She finally sprouted today! In order minimize any transplant stress, I added her to the 10 gallon pot of BuildASoil 3.0 today, and sprinkled some OptiVeg and Dynomyco into the hole. Gave her a very light watering, since I watered the pot pretty heavily a few days ago, when I planted my cover crop. So, there should be enough water for a while.

Flowering Week 6 – Fading Leaves, Persistent Flies The sixth week of flowering brought a mix of progress and persistent problems. The whitefly issue unfortunately hasn’t gone away. I replaced both yellow sticky traps at the end of the week, and within minutes, two new whiteflies were already spotted on the fresh left trap. The old one had four additional flies on the back. This pest pressure remains a concern, but I’ve decided to hold off on further neem oil sprays for now, given how far along we are in flowering. I’ll keep monitoring closely. Nutrient-wise, I stayed cautious this week due to ongoing signs of overfeeding. Leaf tips are still showing yellowing and some burn, especially on the lower leaves. Many leaves have pronounced yellow spots and curled tips — a clear sign of excess nutrients earlier on. To reduce stress, I watered with plain pH-adjusted water (5.5–6.0). Total watering volume was approximately 29 liters This week I also did a second round of lollipopping, focusing on removing all small popcorn buds and lower growth under the net that wouldn’t develop well. Despite the nutrient stress and the ongoing whitefly presence, the plants are still developing well. Buds are getting chunkier, trichome production is visibly increasing, and the overall structure is solid. Still, I’ll be keeping a close eye on both leaf health and pest activity in the coming days. ⸻ TL;DR – Week 6: • New whiteflies still showing up – 7 total seen this week. Both sticky traps replaced. • Additional lollipopping done: removed popcorn buds and shaded growth under SCROG. • Leaf symptoms (tip burn, spotting) persist – watered with plain pH water, once with half HESI dose. • Watered 3x this week: 9.5 L (pH only) • Light stayed at intensity level 7

The tops of the colas are recovering well from being burnt. One is probably going to foxtail. The others are kind of growing around the burnt parts. I don't think any more damage has happened since that first time.

To be honest, I was very surprised by this girl :) I didn't expect her to grow so much, so far everything looks good :) to be honest, I don't even know how she grows so much, where there is minimal sun :).

Day 34 she’s looking bushy and beautiful. I am so happy she is stoked on life. One of my favorite strains. Always fire. She’s getting huge I can’t wait to see how heavy she is going to be. Green and leafy may defoliate her sooner then later to get some good light penetration.

21/4 a beautiful plant, but this time the growth of the branches, had problems turning into each other! until it looks like a single bush !. now it's taking shape, because I cut all the extra leaves and twigs that were blocking the light. I look forward to!
