MindFlowers68 I just happened to get everything ready and my seeds soaked so that I was able to sow my seeds on the morning of 420 ironically. The seed germinated in five days, and this weekly post is showing the growth that happened seven days after sowing.
Really excited to get going again after this winter. I was able to get started a little bit sooner than I did last year. I had a ton of cleaning and set up and rearranging to do. I got myself a new 4 x 8 tent to replace my old cheap one I got that lasted me like three or four runs. This new vivosun is pretty sweet. It came with the high CFM bars in the kit. It has apparently 2000D fabric. It seems about as thick as my gorilla light tent and my AC Infinity tent. It also opens up all the way like my gorilla tent which is a huge plus I didn't know it did that and also the windows covers come off completely, which is pretty neat. The pole thickness is way better than the gorilla light tent. I decided to get a few new fans and I'm now going to run 4 honeywells on the ground and each tent once they're both going. I got my vivosun set up and cleaned equipment as I needed to get it set up and I had later got my gorilla cleaned out and that's going with vegetable seeds right now from my garden. Once they're out of there, I will be close to harvesting these autos and then I can set up my scrogs for my for photoperiod plants two per 4x8 tent. My soil is going on its third season and I took a picture of what I re-amended it with, along with the liquid fertilizers I will be using. Another difference this year is that I am going to be running a mushroom tent in my lung room for mostly fun and food, but also see if it makes any real difference for my plants. Going to be growing, blue oyster, Pink oyster and lions mane to start.

MindFlowers68 The Colombian, Jack is looking awesome so far it's growing vibrantly and seems to be happy. You can already tell it's leaves are narrower than the other seedlings.
I'm kind of just watering with my intuition right now. I don't wanna suck it too much and then take too long to dry out with it not having roots. The first few days of the week I was just missed in the top. The midway through the week got first rewarding with the can with about 3ml of the calmag. The second time I put in 15 mL each of sea minerals and liquid kelp into a gallon and a half of water. Got around 1/4 gallon each time.
pH is at 6.5 around 68°F and 250 ppm of nutrients. My light is all the way at the top of the tent at 75 percent power and PPFD rating around 250 at canopy level 62 inches away.
The last picture in this weeks update is the mushroom tent set up so far it's pretty much ready to go. I just gotta hook up the controller and dial it in the environment. I have spawn green bags in sports syringes. I have to inoculate the bags I'm probably gonna start on that this week. I mainly want them fruiting during flower not when the CO2 load is at a minimum.

MindFlowers68 The plants had to fend for themselves for the most part this week. Although, I don't think they have any problem doing that. I did have a batch of boogie brew go in that they got fed, and I upped my kelp and minerals to a half dose from a quarter dose. I went for lighter, compost, tea, batch. The brewer I have is 32 gallons. I'm mixed up 3 cups each of the two part tea. I only watered twice this week roughly every four days it bounces between three and two waterings a week usually. They got about a half gallon each time.
My outdoor spigot leaked into the basement so I had to spend Four days focused on cleaning that up. The humidity's been kind of low, which is sort of unusual here. Figures I can't be in flower right now, Because I always struggle to keep it low. At least I'm going in the summer. The most challenging part is just keeping my humidifiers filled with water. I have two running in my tent right now, sometimes have to fill twice a day. I normally start my seedlings in a smaller tent, but they're starting to get to a point where they will start helping keep the environment is equilibrium.
Depending on when I get my vegetable seedlings out of my gorilla tent, I might try to see if I can transplant into my final pots for my photoperiods so the soil can help keep my tent humidified. I won't be able to do any scrog training on the photos. But I could put two of the autos in each of the tents in the middle until they finish.

MindFlowers68 It's been a nightmare for me trying to upload my photos for my diaries. I've had success often on, so I never know when I'll actually be able to have it updated. This week I skipped compost tea feeding and did one watering with kelp, and one with Cal mag a few days apart. Everything else is unchanged. The plants are receiving a little bit more light just from stretching. Somewhere around 350 ppfd.

MindFlowers68 Colombian jack is getting out of baby phase and in into growth phase. The leaves are getting really big and some with nine fingers. Still relatively short and close internodes and getting bushy. I'm gonna top it soon. Got my other tent cleaned and prepared so will be able to transplant soon.

MindFlowers68 Vegging plants are doing really well right now. They were thirsty this week getting a little over a gallon every two days. I haven't cut off a single leaf from any of them yet, and have been trying to disturb them as little as possible. I just been filling the humidifiers and watering every two days and making sure the tents clean. The lower branches and leaves do you need some attention as they are close to the soil and some are turning yellow now. But this coming week, I will have my new 65 gallon pots for my other tent, and I will be able to transplant my photo periods within the next few days so I will do my slight lollipop trimming/defoliation and I may top them I may just bend the main stem over. I haven't decided yet. I am not quite ready to set up my scrub nets after I transplant because I have my auto flowers that need to finish. Part of me wants to kick them outside on the deck but they only have a few more weeks and I should be able to deal with my photo's what I want until the space is clear.

MindFlowers68 The very beginning of the week started with transplanting. I started bringing all my soil from my past grows down to my tents and layering it so that I had a little bit from each and mixed it in equal parts. I wanted all the long term amendments I've been putting like the rock dust in to be in good proportions in my soil. I did add some juice to the soil in the form of Gaia green 444 neem meal, A healthy dose of diatomaceous earth, A sprinkle of mosquito bits. Also, at the time of transplanting, I added some Mycorrhiza, and watered in with Boogie Brew. I always sacrifice a 5 gallon pot for my big photos by cutting them out to minimize root damage. Not only that, I can't even get them out with practically killing the plant with the fabric pots. I may try to get some reusable ones with the zipper soon. I ended up just kind of tossing them. I added two more 65 gallon pots to the fleet. That way each of the photoperiods gets their own equal playing field. I also noticed how much easier it is watering with the 65 gallon pots opposed to the 50 gallons I've been running in the other tent. I let the plants get acclimated to their new homes most of the week then, towards the end of the week they got their first trimming in the form of a lollipop. I think I'm not gonna top the plants this round since I got them transplanted in a good time for training for the scrog net.

MindFlowers68 All of the photoperiods got their first scrog nets setup the beginning of this week. I usually top my plants at least one time and I'm not scared to, but I think this time it's not the move. Luckily, I was able to get them transplanted within a reasonable time they weren't overgrown I could get them under the net. I do wish I could get the canopy lower but I don't like doing that because then it's hard to water and it does give it more airflow underneath. Sometimes it does seem a little counterproductive to grow a plant with such long legs, but I think in the end it makes for a nice plant thats had a few extra weeks to veg and make strong branches. I did another batch of boogie brew for them this week as well. And my mushroom bags in their tent fully colonized with mycelium, so I cut those open to fruit.
This is the first time since I've started my diaries this year I've been able to have them all updated to their current week. It seems like my uploading issues are starting to get a little bit better. I don't wanna jinx it but at least I was able to upload using my phone and not having to download all my files again on my computer and all that mess. The more difficult things for me now it's just managing my files and keeping everything organized so it feels good to be up-to-date so I can focus on getting good pictures and not thinking about catching up.

MindFlowers68 Total auto pilot week for photoperiods, other than a few leaf tucks and branch adjusting to spread it out. I've been busy out in the garden outside, so haven't had time to hover too much around them this week but they don't need it. They're actually getting really close to filling the nets a few weeks early. They are loving the fish hydrolysate, and it's really pumping up the growth. I just wish I could add more like it says on the bottle without it tanking my pH levels down to like 4. I wasn't in more of a habit of using it more during veg, but got out of the flow of it because I don't like how it is hard to clean out of my compost bin and watering containers. I feel like I can Harper pathogens and that stuff I'll try to keep my watering stuff pretty clean. But lately, with my compost tea, because I just been adding it in at the end, since I have to do a very thorough clean afterwards anyway. If you haven't picked up already, I'm definitely a fan of lazy gardening. the only reason I mix up big batches of soil cause I'm really a true soil nerd and it's fun. I had the idea to maybe to use wood ash to neutralize it a little back to 6.5 But I didn't make a big enough fire and didn't collect enough ash. I want to stick to organic and not weird pH adjusters.

MindFlowers68 It was a busy week. Had to get in there and defoliate the lower parts of the branches. I did a lot of scrogging, tucking and LST training. At the end of the week, the Scrog nets got lowered down a little bit to help with training, and to give a little bit more room for flowering as well.
Then I had to mix up a top dress to get the plants ready for flower. I also went ahead and got some mulch together. I couldn't decide on a mulch so I mixed them all together. Before bringing it inside, I simmered water in my canning pot to soak the mulch just in case any bad critters or bacteria. The mulch all looked really clean, I just wanted to be safe. I got pine bark nuggets, pine straw, hardwood chips and cedar chips. The cedar had a nice mycelium growing in it already. I was gonna re-inoculate them with my failed oyster mushroom bags, but I ended up using that outside this time around. my humidifier kept shutting off and stuff so I don't know if that's why my mushrooms didn't fruit or not ,I had a backup in there but still no mushrooms. I still kept humidity pretty high but I don't have resources to dump in the mushrooms right now unfortunately so got to scrap that idea for added Co2. Once I have more time to try again i will be able to load my unused tents full of mushroom blocks to fruit and I think it will help my plants.
I bought a bunch of bulk amendments because I was running out and I didn't want to buy bag soil so I had some good stuff to work with for my top dress. My base was peat moss, course vermiculite, perlite, and rice hulls. I measured out 12 gallons of Pete and 2 gallons each of the others and 2 gallons of worm castings to make a mix to top off my 4 plants. Into that I mixed my amendment mix (per plant) times 4
4 cups fish bone meal
1 cup crab meal
1 cup alfalfa meal
1 cup calcitic lime
1 cup gypsum
1 cup Azomite
1 cup glacial rock dust
1 cup basalt rock dust
1 cup Diatomaceous earth
1/2 cup neem seed meal
1/2 cup humic acid
1/4 cup langbeinite
1/2 gallon worm castings (with worm eggs)
1/4 gallons of biochar made with Boogie brew and store bought organic hardwood char

MindFlowers68 Almost a week behind updating this week I was having trouble with Photos so I'll try to remember everything the best I can. It was last week of veg, and I got my second scrog net layer up. It was a hot week outside. We got over 100°F for several days in a row. Then followed by several days of rain. The tents got into the lower 90s for a few hours a couple days. I was able to keep the humidity up so the VDP stayed consistent. I was playing around with the light intensity alot this week. I wanted to keep the temps a little bit cooler than that if I could help it, even though the plants didn't seem to mind too much. Also, with the plants stretching, I wanted to make sure my PPFD was right. I kind of went back-and-forth trying to find the sweet spot between high PPFD in too much heat and I have the canopy around 800 max right now. That is with the lights almost full intensity. Once they stretch after this next week, I'm going to readjust because they're going to want to stretch where there is 1600 PPFD territory currently.
I'm taking notes on the leaves from my top dressing from last week looks like I may have went a little too hard on phosphorus. Also noticed that, particularly when the plants start to dry out the tips of the leaves get a little bit of clawing downward. So may be a little bit too much nitrogen, but not crazy amounts. Because I noticed the tips of the leaves were yellow which could be my environment more than the actual availability of the nutrients in my soil but I also realized last week that my pH pen was acting weird so I got a new one, so I might've pH'ed the water a few times weird to. But I thought maybe since I noticed the same slight yellowing leaves tips around week 10/10 veg on my other grows that maybe it's just a symptom of me overloading phosphorus, and it's blocking out antagonizing magnesium. So I decided to do a foliar spray with Epsom salt (Magnesium sulfate) and fresh grown aloe. I'm a big fan of foliar spray's but indoors it does seem a little risky and messy to be doing all the time but I figured it be worth a try to see if my theory was right with the magnesium if I can get some of the uptake in the leaves. The fact I noticed this going on in a pattern like this makes it easier to be able to see what's going on potentially because someone did tell me that I was having mag deficiency and now it's starting to click. But then again, I look at my leaves, and like do I really have a magnesium deficiency I don't know. I thought it was potassium before.
I was going to mention in previous weeks hell it didn't seem like the foliage was growing at a very rapid pace. Particularly the first few weeks after the transplant but now the foliage is taking off a lot quicker. I think the routes were taking time to really settle into the pot first.
They got their weekly batch of compost tea, and I also gave them the spent boogie brew as a top dress. He usually goes out in the garden because it doesn't get as much love sometimes, but I've been hitting a lot of stuff outside, so I came back around to my indoor plants this week. The idea of doing ferments has been kicking around in my head the last few weeks. That along with my plum tree, fruiting and dropping fruit everywhere and me having a big brain moment realizing the fermenter I bought for making hash could be used for making ferments imagine that! I collected like 15 pounds, a cherry plums and unfinished apples and pears from my trees outside and mixed it with some mulberries and black raspberry jam from a few years back that I put way too much sugar in, and I mixed a few herbs and which may be in a bad idea we'll see and some flowers and aloe in a little bit extra sugar and molasses in the fermenter and it's brewing up.

MindFlowers68 Colombian Jack is looking sick! It's got nice big long dinosaur looking leaves. She's a little hard to train in Scrog, just because it probably want to be a 8 foot tree. So I didn't push it too hard trying to get the neck completely filled. I figured once it stretches my canopy should be pretty well filled. And judging by some of my other canopies, I had before I flipped, this one's gonna be even bigger.
Plants got flipped to flower this week at 12 hours darkness. I took some clones the first day of this week, and then I changed the lights. So they had one extra day of veg. I only had water once early in the week. The reduced daylight for them made it not drink as much. I could've (should have) watered a second time later in the week, but I pushed it another day just to make sure they were dry at the bottom before watering again. The plants canopy up top is really thick, and the amount of shade casting on the bottom of the tent is impressive. The plant naturally shed a few leaves on the bottom that it didn't need. That with them drying out maybe just a little too much cause them to drop their leaves, but opened up some airflow and light penetration. I like when the plant selects leaves it doesn't need. I did my defoliation a week before flipping, but a substantial amount has grown underneath since I didn't wanna go taking stuff out because I'm probably gonna be doing that after second week of flower and stretching is slowing down.
