This week the time had come, the plants were chopped down. They were left to dry for almost exactly 7 days, a little too long as it turned out. One head bud had to be removed due to the risk of mold. All in all, the harvest turned out to be smaller, certainly also due to the fact that I could only grow three plants on 50x50cm in their vegetative stage to a limited size at the beginning.

Welcome to week 1 of my CBD Medi Kush Diary! I have 2 - CBD Medi Kush by Spliff Seeds going in the same tent with 14 other plants (full details on all of the other plants can be found on my "Dude's New Diary to Rule Them All" diary, check it out). But with the CBD Medi Kush I'm also growing 3 - DinaMed CBD+ by DinaFem, 1 - Critical+ by DinaFem, 3 - Cream & Cheese CBD by Seedsman and 7 - Cherry Blossom CBD Hemp by Elevator Supply Co. The 2 CBD Medi Kush plants and 2 of the DinaMed CBD+'s were all started from seed at the same time (all other plants are clones). Once all surviving clones/seedlings were healthy enough I transplanted from dixie cups to small pots (I guess around 1 litre). They were transplanted into soil I had been composting and turning for 3-4 weeks. They really responded well to the transplanting and the new soil. Noticeable growth in 48 hours. The pictures in week 1 were taken right after transplanting (check week 2 and you will see a very noticeable change all around). My plan this grow is to go organic (or as organic as possible). While the soil was composting I added old fan leaves to the mix as well as Recharge, Mr B's Green Trees 'Growth', and Jobe's Organic granular fertilizer. I know, I know, everyone says don't use time release nutes with cannabis. BUT, The Rev said it was fine in his "True Living Organics" book. He actually recommends putting spikes in the flowering pots prior to transplant (I'm planning on trying that too). Recharge and Mr B's Green Trees don't claim to be organic specifically for whatever reason, but the ingredients include pretty much everything The Rev recommends adding to composting soil. Plus I love Recharge, that stuff is great! Organic or not I'll be using Recharge along the way. Here's the setup... First of all, I'll let you know my grow area is in my attic. The previous owners finished the attic with walls lights and even carpeting, but for some reason kept the folding attic stairs. Its pretty a pretty good space, we divide the attic in half. One side for my plants, they other for attic type storage. I have 2 2x4 tents and a larger flowering area (10x12'ish). One of the tents I use for drying only, the other is where I have these babies growing. The babies are currently under a single Viparspectra V300 300W LED. I'm having really good results with Viparspectra LED's. Bang for the buck, Viparspectra is hard to beat. I have a 2nd 300W Viparspectra which is a R300 (more reds) which is better for flowering. I may stick the R300 in the tent as well at some point, but for now the single V300 is doing a great job. In the flowering area I'm running 1000W HPS. The HPS has been kicking ass with the plants in flower now and I'm expecting more of the same with these girls when they are ready for the big time. Side note: I'm running a separate diary for all of these girls. In this diary I'm just going to focus on the CBD Medi Kush specifically. But I did start the CBD Medi Kush and DinaMed CBD+ seeds at exactly the same time. So, in the other diary I will do some comparisons and contrasts between the 2 strains as they grow. So far the DinaMed is taller, but the CBD Medi Kush has beautifully stacked node structure. This looks like its going to be a win-win. Please follow and comment away!!! Any tips/tricks regarding organic gardening would be appreciated! 👍

420Fastbuds Week 7 FBT2105 The two of these beast have been growing great up to now. Showing no signs of issue's and just an absolute beautiful shade of green. I gave them a mild defoliation taking a few fan leafs off and sprayed them with some Dr. Zymes to prevent any pest or mold. I thought I seen some pm on a leaf so hoping I was mistaken and going a little overboard but wiped the tent down completely. All in all Happy Growing.

Day 36/Flower Day 8 - Starting to get them girle bits showing now. Stretch is still unreal but the smaller nodes that have crept up to the top are thickening their branches so that’s a good sign they'll hold something and if not, have a spare elasticated SCROG net for support, which will DEFINATELY be needed by the looks of things!!! The main branches are sitting near as thick as 1 of the stems of my last grow so these girls are definitely sturdy and strong growers! If only they didn't push for the roof!!! Apart from the one SCP (#2) that is staying squat in the back corner...sub nodes getting up there but the "tops" staying low and bushy!!! When I start to see a few more flower sets/bud buttons proper actually forming, I'll start inching up the lights to 13/11 over the week...still tempted to start it now but thinking best to wait til the bloom nutes get upped drastically (which is next week - will be upping them by about 50-60% volume). Feared a bit right now that the extra light may fuel some stretch rather than fuel the flowers...but then again, having the plants acclimatise to 13/11 by the time the buttons are forming may not be bad...but then again, that 13/11 may slow down their formation!!! Choices and Choices!!! Was expecting the flower initiator would have knocked some time of the pre-flowers showing (can't think now if nodes were asymmetrical before flip...honestly couldnt have vegged any more though...or could I???) but nope, hopefully the buttons start to set quickly now though. Apart from that, all going well so far. Been a bit of a drop in the temps outside and clearer nights so hopefully that helps bring day temps and night temps down a bit - bringing down humidity some too. Need to restart my CO2 Jug now for the flowers and keep on watching them grow! Happy growing all! 💪

This girl started showing her pistils 3 days ago. I amped up her feeding with some extra Budswell Guano. The growth has been exploding pre-flowering.

4 of the ladies are 13 days old and 1 is 7 days old and had a rough start when she sprouted. Last grow i got a bit too comfortable and fed way too much which i believe caused the lockours since my runoff was good. Its my 4th grow and ill be doing "water, water, feed" till flower, maybe "water, feed, water" if everything goes great. I really want to avoid future lockouts. What is your technique. Id love to hear from you guys how you avoid lockouts. Happy New Year!!

Grow Diary Update: Week 5 - Pre-Flowering and LST Evaluation Entering Pre-Flowering Stage At the end of last week, the first pistils appeared, marking the beginning of the pre-flowering stage for my plants 🙌 There's much to manage now. To support optimal stretching, I've adjusted the nutrients following 2/3 of the Terra Aquatica feeding schedule: CalMag: 2 ml/l (Starting EC before adding nutrients: 0.45 mS/cm) Grow: 1.33 ml/l Bloom: 1.0 ml/l Micro: 1.33 ml/l The nutrient solution now has an EC of 1.3 mS/cm (638 ppm PPM-500/TDS) with a pH of 6.1. These adjustments aim to promote vigorous growth and prepare the plants for flowering. Weather and Growth With significant weather improvements, my plants are thriving at full speed. Every centimeter gained now counts towards maximizing the final yield, turning around from the challenging weeks prior. Pest Management I'm fortunate not to have encountered pests like spider mites, aphids, or thrips. However, the persistent snail issue remains. Nightly patrols with a flashlight have been effective, and placing old lettuce leaves away from the plants has helped trap and remove snails, ensuring the plants remain undisturbed. LST Experiment Results The two plants I trained with LST have responded admirably, showing healthy adaptation to the bending and vigorous growth. Yet, I'm at a crossroads regarding the upcoming stretch phase: should I continue to tie down branches to maintain an even canopy or allow natural upward growth to potentially boost vertical yield? Your Feedback Matters I value your insights on this critical decision. Should I proceed with low-stress training to control canopy height, or should I let the plants stretch upwards for increased productivity? Your experiences and advice are invaluable to me as I navigate this stage of my grow. Share your thoughts below! Stay tuned as I continue to document the pre-flowering stage and learn from the ongoing LST experiment in my grow diary!

Mar 26 Fed a gallon of RAW GROW: about 15ml worth of nutrients. Continuing the LST. Mar 27 Going to have to look back into defoliation techniques here soon. She's like a forest under that canopy!
