It was one of my first experiences mainlining and heavy defoliating, and I definitely saw the advantages to doing so(even on a smaller plant). I enjoyed this plant so much I wish I could find more seeds. Very potent, RUBBER, diesel, gas smells. Super sticky and gooey, and the bud structure was perfect. Dense, with very little leaf for trim. Beautiful colors and all together an amazing strain.

Hey all! 👋 Remember last week when I said Falco was getting some chlorosis? Well, the first photos show how bad it is (or was) but the plant is "old", she was quite special as a young plant and her main leaves are doing well so I suppose what is happening is just something normal or maybe some other weird factor... might be affecting her, but more probably I'm just way too worried. In my confusion I added 2ml of Green Grow (which is the growing fertilizer I previously used) thinking that she needed the extra nitrogen but in the end it seems it was unnecessary (as it's a normal process of the plant), I just removed the old leaves and left her to be. 😝 Besides what I previously said I saw a lot of bud progress this week (and I tried to picture all that! 😋). There are plenty photos of the same flower (most of the times!) showing how trichomes were constantly appearing during this week. Next week I'll be adding some extra Potassium and Phosphorus and I hope those products will help my babies to get bigger buds! I also made a video at the end of the week to show how my plants look at a normal speed plus two time-lapses. There are also some photos I took with my DSLR and an inverse ring just to see how the plant would look... and I think they look amazing! 😍 Anyway, I hope you all like the photos and thanks for reading! 👋

Our Ghost Train Haze Automatic by Zamnesia started off very well, they had a good sprint since I added Alga grow and they had the chance to start metabolizing the powerful additives from Plagron. We quickly got to the first topping, as with all the others I decided to make a plant with the techniques and a tip. I'm not completely ready to give up the main cola. Applied Techniques - Given the numerous requests from growers, we decided to show you what happens when you apply the topping + Lst to autoflowering plants. It is very important to anticipate it as much as possible, autoflowering plants start flowering at about the 5th intenodo, you need to anticipate that moment to give the plant the chance to vegetate as much as possible. In general, when you see that there are two good side branches, you can do topping, they will go into veg as much as possible and you will have a split plant, I have seen very nice results, especially in warm periods when the plant tends to vegetate a lot, in winter we could have a bit of dwarfism but with a lot of resin for sure. So I cleaned everything and cut at the top leaving only the main growth line, called Main Lining, the florets will be lowered during growth and the plant will eventually be like "split" in the main line with the various branches. On photoperiodic plants, however, we will do topping repeatedly, which is not recommended with autoflowering plants so as not to lengthen the times of plants born to finish in 10 weeks. Everything on track . Cut 4 bottom leaves that wer turning yellow. Watering every 2 days right now. Some top leaves are turning yellow. Don't know if I'm under feeding, or something else is wrong. We'll see.

These are starting to get me excited, I'm glad now that I did not cull the 3rd cultivar that was behind, she filled out nicely and is still a bit behind just starting to hit preflower.. however she may end up being the biggest out of the 3 in the long run do to the added veg time.. only thing I don't like about that pheno is she was quite leafy and the bottoms grew a bit wild, however I did the required defoliation and now have her scrogged out in bamboo steaks ✌️

Thank you to everyone for following this journey! The results were nuts. Honestly, I would've been happy with 40g dry as this is my first grow. I DEFINITELY did not expect this outcome which is insane. This gives me so much confidence in my future grows and appreciation for the companies whose products I used. So, now to the point - Dry weight - Top class buds - 176g, smaller buds - 32g, larf/leaves/scissor hash - 26g. To sum up - 208g of product you can smoke and 26g that'll go to edibles. First grow, 2x2 tent, 100w light, three-part fertilizer and cal mag - that's insane, especially because I was expecting nothing more than 60g and like I mentioned, I would've been happy with 40g. I even thought my scale was broken or something went wrong, I still can't believe I pulled 208g of bud. It took 117 days from seed to smoke - that's disregarding the cure. Seed to flower in 42 days. Flower to harvest in 61 days. 14 days drying. Thank you to FastBuds, I've sent them an email about the grow with some questions and got a speedy reply with some pointers towards the end of the flower. Also, I don't have anything to compare this grow with but I had 0 issues with pests which I was really happy about. I didn't have to spray anything on the plants, didn't have a single bug inside the tent. They mention on the website that NL is a very resilient strain so that might've been because of this specific strain. Spiderfarmer light did amazing too - 208g of bud from 100w light!. General Hydroponics did way better than I expected - there's so many companies with multiple bottles of nutrients that expect you to spend ridiculous amounts of money on their products while I got crazy results with just 3 basic bottles. Cal and Mag by Canna worked with no complaints. Takeaways - seems like the runoff pH doesn't matter in coco - I could be wrong but I struggled with coco pH from the very beginning. Regardless, the outcome speaks for itself. Maybe the harvest would've been even better with an optimal pH but in this particular grow, I don't think it mattered much. Before starting this grow I've done A LOT of research and it looks like it most definitely paid off! I was panicking at first because of the slow growth. The plant also had some leaf deformities and the color wasn't as green as I've expected it to be. It was stressful at first, I think especially because I was constantly comparing my grow to someone else's. This specific LST method where I kept rotating the main stem clockwise every day or two paid off as well. The canopy was relatively even and new tops grew crazy fast. The only thing left to do is to cure the bud. I had two 1.5L containers ready for cure/storing since I didn't expect to pull much but had to go acquire a few more "big boys" to fit all the product in, which is a good problem to have. I don't think that I'll be updating the cure here but the plan is to burp 2x/day for 15-30min each time for the first week and 1x/day for 15-30min the second week. After the first couple of weeks I won't be timing the burps. As of now, I've placed boveda 62% packs inside the containers to maintain a RH of at least 58% in the jars. About the Northern Lights strain - the smell hasn't fully returned yet post trim, but it smells like sweet fruits with a hint of black pepper. You can still smell a bit of pine/grass but I think that'll be gone after the cure. Buds are covered with trichomes, they shine like diamonds when you take a better look. Also, the buds look a little airy but are still really dense when pressed. The smoke - It's a tasty, relaxing high. I get why people describe it as night time smoke but for me personally, it grounds me a bit and I can enjoy it anytime. Also, it burns white ash :)) P.S. This is a lengthy diary but I hope that people can learn some stuff from my notes shall they read them! Thanks to everyone that followed the journey, showed support or just browsed through. Hey Growmies, some of you had asked to me if I prepare concentrates.......Yes I do! I don't like modern rosin extraction but instead very rarely I like to smoke some oil. The following is the recipe of cannabis oil made by ancient Mustapha's process. It needs: pharmaceutical grade ethyl alcohol (96.5% by vol.) or 95% for liquors Weed A jar with rounded bottom A lot of time This oil is 5 months aged, from 20 grams of weed I've obtained 3.5 grams of product. Trim previously dried weed (20 grams) and put into a 500 ml jar. Cover with 200 ml of alcohol and leave it partially covered with cap. Let alcohol to evaporate on itself and shake the mixture 2 times a day. The most of the solution will evaporate within 10-15 days. When the solution is evaporated by 2/3 it needs to be filtered between 90 and 120 microns. Now is the time to finish and decarboxylate the solution by heating the jar by bain-marie until the green cream sticks to glass. The jar needs to be refrigerated before you remove the cream with a spatula to transfer it into a smaller jar. Store it in a dark place and open twice in a week for few seconds. You'll obtain a petroleum green/dark amber cream (the green tone will turn into dark brown by time). If the job is well done the surface will crystallize and will shine like a mirror. This cream is insanely sticky. Smoke one drop a time. The collapse is around the corner. Tips: Best results, in terms of flavour/aroma, with single strain Let alcohol to evaporate very slowly, take away some macerated weed (after at least 48 hours infusion) and add new weed/hash pieces little by little. Act as if it were a piggy bank. The final product is a very strong shit, really narcotic.
