2.24.2024: Start of week 5 from seed. Started to flower last week. Nothing done today. Still no nutes given, still scared to defoliate. Plant is 15.5 inches tall and looks healthy. Light is 11 inches from the top and at 75% power, 112 watts. I'm clearly no expert and i'm sure there's something i should be doing(feeding) but she's chugging along. 2.25.2024: Day 37 from seed. She's so healthy, and the budsites are producing a ton of white hairs. Some of the fan leaves have purple stems and a dark green color which i think indicates something with nitrogen but she's rolling along. Still no nutes given. 64oz of 6.3ph. 19 inches from soil. Can't tell if watering lowers the soil level but since i haven't touched the light height, i'm assuming its upward growth. 2.26.2024: Day 38. Small bit of upward growth. Will feed tomorrow for the first time at 1/4 strength nutes from the fox farm trio and maybe some calmag. 2.27.2024: Day 39 from seed. Finally fed the plant, albeit small amounts. Foxfam trio at 1/4 strength of the week 5 dose plus calmag. 64oz of the solution at 6.5ph. 2.28.2024: Day 40 from seed, 36 from sprout. Humming along. Bud development is going nicely. 21 inches in height. Light at 75% 9 inches from the top. 2.29.2024: Day 41. 96oz at 6.5ph. Another .5 inch of growth. Sitting at 23 inches from soil. Bud sites are clearly defined with tons of long white pistils. At first glance, she's the winner between the two in the tent so far. 3.1.2024: End of week 6, day 42 from seed. Plant is healthy as far as i can tell. Some yellow leaf tips, some burnt leaf tips, and most likely some nitrogen toxicity but shes taking it all well. Lots of learnings so far. FFOF probably isn't ideal but its working. I've got half a bag left so i'm stuck with it for the next cycle or two. I bought the fox farm trio for nutes and given i've only used them once, and a few mililiters at that, i feel like those containers are going to last forever.

Good morning, today is day 50 of veg heading into week 8. I’ll let them grow taller this week after I did their first lollipopping and defoliation to get them ready for flower! I went away and one of the plants got too close to the light and got some light burn but has since been corrected and the new growth is fine. These girls are hungry and I waited a month to top dress but looks like I should have probably done it after three weeks as the new leaves are showing signs of deficiency’s ! Once the fertilizer works into the soil they will be fine and they are still growing fast ! Still giving them a gallon of water about every 4 days rotating fish shit and silica every other watering plus they got their recharge which I do every 3 weeks! Added a quarter cup of worm castings to each pot which I do every other week! Thanks for reading and I’ll see you next week on flipping day

Removed autoflower and put her in her own pot outside the tent. Foliars applied in strong blue 430nm with 4000hz tone. 20min dose prior to application. In essence, you're seeing a combination of the infrared light reflected by the plant, which the camera perceives as red, and any residual visible blue light the plant reflects, which results in a purple hue. I was doing more stretching of the stems, adjusting weights, just a little too much, and it snapped almost clean. I got a little lucky in that it was still connected, wrapped her almost instantly while holding her in place with yoyos. I am hopeful she will recover and reconnect the xylem and phloem channels. Oopsy level stress event. ANTHOCYANINS!

Switched the Big bud to Overdrive give them that PK boost there needing, frosting and stacking nicely.... took the tip out of 90% of the top bud and I mean the tips like 1 maybe 2 calyx hopefully make them start swelling more instead of vertical growth 🤟

Alright alright… getting to that fun stage. Flowers are fattening and we are going to run them another week and a half for the effects I’m looking for. They have been de netted and trimmed up to expose all bud sites. There will be no larf or popcorn this run.

# Purple Haze by Zamnesia | Pheno A 🌱💜 ## Germination Week | The First Notes of a Classic Hello GrowDiaries family! 👋🌱 Welcome to another new journey. As some of you may have noticed, I've recently adjusted the way I document my grows. With the current photo limitations on GrowDiaries, each phenotype now receives its own dedicated diary rather than sharing a single journal with its sisters. This allows me to continue documenting every stage of development in as much detail as possible while selecting the best photographs from each week. The objective remains exactly the same as always: To create a complete educational record from seed to harvest while sharing observations, successes, mistakes, lessons learned, and everything in between. Today, we begin following Purple Haze Pheno A. --- ## A Name That Carries History Some cultivars arrive quietly. Others arrive carrying decades of history behind them. Purple Haze is one of those names that almost every grower has heard at some point in their journey. Whether through cultivation, cannabis culture, music, or simple curiosity, Purple Haze has earned a place among the most recognizable names in the community. And now it's time to see how this particular phenotype chooses to tell her story. For this run, we're following Purple Haze from Zamnesia Seeds, cultivated under a 12/12 from seed schedule from the very first day of life. A method that is a little different from what most growers choose, but one that has become part of my own cultivation style over time. Throughout this diary, I'll do my best to explain not only what I'm doing, but also why I'm doing it, allowing anyone interested to follow the process from beginning to end. --- ## Germination Using the Cannakan System To begin this run, I used the Cannakan germination system. The concept is simple and practical. The container is divided into separate chambers, allowing multiple cultivars to be germinated simultaneously while remaining properly organized and labeled. The seed was placed inside using only plain water. No nutrients. No additives. No stimulants. Just water. Within approximately 24 hours a healthy taproot had already emerged and the seed was ready for the next stage. Simple. Clean. Effective. Exactly what we hope to see. --- ## Why Only Water? One question that often appears during germination is: "Why not feed the seed immediately?" The answer remains simple. The seed already contains everything required for its first stage of life. Nature packed all the energy reserves necessary for root development and early growth long before we ever became involved. At this stage, I prefer allowing the seed to do exactly what it was designed to do. The objective is not to feed the plant. The objective is simply to wake it up. Water is enough. --- ## First Experience Using Coco Starter Plugs This run also marks my first experience using coco starter plugs. The plugs were fully hydrated and then gently squeezed to remove excess moisture while maintaining a healthy balance between water retention and oxygen availability. Once germinated, the seed was carefully inserted into the plug and placed inside a humidity dome. The dome remained useful for only a short period. Within less than 24 hours the seedling had already emerged and was ready for the next step. At that point, she was transplanted directly into a small container filled with Plagron Lightmix. --- ## Environmental Conditions Environmental conditions remained intentionally simple and stable. Temperatures remained around 26–27°C. Humidity was maintained between approximately 65–70% using a Spider Farmer humidifier. Rather than keeping seedlings inside extremely humid conditions for extended periods, I personally prefer introducing them relatively early to the environment they will actually experience throughout their life cycle. The objective is adaptation rather than dependence. Airflow remained extremely gentle. Just enough movement to keep the air fresh without creating unnecessary stress. --- ## Lighting Lighting during germination remained intentionally soft. Young seedlings simply do not require intense light levels yet. The goal is healthy establishment rather than aggressive growth. Once properly established, this girl will move under the Future Of Grow Black Series 600W full-spectrum LED system where the next stage of development begins. For now, healthy beginnings remain the priority. --- ## First Observations Everything has progressed exactly as hoped so far. Fast germination. Healthy taproot. Strong emergence. Healthy color. Good vigor. And perhaps most importantly: A strong beginning. At this stage every phenotype is still an unwritten story. And honestly, that's one of the most exciting parts of growing. No matter how many seeds we start, every plant still carries a little mystery inside. --- ## Looking Ahead Over the coming weeks we'll follow Purple Haze Pheno A through its early stages of development and beyond. We'll explore: - Root establishment - Early structure - Environmental management - Watering practices - Light intensity - Growth observations - And whatever unique characteristics this phenotype decides to reveal Because every journey begins with a seed. And every seed deserves the opportunity to tell its story. Huge thanks to Zamnesia Seeds for the genetics, Plagron for the substrate and nutrition, Future Of Grow for the lighting, and everyone joining along for another seed-to-harvest adventure. Grower's Love everyone. 🌱💚

Germinated very quick. A Few endup with a long tail sproughting by the time I had been to work! so planted them asap. Straight into 15l pots but possibly slightly too deep. Misted the top with a spray bottle until it appeared damp each morning. The video is from 9 days after first germinating or I would have just had pics is pots of soil!
