Loads of defoliation this week...bushy plant.... I want to avoid small nugs at the bottom

June 24: we’ve had a very cool and rainy June. Quite different than last year at this time when the heat dome was hitting 37 C daily.

Day 49 of this grow and I wish I could be taking better care of these girls but am doing the best I can. Throughout the grow I have done nothing but water once a day with calmag. I will be adding a compost tea in the coming days. I have been dealing with a nasty fungus gnats problem and after changing the environment and spraying. Neem seed oil they are under control. Hopefully things go well from here on out and it’s some 🔥 it smells wonderful already and each having its own unique quality to them! Happy Growing Cheers! 🌱🎄🔥

I still don't have a clue what CA stands for, but she's coming along nicely so far. I think I'm going to try more of a manifold LST with her once she gets a little bigger.

Some of you may have wondered: Why do I use CO2 at average 950 ppfd μmol/m2/s (moral flow)? The answer is quite simple. Because of lack of space in some regions of my cultivation area, I simply cannot keep the ideal distance to my Sanlight high-performance lamp, due to some height growth of various strains. And so some of the main colas have ppfd values of 1250 μmol/m2/s and even more... So this is how I manage to achieve and compensate for such high radiation levels even with a CO 2 balance. And I have to say, my strategy to avoid various light stress symptoms works just fabulously. In combination with CO 2 implementation, my babies are simply unbeatably insensitive to light. Thats it! Beginning of 3rd week flowering: Again feeding my babies by 36 hours fermented potions of Bio Tabs Kompost Tea PK-Booster (15 g pro Liter) and added: 5ml Orgatrex/Liter 1 Spoon of Bactrex 1 Spoon of Mycotrex 1 Spoon of Mycco-Vital 1 Spoon of Dynomyco A little tip for those who are interested in small modifications that have a big difference or influence - on the result - effect - beauty - health - taste! Before adding microorganisms or beneficial bacteria or Mycorrizae and Trichodermas, please use oxygen-saturated water. On the one hand, unwanted chlorine gases evaporate and the small world of the microbiome becomes even faster and more rewarding in compost tea to sprout. Last but not least for this week, I would like to introduce my reasons, why I prefer growing biologically and sustainably. First of all, it’s something which suits very well in these times/days we are living now. Sustainability is a big need and task for our planet. 🌎 Nature means life. Our home, the air we breathe and everything that surrounds us. Not just today. Hopefully tomorrow as well. Maybe I'm starting to protect our environment on a small scale, but maybe I can also make a big difference at all. If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change... I thought about what’s the difference, between Mineral Feeding and Super Soil Feeding. It’s very easy. Biologically Growing is a similar process than the natural soil activities out there in the lap of nature’s. So plants has to work and interact with the microorganisms and microbiomic communities in the soil. So the plants will never get lazy like the lazy ones of mineral feeding growers. If you grow biologically, you will feed the soil first and the microorganisms will support every parameter next to your plant conditions. And that will generate an unbelievable spectrum of Terpenes and Trichomes you will never forget. It’s the same comparison, when you daily visit McDonalds and you eat only fast food. Addendum for Day 53: At the moment we unfortunately have another winter onset here in Germany. This means that I am forced to take additional heating measures due to structural facts in order to be able to keep the temperatures constant. After all, just tonight the thermometer climbs again to -1 degree Celsius. In addition, my exhaust air system runs out of my bedroom terrace and I therefore grow winter and summer with the patio door open. Well, sometimes I experience real weather-related challenges. But all in all, no problem... "Where there's a will, there's a way." Addendum to pouring out the fermented PK tea: I always administer half a liter of lukewarm aerated water with 3.5 ml of cannazyme per liter to each plant. This means that the "root machine" is not supplied with supplies unprepared and the nutrient solution can thus also be better distributed in the soil. Since I also work with cloth shoes, I spray them evenly moistened everywhere with water that is also warm before pouring them out from the outside. This has the advantage that the moisture stays where it should: in the pot! ... I did the math today ;-) We are still in week 7 until this Friday. And week 8 starts on Friday! OMG... still so much time yeahh! Today my Fast Buds Sour Jealousy and Sweet Seeds Big Devil and Dark Devil Automatics arrived. I'm looking forward to it. This time Fast Buds next Time Sweet Seeds. Love them too. Very beautiful genetics. Today a review video of the beginning of week 3. At the time of the pictures, I had minor signs of nitrogen excess. (Light peaks first at the crown of the roof and then slightly continuing to the middle section.) I then painstakingly racked my brains as to why this could be. I found that very slight dry spots had formed and therefore the root found small accumulations of nitrogen that caused its problems. But then, when I carefully homogeneously checked the moisture content in the substrate, the problem evaporated again. However, they had not shown any loss of growth rate during this time. Nevertheless, they developed as expected. They Strawnanas had no problem with that. In the end, I always have a hard time killing them. But I guess that's the way things go. We live and die. What a journey it has been from seed! I made a lot of mistakes in the first few weeks of this growing journey. I feel like I had a mini-crash after finishing the first year of grad school, and although I am growing cannabis as part of my research project, I haven't been the greatest at paying attention to it. This is not an excuse. It has actually been a learning opportunity. I realized that my body needs proper schedules to function and grow, just like a plant. The problems with the plant have really been my own problems. Let's just say that a plant may be the reflection of the grower. First, the light cycles were wrong and inconsistent. I thought that I could manually control the light schedule for the plants and be alright. However, I was wrong. My sleep schedule has been very inconsistent for the past few months. Mainly because we are living through a pandemic, and secondly because I am a graduate student 😂. How naive was it of me to think that a plant could follow my own rhythms? I guess it highlights my 'plant blindness.' Second, the light intensity was low and PH levels high. In the last five days, I have learned that plants are living organisms (I knew this, but my plant blindness is quick to dismiss it, I need to stop fighting these "plant voices" (signals)) that require a proper environment to grow, similar to humans. Of course, a plant is not human, but it is alive and living. It needs water, a regular schedule (light (active) /darkness (rest), oxygen, nutrients, and an overall good environment to grow. Concern about the size of my plant at five weeks, I decided to conduct a few experiments at home. Here are my notes: Friday, July 23, 2021, I took the plant out of the tent at 6:00 AM and placed it in front of my backyard window that faces the Eastside, perfect for sunrise. On that day, I had a few errands to run, and when I arrived home, it was 2:30 PM. The sun was now hitting the West side of my house, and I had to move the plant in front of my bedroom window. At around 7:00 PM, I went to look at the plant and noticed that its leaves were looking plumpy. So, I decided to take a timelapse to see what I would be able to record. During "magic hour" (sunset), I recorded and witnessed the plant moving with the rhythms of the sun. Plant, like humans, function at their best when they are synchronized with their circadian rhythm. The pandemic has definitely disoriented us to the point that it has disrupted all of our schedules. To this day, I feel tired from everything we have all been through; how could I possibly think that a plant would thrive with such a messed-up schedule? The time lapse made me realize that the plant needs some structure to thrive, and so do I. So, as much as I like to think that I can be disciplined and follow a plant's schedule, I cannot. So, I went to the store and bought the Globe Suite smart plug to automate and schedule the light cycle to 12hrs of light and 6 hours of darkness. Saturday, July 24, 2021, the plant woke up to the set schedule of the lights. I checked on the plant first thing in the morning, around 9:30 AM. The leaves look much greener and thicker than they did the day before. Sunday, July 25, 2021. I was away overnight and did not arrive home until 2 PM. The plant looks twice the size it was on Friday! Today, I will water the plant. I got a PH test kit and realized that the way that I measured the PH level, the first few weeks was wrong 🤦‍♀️🏽. I measured the PH correctly, to 5.9, and added some Reefertilizer grow nutrients to the water. I watered from the top, distributing the water evenly around the stem. My partner pointed to me that the lights seemed dim for the stage of the plant's life. So I had my lights set at 100 watts running at 20 % 😅. I realized that I had not increased the light intensity since the first few weeks of vegetation 🤦‍♀️🏽. So I increased the intensity to 100 watts running at 60%. Monday, July 26, 2021. First check-in 7:00 AM: The plant looks like it loves all of the new changes that I have made! It is finally growing 🤗 The sun is out, but it is not as intense as it should be because tiny particles of smoke are present in our air due to the wildfires, and they create a filter that makes the human eye see the sun blood red. It is quite apocalyptic. Regardless, I decided to take the plant out from the tent and record a time-lapse. It is fascinating how much movement plants have despite showing no noticeable signs of movement (to the human eye). Tuesday, July 27, 2021. It has been five days since I have made big changes to the plant's schedule and environment. The plant is finally showing good signs of growth, and its leaves colours have changed to a deep green. I am not watering the plant today, but I am spritzing it with water. I decided to take another time-lapse of the plant, but this time inside the tent. As I was setting up the tripod for my camera, I accidentally increased the humidifier 🤦‍♀️🏽. Luckily, I noticed within a reasonable timeframe and reduced the humidity and made the environment better. I increased the light intensity to 100 watts at 100%. The plant will stay in the tent all day today because it is raining ☔️.

Noticed the seedlings starting to get light green and we started peeing the forever homes that day. We placed soil 5gallon pots in the tent with plants to insure a smooth transition as those roots burst thru the decomposing pots. They got placed in pots Sunday and on full veg nut schedule... by Tuesday..... They we’re thriving! Very satisfied this week!

She's late compared to the other strains in the room, buds are slowly expanding. This might be related to the lack of stretch, she was not supposed to be so compact/short in my plans. Anyway, she has a lot of bud sites, let's see how this goes, hopefully these will fatten up nicely. Thanks for stopping-by! 👊

OMG growing Cosmos F1 from Royal Queen Seeds has been an otherworldly experience! I mean, have you ever seen a plant with a Whorled phyllotaxy mutation? This is plant one and two, plant one cane down 5 days before plant two so didnt get the exact wet weight, 5 days into hang dry plant one weighed 250g, plant two was cut down and chopped for box dry, weighed 200g for the heads and 300g for the lower plant produce, will update when dry and tested

It was such a nice experience for me with this strain, first time ever growing her, she had a little bit of long internodes and thought she wasn't gonna be very productive, however the nuggets are so so hard and compact and the quality is just brutal, doesn't even look like she's s been outdoor grown, I love this strain for the rare strong smell like very sweet and floral with that strange diesel notes mix the sweet tones, I would love be growing her my whole life, I definitely will keep growing this lady FOR SURE!. thank you so much and hope you guys enjoy! 💎🙏🔝💚

It was easy to harvest she was very small jut cut it quickly without stalks the wet weight is 17 g of the buds. Smell is like spicy lemonish smell. This site has changed can not update and edit the comment section. The smoke is nice it is kind of relax and strong high. Not the best but not even bad. I like it.

Runoff ph is a bit high this time. Don’t know why. Around 6.8. Average ph going in is 6.0. Also the big fan leaves on ice cream cakes are kind of strange shaped. Will see how they are going to look later.

So diese Woche kam das umtopfen der ursprünglichen Balkonpflanze #1 in living soil...morgen ab Sonntag wird geflippt auf 12h...schon ganz aufgeregt...meine erste Photo...hab Befürchtung das der Platz im 150x150cm Zelt nicht reichen wird. Von der ursprünglichen Balkonpflanze #2...die ausgewildert wurde (guerilla) hab ich noch keine aktuellen Bilder...aber kommen noch...in der Woche 9 gibts welche...nicht groß...aber sensationele Farbe und Glanz

Growing and growing and growing..... This week i ramped up the ppfd to 750 by also bringing the light a good bit closer. Because i got scared by the crack in the previos week, which now showed, i didnt do any more LST-bending shenanigans, though im quite sure it wouldve been already too late for that, as both of the BPPs were growing some dummy thicc stems! Water dosage ramped up to 2.5L which is or is really close to full saturation. PH in stays at 6,5 and out is now around 6,1 and im happy with that. Each plant received 2 ml/L of activera, biogrow and biobloom and 1 ml/L of topmax respectively. They were really putting on some weight. i mainly defoliated a bit, mostly fanleaves that were blocking budsites. in retrospect, i shouldve more aggressively removed whole sidenodes from the inside, because its getting real crowdy in there now. On the last day of week 5, they were growing some nice Flowersides AND - Plant B already started to make a name for herself - she started to purple up!
