pH was important as expected and a bit of light burn later on in the grow but ultimately it was pretty smooth sailing. I used a very common nutrient (GHE) and not overly strong. Buds were thick, dense, and moderately pine smelling. The plant did not grow excessively tall thanks to LST, and the LST did not seem to have any ill effects at all. Foliage was thick, and I let it go for a very long time before doing any sort of defoliation. Even then it was modest and just to get light to the lower colas. Still in trimming mode and will continue to update :) Also, other plants in the house got spider mites. Not this one. Could have been that it was in hydro and others weren't but hard to say.

I'm going away for 30 days about a week into this grow. I'm going to automate weeks 1 through 5 by using the Blumat watering system along with the automated fan from AC Infinity. Hopefully, these will keep things going while I'm gone. I've never used the Blumat products before and I'm excited to see their potential. If I succeed, I'll return to happy 5-week old plants. If not, I'll have to start a new grow...which is what I was going to do anyway. I have nothing to lose but a couple of seeds. Let's get this automated grow started. Day 1 - I placed the seeds directly in a fist-sized clump of Coast of Maine Seed Starter soil that was then placed in a 3-gallon pot full of Coast of Maine Stonington Blend. This will ensure the seedling doesn't get exposed to the nutrient-rich soil too soon. I set the light 2 feet above the top of the pots so they have room to grow into the 18" to 12" range. I also set the light strength to 60% during germination. The temperature in the tent remained 75 degrees and humidity was 70%. I also covered the soil over the germinating seeds with mason jars to act as humidity domes. Day 4 - Both pots sprouted this morning. I immediately removed the mason jar humidity domes. I also increased the light to 70% strength and installed the Blumat watering system to help me keep things growing while I'm gone.

Too much stress,really cold environment,some times with the grow light off the temperature is around 13/15C and the air goes direct to this plant because the fan is close enough,the Plant doesn’t give up and has some over feed too,idk why but I’m using nutrients after 15/20 days and half of dosage that BioBizz says and I still have over feed a little bit and nutrient lockout maybe because I’m using some Bio Molasses Blackstrap but if I’m using molasses I’m not using bio grow and I’m using like 3/4ml per L.The LST is because the plant got really tall that the grow lamp couldn’t go higher because of my grow tent size and I needed to break the top cola.

10/8 - going along steady. I'll take few more glam shots later. 2 MONTHS. It may not look like much but I'm proud of these 3. This is probably the healthiest tent I've had since I started growing inside. I just want them to fill out the net a little better before I flip. 10/10 - trellis training is underway. Between topping and this, I should have a nice, full canopy this time around. I've estimated about 72 squares in my net yet only about 35 or so colas forming. Wondering if I should really I push this one or quit while I'm ahead. One thing is for certain, Moby dick is responding much faster to being topped than GZ. Every stem of Moby I've topped has grown lower shoots aggressively and quickly. Gz has been far slower to respond. Noted. Can't wait to see these things bud. But patience is a virtue here. If the veg stage is any indicator, the buds going to be phenomenal.

Flowering day 76 since time switch to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) Finally the time has come . The lady was harvested and hung upside down in the dry tent 😍. Before that, she stood in the drying tent in complete darkness for 2 days and the large leaves were removed. The small leaves stay attached during the drying process so that they protect the buds and allow them to dry more slowly and evenly :-) . In the dry tent, the temperature is 18-19.5 degrees and the humidity is 54-58% 👍. In this environment they are now allowed to hang for 10-14 days before they are fine-tuned and trimmed clean by hand. then after trimming they come to ferment for 6-12 weeks in dark jars with bobeda packs 62% to keep the perfect humidity. After a few weeks, the Boveda packs 58% are used so that they can slowly dry out :-) . Of course there is one last update after trimming. Until then, I wish you a lot of fun with the update. Hello Diary, Milky Way F1 is truly beautiful, in full bloom and covered in flowers that fill in nicely. It progresses quite quickly considering the fourth week of flowering, the smell is more and more intense. Milky Way F1, like its roommates, reached its maximum height this week, there is no change since the last measurement. Watering has become a little more frequent, I have to water every three days because they drink a lot of water. I continued this week with the addition of nutrients, bio flowering booster and easy bloom tablets. The conditions inside the grow box are good, the temperature is around 28 degrees and the humidity is around 45%. Here's a quick recap of the week. 12/06/2023 - Day 44. Watering. I prepared 8 liters of water, added all three components from the bio flowering booster, lowered the pH. at 6.0 and with that amount I watered all three plants evenly. 15/06/2023 - Day 47. Watering. I prepared 8 liters of water again, inserted one easy bloom tablet, lowered the pH. and again with that amount I watered all three plants on the farm. 17/06/2023 - Day 49. Was a great run , plant got so big it overtook my tent. So far the biggest Autoflower I've grown. Nice smell of lemon and berries. Careful with nutrients and make sure to use Cal mag, just my opinion, thanks everyone

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. 09/20/2018 Today's the day we flip to 12-12 and full strength nutes, roots have filled in nicely,and she is growing,I fear if I don't flower now she may get to big for my tent, I'm hoping that she only stretches 1.5-2 x,but if she got the sweet pink grapefruit genes it could be a 3x stretch that I hoped for. But we will see .let the magic begin! 09/24/2018 Supercropping, and scrog day 4 after flip stretched,4-6" ,canopy will fill out quickly. The 9fingered leaves i am guessing are from grapefruit genes,as I have not previously had more than 7 fingered leaves on Captains Cake,Star Cookie,or Mystery Cookie plants. Might get nice stretch from their offspring,, which is partly why I chose these plants to Breed improve the stretch of Captains Cake as she didn't stretch much after 12-12 flip. Time will tell whether or not it worked.

Day 63 What a turn around! Got my watering issues manageable. Last watering for Candace I added Mykos and Azos to my water. Switched from SimPro to Terp Tea. #GIRTH # FROST #AROMA Sheryl got that same recipe tonight. Candace didn't need water, but I splashed about 8oz in her dish for the bottom roots. Take Away? It's a weed so it's resilient. Have patience, don't panic, let the plants tell you what they need. Came back from out of town and the girls were looking famished. I put 1Tbl of Terp Tea Bloom in a gallon of rain water with Mykos, Azos, and Fish Sh!t. Fed both plants half gallon each.

My plants grow well! The leaves issue I get during last week seems to be ok now. I trained the 4 plants. O.G. Kush and Honey Melon Haze in the begining of the week and the 2 Mandarin Punch on the last day. O.G. Kush & Honey Melon Haze : topping + LST. Mandarin Punch : topping only. I struggled a little bit to maintain a good air humidity. It was oscillating between 50 and 70% but most of the time it was around 60%. I had to use a dehumidifier. The fan is now "ON" at the same time as the light.
