🌱 Grow Journal – Week 5 Week 5 of veg, and things are looking better. The plant has clearly shown signs of recovery since last week’s transplant and repot. It’s gained back some strength, which is really good to see. I took off the dome because it felt way too hot underneath. Without it, the environment is much easier for the plant. I also switched on bottom feeding by opening the Autopot valve. Now the nutrient solution wicks up from below, and that seems to have helped a lot. Not an instant boost, more like the steady support it was missing. I think it was slightly under-irrigated before. The plant is now back on track and should return to normal growth over the next weeks. The start was rough, but I’m glad to see it hanging on and gaining vigor again. I also turned on the air pump to run the AirDome at the bottom of the Autopot, giving the roots more oxygen. We’ll keep an eye on how it responds this week. As for conditions, it’s still pretty hot: temps around 25–27 °C, sometimes hitting 30 °C. Humidity stays low, about 50%, not ideal but manageable. That’s it for this week. I love this plant. She is so pretty and stinky. Not much to report just waiting on more amber trichomes and the chop chop. Hopefully the next update will be a harvest.

This week I inoculated the room leaves and plants with Neoseiulus cucumeris, I have had minor thrip problems all summer, Usually I use lady bugs to combat them but none have been available this year. I inoculated the plants by shaking the bottle full of Cucumeris and bran over the leaves. I will do this a few times before pre flowers show. Cucmeris are predatory mites that eat the thrip larvae. And are supposed to work for spider mites as well. I added the scrog nets to the room and began training the plants through them. I then flipped the lights over to 12 and Initiated pre flower. All vegetative growth was very vigorous. The goal of this grow is to do a preliminary test to begin to determine if Mycelium provides any additional benefits to Cannabis when allowed to colonize in super soil before being added to bottom layer of the pot. The Process: 1) 8 weeks Prior to Germination Super Soil is mixed (see super Sub cools super soil recipe further down the page) and added to spinning two part composter, water is added and the super soil mix is allowed to break down for a week. 2) 7 weeks Prior To germination 1L of colonized mycelium is added to each side of composter. Mycelium is now allowed to colonize the super soil. 3) After 8 weeks total the Mycelium has had enough time to colonize throughout the super soil mix and is ready to be added to the bottom 1/3rd of the pots. so here we are right at the end, smelling of beautiful tropical sweet candy like jolly ranchers, and she is fading beautifully as i lowered the temperature and started to feed with only water! so in a few days ill chop this girl maybe weekend maybe after! whenever it suits because she is about 95% ripe! i took some test shots with my camera and setup and outcome was spectacular

BIG BIG apologies to Heather from fast buds & to Growdiaries & anyone who follows. The past few months have been a massive struggle, not just with temperatures & growing weed but on a personal level. My wife has been very poorly & with covid and everything going on, it's put a massive strain on us all!! I've tries to maintain an active presence on Instagram but that's about all I've physically had time for. I've put this update together today, so far into the grow now it almost seems pointless. I lost my original Mimosa due to high temps & high RH. Moving into the attic at that time of year was a mistake. It has cost me a small fortune to keep things alive. I've had to purchase an air con unit, more fans & just more of everything to be honest. My purple punch is almost ready to harvest, any time within the next couple of days, followed shortly by Bruce Banner & Kosher cake. I wont be winning any awards for this Diary & I feel bad as I was supposed to be show casing what 420 Fast buds has to offer & I've failed...miserably. She is much prettier than she was a week ago :) I remembered that I have my first grow light, which is more compact and it will give me more space, so I changed my light, now the girl's side branches get light too:) I add a lot of video memes, because I really want to win Iphone16 pro ;) and those who don't take risks don't drink champagne:) good luck to everyone.

This lady got cut on day 63, I am extremely impressed with how she turned out considering she got nothing but PHed water the entire grow! She is extremely sticky & frosty and has a unbelievable smell everytime you open the jar! Definitely one of my favorite strains I have grown so far can’t wait to see how she does using nutrients next grow! I’m so excited to show you guys week 3. These plants are huge!!! Even though I’m watching them grow right before my eyes I’m still shock as to how big they are. I browsed through other growers diaries that’s growing the same strains as me and I haven’t came across none as big as mines. The plants are responding well to their nutrients and TLC from me. I was planning to scrog this grow but I’m curious to see how big these autos are going to get so I’m going to just let them ride it out. Seedlings stretched a bit had to put them under the light early. Popped 2 seeds initially with 2 freebies I got, unfortunately the freebies didn't germinate in a week so I tossed them and popped two more Dolatos and all four germinated with 100% success rate. Kept them on a 20/4 schedule watering them only once and sprayed the top soil with a mister every now and again. 👍🏿

Harvested GP#2 on week 12. Hung it up and dried at 70 degrees and 60% humidity for 10 days. Total weight after dried and trimmed is 8.3 ounces. They are currently curing in two half pound grove bags. This specific gorilla punch was great to grow. There wasn’t much defoliation required and with her sitting at almost 4 feet tall there wasn’t much larf at all. Pictures provided were taken right before she was put in 48 hours of darkness. Video was taken after a week of curing.

Day 36 - Start of a new week. Pulled the trigger and decided to drop the screen. Will give this up to 2 weeks to see how it fills out. Girls were pretty busy and sideways anyway from the LST, hopefully this will just keep them a bit more even! The cord not super taught (using hollow PVC conduit so couldnt overdo the tightness) but hopefully enough to keep them space trained. Upped the veg nutes slightly for the last run, took the EC up to 1.5 (was 1.3-1.4) just to give them the final push before flower. There still appears to be a few issues uploading to GD so will get the week 5 time lapse up as soon as they have that sorted!!! Happy growing everyone.

- 17-05-21 (Day 1) // // - 18-05-21 (Day 2) three of the girls got out of the soil correctly!😊 while the Runtz sprout is the only one that still remains in its seed despite she already opened it for 2/3 day now..🤔 its root seems to struggle to grow or pierce the soil ..
