I was extremely happy with this grow. I was aiming for 1 lbs and I achieved 1.43 lbs total. The strain is a simple grow for anyone that can keep the environment on point. They are susceptible to pests, so a bit of previous experience in treating bugs is a plus. There seems to be either a rogue strain or a very special pheno within my garden. One plant showed a deep purple color starting in week 5 of flower. It grew out to some stanky and solid golf ball sized colas. Im keeping this stuff separate for the cure, as it is exotic looking and smokes like a dream. The Scroggernaut performed well. I was initially concerned that I would have issues trying to grow a scrog next to a free form. However, keeping diligent on the LST/HST right through midway flower made sure that the canopies were fairly level, and no ladies went missing valuable lumens, and none got light burnt. All in all, the Scroggernaut worked well and allowed me the flexibility of moving unscrogged plants, and with the extra space, made for easy watering of the scrogged plants. Harvest results: Plant 1 = 246g wet, dried to 64g Plant 2 = 345g wet dried to 103g Plant 3 = 338 g wet dried to 93g Plant 4 = 256g wet dried to 64g Plant 5 = 248g wet dried to 63g Plant 6 = 240g wet dried to 75g Plant 7 = 330g wet dried to 91g Plant 8 = 302g wet dried to 88g Improvements for next round include: 1) Increasing grow room size 2) Will raise the height of the scrog by 6 inches or so to help with comfort during watering 3) Will likely run Hempy buckets next to soiless mix and compare the growth rates 4) Will grow 1 extra week in veg I want to thank the GrowDiaries community, and especially the creators of the site for allowing me to share my grow with the world. I am now flushing her with plain Brita filtered water PH'd with lime juice to lower her PH. I initially first flushed her with 42L of water and now I am flushing her once a day for 8 days and then I will put her in for darkness for 3 days and then I will harvest her and dry her for 9 days and then cure her for 28-48 days.

This week I got the trellis frame set up and the ladies into there final pots (10gal) and will be receiving a veg tea today. With 4 more weeks of veg these ladies will be receiving veg teas for 5-6 more weeks with the last two weeks titrating from veg to bloom feed allowing nitrogen to still be added in the transition stage moving into flower allowing the plants to get a good healthy stretch.

ok i finally pinpointed the problem with my plants it was wind burn the 3 plant closest to the fan where moving a lot i thought i was helping them but leaf where curling like crazy i moved the fan away and now they are recovering also i added a humidifier before using it humidity was a 35% now its at 60% since i flushed system yesterday ill be waiting till next week for next flush lets cross finger and hope everything goes well this week prolly lost a week trying to find problem i thought it was a nutrient deficiency at first since wind burn was pretty bad and some leaves had spot from too much wind.full system flush today gonna run reverse osmosis ph water for 1 hour into rdwc then flush again and add nutrient.sometime less is better i went smooth on nutes for this week.switched to 600 watts 6100k plants are much more happy.

Week 13 : This wraps up the last week of flush for the biotabs, they got 2.5 ml/L of humic acid each feed 3x 4 pints this week. These have a real funky smell to them, cant really put my finger on it, kinda plant musty, really strong smell, maybe skunky or something, main thing is they're getting the chop soon ! Clipped a fair few leaves but the idea is a dry trim and hanging the plants whole for 10-12 days of slow drying before the cure. Man i cant wait to wrap this grow up ! These kinda grew crowded, i can tell because the biotabs and mrB's have a few branches that are anemic, small, useless, so they're all gonna go into the bubble hash, let's see if i can extract anything from these beauties ! wish me luck 🚀

The beginning of week 5! I think we are going into flower this week, signs are there. 7/22 (Day 35) - Started off week 5 with the most LST and Defoliation I have done and I was nervous. They needed it though, I was getting worried about mold and airflow through these bushy ladies, so I did my best and kinda followed my instinct. I did watch and read a ton of videos and articles and tried to put what I learned to use. I think these ladies are about to go into flower as well, started noticing the white pistols and where potential bud sites are going to be so I did my best to make those available to light and as even as possible. Will be letting them rest for a few days and reassess then. Everything continues to stay in check and the new dehumidifier worked awesome last night keeping the humidity in check. 7/23 (Day 36)- Didnt get any pictures this day. Pretty normal day, they drank 2 gallons and just continue to grow. I feel like they are just growing like crazy still and I think im starting to see them start stretching a bit more. 7/24 (Day 37)- Did the res change this morning, they are definitely starting to stretch and the bud sites seem to becoming more obvious. I went with more Veg neats after doing some reading, I may switch to bloom next week depending on how they are stretching. They fully recovered from the LST and defoliation two days ago. I decided to do a bit more today and focus on opening up light to sites that need them. Everything gets covered up so fast and I am having to defoliate a bit almost every other day it seems. 7/25 (Day 38)- Everytime I defoliate and do some LST they seem to bounce back so fast like next day. I did a bit more with the front left plant, she is lagging behind the others a bit, but that one has always seemed to be the runt. They are starting to form buds, especially back left plant which seems to have taken off a bit faster than the others. They are drinking almost 3 gallons a day! Everything continues to stay in check. I am debating if I should try scrogging or not, or just continue to LST and defoliate. Any input is welcome! 7/26 (Day 39) - Just kind of checked in on them and topped up the res today, Everything looks nice and healthy, all conditions are staying consistent and everyone is looking healthy. 7/27 (Day 40)- Did quite a bit of defoliation this morning. They needed it badly, a lot of the light was not getting through to under the canopy. Going to just keep an eye on them and see how they recover the next few days. As always, tips and recommendations are always appreciated!

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Week 11/3 - 17/3

Can't report too much this week because I was on vacation. The person who watered them for me made a video for me though. I've had some major issues with wasps munching my plants at night. Took a while to find out what it was, but they only seem to do that in a certain life phase. Spoiler: it's over, they stopped after 2 weeks. My purplematic never went into that typical early flower stretch. I have no idea why. But the buds are getting quite bulky and I tried to space them out as well as possible. She turned very very black and seems quite healthy. I'll give them another week on fish mix and then switch to bio grow. They seem to be doing quite well on this way of doing it and I'm having zero issues with early flower nutrient deficiency

Came back on New Years Day to be greeted by plentiful crystal laden flowers and incredibly nice terpene smell. Very glad they did well through the 12 day dry spell, now they can be watered good and well till harvest. One last minor defoliation, then I’ll stick to tying leaves out of the way. Also will begin incorporating the uvb bulbs for about 3 hrs on per light cycle, at about 12” distance from each plant.
