She started out stretching vertically faster than any strain I’ve grown before, and after laying her out for LST I thought she’d continue that stretch... she did to a certain degree, but more than half the canopy did not make it to the top. Next time I think I’ll top her instead, but regardless she has put out some picture perfect, sticky, pungent buds. A must have strain.

Got hydro halos setup because I need to be able to go away for work for a few nights, Was actually really easy to setup and works awesome, I got most the parts plus all my nutes from my local hydro store. I'm using cocoforcannabis.com as a guide for most of this grow and his site includes details on how to setup an auto watering system. At this point I'm still using Professors Go Green for cal-mag and following the GP3 feed chart to mix nutes to the right ratio and then diluting with cal-mag water to target EC (300-400EC for wk 1). Some of the plants had clawing leaves and were really dark green - I read that this could be caused by nitrogen toxicity and I'm concerned this may be due to the Go Green as it seems to be intended as more of a deficiency fix rather than a regular use cal-mag supplement for coco. Some of the leaves on one of the plants started getting rust spots like calcium deficiency, Canna Coco comes pre-buffered and I was adding Go Green so it had plenty, I think the likely case is that nitrogen toxicity may be blocking calcium intake also. I intend to change to Green Planets Pro-Cal which has low nitrogen and is made to work with their line of nutes. Also we named the girls! My roommate and I were pretty baked if you can't tell...

This week was good. Its been a week since I made the flip..the ladies are already starting their stretch. Pistils are showing up all over the ladies, which is a good sign of stable genetics being that I used feminized seeds. Right now I am giving them the transition stage feeding schedule. This will be my 1st time using bloom booster, I intend to start adding kool bloom to the feedings this week. Also I increased the intensity of the grow light to 100% Yesterday. These five incredible Runtz phenos have now completed their cycle, and today, we celebrate the final stage of their flowering life: the Harvest. We sent the girls into darkness on Day 70, allowing them a full 48+ hours of rest and reset. The dark period was just a bit longer, truth be told, because time… it flows as it must. This extended dark time helps increase resin production, allowing the trichomes to mature just that final bit more. On Days 72 and 73, we harvested them with care and reverence. Each plant was hung upside down, whole, in a perfectly controlled 60% humidity environment for 13 full days. Before hanging, we gently removed only the fan leaves, leaving all trichome-rich sugar leaves in place — a natural armor for the delicate resin glands during drying. Why do we do this? Because those sugar leaves help protect the essential oils and terpenes, preserving potency, flavor, and aroma for the smoothest experience later on. 🌿 The Dry Room & The Trichome Guardians Throughout the drying, we used a moisture meter to monitor the moisture content in the stems. Once it dropped to around 12–13%, we knew it was time. This tool is a simple but game-changing ally in ensuring a perfect dry — not too fast, not too slow. We then trimmed everything by hand over a 6.5-hour focused session. Armed with trim bins and good energy, we collected an abundance of glistening trichome heads in the process — a golden bonus from these resin-packed beauties. The leaves themselves told a story: deep purples, near-black shades, autumn fades and metallic tones — just stunning. Each girl was trimmed in order: #5 → #4 → #3 → #2 → #1, revealing dense, chunky buds all the way from top to bottom. overall very satisfied with the results and can't wait for the drying and curing to finish so i can lit one up!! the growing process wasn't that hard until she stressed during one of the training sessions and i had to cut off 2 colas during the veg cycle. for my first harvest ever i'm pretty happy with this little beauty:) day 2 of drying: weight dropped by half. total is now 50g and there's some more to loose 🙈 started curing the buds after 4 days of drying- overall 20g of dried buds ------ first taste 👅 (2 weeks curing): man it was worth waiting for an acceptable curing time before digging in, i tried it twice before and i have to say that curing plays a huge role when it comes to flavors, scents and high (so basically all the aspects that matter). wasn't even close to what i'm experiencing right now. great high, the taste is great with yummy fruity aftertastes. also looks like the volume of the buds have decreased by about 30-40% but they got denser will wait some more to see how curing benefits this one! ------- update 11/19/20 i had the trimmed leaves freezes so i decided to make some coconut infused RSO

FINALLY TRANSPLANTED into 10 gallon pots: Flowering SUPER SOIL COMPOSITION (per 20 gal): Medium: -25% coco loco (sustainably sourced from shrilanka i think) -25% peat moss (sustainably source in north america) -50% recycled depleted soil Amendments: -3 cups Citrus Tone Espoma 5-3-6 -1 cup 4-8-4 Mother Earth Bloom -1 cup 2-3-6 Earth Dust Boost -5 cups worm castings -80g w- 20 wollastanite (si + ca) -80g epsom salts -40g dolomite lime Here is what i am thinking: -Plants look good in the new pots, i figure it will be ready to scrog in about a week. -Never heard of anyone using this citrus tone fert but the utah state study said that optimal fertilizer is 20-10-20 blue mixture. Well as an organic grower I want to replicate that ratio. Its not 100% but the point is its high in nitrogen and potassium with adequate phosphorous because I am researching small scale rn and one day I will need to be very mindful of my P usage to be sustainable and regenerative. -I performed a preventative insect repellent because I saw thrip damage and I want to be safe. Honestly I think I am just going to do a neem oil treatment twice before going into flower every time now. I did 1tsp cold pressed jacks neem oil + 1 tsp w-20 wollastanite per 16 oz spray bottle and I drenched both girls all over. I plan on doing one more the day I decide to flip to flower. -Ca is far more important than phosphorous and the nutrient companies have been milking the myths about nutrient ratios for 50 years.' -I really put focus on the rock dust and inert minerals because I have never paid any attention to them but I will be stressing and pushing these plants with light so i need them optimal. -I started my own compost bin with holes in the back yard and I am planning on buying african night crawlers to start a worm bin that way I have two kinds of compost to break down my bubble hash waste and food from the kitchen. Will be great for teas. -I will water them in with a compost tea I am brewing/aerating currently. Giving it 24 hours.
