Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. Hello Diary. The third week of flowering is over, what I would comment on first this week is the scent. Fat Banana began to spread a wonderful fruity scent, like some fruity candy. 😋 So far on my small farm no strain has smelled like this at this stage of flowering. The plant is full of flowers and as you can see in the photos, they fill up nicely. 👍 Brownish spots have started to appear on some leaves, I will monitor the development and try to detect what the cause is. 😯 Watering is standard, I water the plants about every three days. Preventively for now I add CalMg and every other time I add BioBizz. I am preparing about 7 lit. water with which I water all three plants evenly. Here’s what he looked like all week. 02/11/2020 - Day 39. Watering. I added BioBizz and preventive CalMg. p.H. I adjusted to 6.5 with Plagron’s Lemon Kick. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 26.7 degrees and 42% humidity. 05/11/2020 - Day 42. Photographing and watering. This time I just regulated p.H. at 6.4 and I didn’t add anything else. Fat Banana really looks beautiful so I also took photos on a black background. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.6 degrees and 41% humidity. That’s all for this week, see you soon.

We are in week five. I was a little embarrassed because my girls reacted to the stress by shrinking. Now the situation is perhaps consolidated and we are gaining weight. They will be such tiny beauties, I really hope. pH still unstable (5-6), EC of rainwater supplemented with a mix of organic fertilizers to a value of min. 1.2-1.6 The girls look healthy so I cuted some leafs but only so much, as the all tops have good position for light source.

another uneventful week. the girl is still creating nodes like crazy ... she is growing sideways rather than rushing for the lights. i raised the lights higher to about 12" from the top of the leaves. i also changed the nutrients from a seedling recipe to an early growth stage recipe that is richer in nitrogen with a higher ec 1.2. i also got to see the roots for the first time, they are looking really nice - white and fuzzy. i made the main nutrient tank more permanent and relocated the used nutrient and fresh nutrient tanks in their own chamber so, it's even easier to do manual nutrient changes (1 container in and 1 container out sort thing). later on, in the week, i noticed the main roots showing a little discoloration, not sure if i should be concerned about this, but she looks healthy.. it was fun using the doser again as i really hate mixing chem's since my days in chemistry labs. looking forward to new aggressive growth this week.

Big week this week.. Had to flip the lights, defoliate the full underside of the scrog that took hours .. Then decided to take some clones mid process ending me with hopefully Some good rooters. Also changing up my feeding schedule to a higher dose of nutes almost 1500 ppm. That should hopefully lay my coco with a healthy Base off minerals needed for the boosting that’s happening

This week I Realised I'd used the wrong feed chart so I was over feeding 🙄 the leaves burnt on a few plants so I've only fed them water this week and will resume feeding from next week. There are still no pre sex pistils showing but it can't be far off now. As soon as pistils start to show I'll start feeding bloom feed. I've turned the light up to 30000lux using HLG's online calculator for converting a lux meter/app reading to PAR , my light is 3000k which with lm301H Led's works out @ 465ppfd which is about the max the plants can use in veg without supliments co2. On day 1 I changed out my reservoir, and added my bloom nutes, adjusted my light schedule to 12/12 and defoliated the plants. I adjusted the reservoirs PH to 6.1 My hope is that by flipping this cultivar earlier than my last run, I will not run out of vertical space ;). On day 2 I adjusted my reservoirs PH down to 6.1. On day 3 the clawing is almost completely gone. I adjusted the reservoirs PH down to 6.1. On day 4 the reservoir's PH is at 6.1. I defoliated the plants removing anything blocking lower growth to increase light and air penetration of my mains. On day 5 the reservoirs PH is 6.1. On day 6 I adjusted the PH of the reservoir up from 6.0 to 6.3. I will let the PH drift between 6.1-6.3. on day 7 the reservoirs PH is 6.2. I lowered the light intensity from 100% to 85% to give the top of my plant canopy an average PPFD of 700-1000. I plan to reduce the intensity as the plants continue to stretch to keep them in the 800-1000 PPFD range. I just got my first quantum par sensor and I'm really loving the new data it gives me to optimize my lighting.

DAY49 7 Weeks Buds are hard. Smell is extreme. Very limited amount of spidermites under some leaves. No reason to exterminate them, because next week I'll probably harvest the plants. The smell of the Triple G is fanastic, Big separated buds. The Cookies Gelato are more sativa style of buds than I'm use of them. There leaves are turning purple. The Liberty Haze has a lot of small leaves in the buds, and thet got amasing blinking white flowers. Probably this will be the plants I'll harvest the last, because they need some extra flowering time. The Wedding Gelato is creamy, lots of trichomes and is fast flowering. But some flowers got budrot. I'ts hard to get the humidity low because of the rainy and misty autumn outside.

Overall I’m really happy with this genetics. Unique flavors. The plants had enough time to reach their maximum potential after 80 days of flowering time. Harvested pretty late, but it was worth waiting. Dried them under low temperatures with the 60/60 method for 10 days. After drying trimmed and put the flowers into the glass jars. Landed perfectly in the sweet spot between 59-60% humidity. The flowers are still curing in the Vivosun VCure at a temperature of 15.5 degrees C (60 Fahrenheit). Great product to maintain the quality in storage. For everyone who is interested I‘ve also uploaded a video of my grow gear. Everything is going well with our big girl, switched to ph treated tap water which seems to be working well. It comes out of the tap at 7 ph and around 80 ppm. I have used lemon juice to get it around 6.86 ph after mixing in my nutrients. 2/11- Very hard to water big girl as she seems to be drinking really fast and theres not much room; i'm having to water everyday. Not sure how long i'm going to veg but starting to worry about height for flower in my 3x3

both of my girls were very low in potassium... this mistake has been happening to me for a while now but I finally know the real reason :) she got CANNA kalium 2ml/L . and it seems that there are no more deteriorating leaves :)

a fairly quiet week the buds grow and grow slowly a lot of resin is formed on the leaves and watering becomes more frequent. the stretch was not too hard for the plants I don't lose any more leaves this is going very well thanks to mother nature

Week 7, starting to fatten up and become more aromatic.

Trying to increase light now that they're all healthier again, without burning away the pretty blue color they're developing. Gave them their late-flower defoliation, will wait until finishing to cut all the leaves off. Still doubling calmag and buildabloom. buildabloom has epsom in it it turns out, so I'll stop doubling the calmag when I use it. Gonna water one more time and feed one more time. I dont think its a matter of flushing or not, I just dont think itll continue to uptake much.
