🌸 Week 5 Flower – RollerCoaster Haze 🌸 The RollerCoaster Haze girls are thriving in mid-flower, building structure and stacking buds at an incredible pace. Both phenos are stretching into the canopy with strength, white pistils everywhere, and flower sites developing beautifully. The plants are balanced, vibrant, and showing no signs of stress, just healthy, determined growth. 💧 Nutrition & Feeding This week we’ve adjusted the recipe, stopping the All-in-One Liquid completely as the soil and pellets still provide plenty of slow-release nutrition. The focus now is on a lean, targeted bloom feed, keeping the roots active without oversaturating. Current recipe (all at 1ml/L): • Aptus Regulator • Aptus CalMag Boost • Plagron Green Sensation • Plagron Sugar Royal • Plagron Power Buds Solution runs steady at pH 6.0–6.1 with EC balanced to complement the soil’s reserves. The results speak for themselves: stalks, roots, and leaves are thriving, and the flowers are coming on strong. Environment • Soil Temp: ~24°C • Room Temp: ~28–29°C • Humidity: ~65% • VPD: ~1.3–1.4 kPa Airflow, extraction, and monitoring keep the conditions stable. Despite the size of these girls, they’re handling the environment perfectly. 💡 Inner Canopy Lighting – ICL300 This week I want to highlight the role of the ICL300 inner canopy lights. These lights are designed to deliver light where traditional overhead fixtures can’t: deep inside the canopy. Why does this matter? • As plants stretch and leaves overlap, the lower branches and bud sites often receive far less light. Without supplemental lighting, these inner flowers stay smaller, less dense, and less developed. • Inner canopy lights like the ICL300 solve this by pushing photons directly into those shaded areas, ensuring the lower and middle buds get the energy they need to bulk up. Spectrum: The ICL300 units provide a balanced white spectrum with a red push, tailored to maximize flowering response while avoiding heat stress. This means not only are the tops getting stacked, the inner and lower flowers are also swelling, making for a more even, consistent harvest. The difference is visible already: the RollerCoaster Haze girls aren’t just top-heavy. The mid-canopy sites are developing beautifully, with structure filling out in layers instead of just one dominant top. 🌼 Pistils: White Hairs Everywhere At Week 5, pistils (the fine white hairs that emerge from each calyx) are one of the clearest signs of flower development. They serve two major purposes: • Reproduction: pistils are part of the female flower’s reproductive system, designed to catch pollen if it’s present. • Growth indicator: the color, abundance, and orientation of pistils give us a direct look into the maturity of the flower. Some genetics push out bright white pistils, while others lean slightly toward cream, yellowish, or even orange tones earlier in bloom. This variation is completely normal and tied to the plant’s lineage. At this stage, the RollerCoaster Haze girls are full of vigorous white pistils, standing tall and reaching outwards. This shows they are actively building flowers and pushing energy into new calyx formation. It’s also a reminder that this week is about observation: watching how the pistils evolve will tell us not only about maturity, but also about how each pheno expresses itself. The runtz are about 45cm start of this week and the tall LCC is 75cm. She is also further into flower, but did not spread out so much in the tent. RAK seems to be very good with high PPFD, for the LCC they need a bit less I can feel.

Vamos familia, actualizamos la cuarta semana de vida de estas Runtz Punch de Herbies. Tuve problemas con la temperatura que estuvo alta 28/26 grados y humedad dentro de los rangos correctos, la única queja es la temperatura, 16 horas luz, 8 oscuridad, estiraron un poco, pero van lentas por el momento, que cojan fuerza. El trasplante a sido realizado a la maceta definitiva, 7L con sustrato Top crop. Hasta aquí todo, Buenos humos 💨💨💨

Just doing its thing. Ive topped the main stem twice and 1st nodes once. Showing asymmetrical signs which il have to adjust to. The plan is to allow a decent veg, im not in a hurry. Also want to play with some grafting, wont learn if i dont try. Cheers fellas, enjoy

Comenzamos con la fertilización de nuestras plantas, correspondiendo con la semana 2 de la tabla. Recordad que la semana de germinación no cuenta como vegetativo. Mezclamos 4ml x litro de Grow-Soldier by JUJU Royal BioBizz y 1ml x litro de Green-Mystic by JUJU Royal BioBizz. Total 10 litros, 5 de agua osmotizada y 5 de agua del grifo, mezclados con los 40ml y 10ml, de los fertilizantes. Ajustamos el PH con reguladores BIO, en el caso que sea necesario y regamos todas las macetas. De esta forma aportaremos los nutrientes necesarios para que nuestras plantas puedan comer en el sustrato de de coco.

Today 7/30/19, day 57 and the start of week 9. I'm still continuing to alternate between days with my pesticide treatment (especially after finding that bug living on one of hulkberries fan leaf) and thrive alive green daily foliage spray as a prophylactic solution against any possible pests or mold going into these last few dog days of veg. I will flush them with distilled ph'd water for two days this weekend in preparation for flower. Then I'll start them on some "flower fuel" bloom booster on top of my secret for success flower recipe at 1/4 of the recommended strength. Outside of that still no adverse issue to report for the end of the 8th week. After my last trim, they both have responded very nicely, I was kind of worried about fat banana stalled growth. But one thing I noticed when I topped her at the 6th node, yes the main stem stopped growing but it developed many bud sites up and down every stem. Whereas hulkberry was topped at the 8th node, she has mainly focused on developing long stems and only 2 or 3 bud sites along her stems. Even though hulkberry in structure, is much bigger than fat banana and has a way bigger root system. Fat banana is bushier and has developed way more bud sites than hulkberry. I can't tell which strain will yield the most at this point only time will tell! Also, a big shout out to "J"@RQS, thank you for the excellent customer service. Another reason why Royal Queen Seeds is top 3 in breeding!!

March 2, 2021 (Week 8, Day 57, Flower 8): First day of week 8! Pots were light today so watered with 4l per plant with 3ml/l pH Perfect Bloom + 2ml/l pH Perfect Grow + 2ml/l Sweet Raw + 1ml/l Big Bud + 1ml/l Cal-Mag Plus at 6.0 pH. Runoff sitting at 6.4 pH. Removed all remaining LST ties from Unknown 1. Lots of healthy growth. The stretch continues. Averaging 50% rH and 70℉. March 3, 2021 (Week 8, Day 58, Flower 9): Another inch and a half of growth in the last 24hrs. Unknown 1 is leading the pack at 17" followed closely by Gelato 1 at 16.5". The runt is still Unknown 2 at 15.75". It's seriously crazy how fast these are growing now. Plants are looking amazing overall. Soil is still wet from yesterday. I'm not sure what one, but one of these plants is starting to smell like straight gasoline and I haven't even seen any buds yet. Averaging 50% rH and 72℉. March 4, 2021 (Week 8, Day 59, Flower 10): More stretch overnight. Unknown 2 is trying to catch up to the others and grew about an inch and a half. Bud sites are looking great. I will definitely have to defoliate the lower fan leaves here eventually. Thinking about experimenting with two defoliation during flower. One at day 21 and another at day 42. Not sure if I can wait that long as there's already giant fan leaves getting relatively little light at the bottom of the canopy. We'll play it by ear. Averaging 50% rH and 72℉. 👽 March 5, 2021 (Week 8, Day 60, Flower 11): Soil is dry and pots are still a little heavy. Will most likely water tomorrow. Plants tacked on a bunch more growth. They're growing healthy and steadily. Averaging 50% rH and 72℉. Nothing else for today. March 6, 2021 (Week 8, Day 61, Flower 12): Pots are light and leaves are slightly droopy - today is watering day. Watered with 4l per plant with 3ml/l pH Perfect Bloom + 2ml/l pH Perfect Grow + 2ml/l Sweet Raw + 1ml/l Big Bud + 1ml/l Cal-Mag Plus at 6.0 pH. Runoff sitting at 6.2 pH. Vertical growth is looking fantastic. Gelato 1 is the first one out of the gate with bud formation. Pistils are starting to shoot out the top of the growth sites. Will be interesting to see how they develop over the next couple of days! Averaging 50% rH and 72℉. Happy Saturday! 😺 March 7, 2021 (Week 8, Day 62, Flower 13): Everything looks great. Plants perked way back up after the watering yesterday. More stretch. More bud development. Just loving how everything is coming together so far. Averaging 50% rH and 71℉. March 8, 2021 (Week 8, Day 63, Flower 14): Amazing what 24-hours can do. Unknown 2 is really kicking into high-gear starting to develop some dense looking buds and is smelling very, very sweet. Pistils are starting to shoot out everywhere, but not a crazy amount of stretch. Unknown 1 continues to stretch like crazy with minimal bud development so far - but the plant has started shooting pistils out everywhere. Gelato 1 is a mix of both stretching and bud development so far and is looking fantastic. Gelato 1 and Unknown 2 are so leafy I've had to tuck some leaves to expose the bud sites to light and air. I will do my first round of fan-leaf defoliation on flower day 21, but until then I'll continue tucking leaves. I tilled the top half-inch of soil in each plant. Averaging 50% rH and 71℉. I haven't filled my humidifier in days. My grow room is starting to smell amazing - it's hard to zip up the tent and walk away. This is so much fun so far. 😻 On to week 9!

Welcome to the Smoking Tiki's hut! For this grow, I'm using some of the seeds I won at the Summer Buds contest from last year. I kept the seeds in my fridge door during one year. It worked very well because all the seeds successfully germinated after 48h! 😎 I used 3x3 seeds. I selected 2x3 seeds with the bigger root to put them in some pots. I will let them grow a bit and then select the 3 best plants to make it until the harvest. It's the first time I grow some Fast Buds under a light and in a controlled environement, I'm really curious to see how it turns out! Well we're under on my first hydro run. Had to set off another purple punch as the seed was not healthy. The new one has just popped and looks good and only a week behind the rest so no biggie.
