Finaler Grow-Report – Lemon Cherry Gelato Mein erster legaler Grow mit Lemon Cherry Gelato von Barney’s Farm ist fast abgeschlossen – das Curing läuft noch, aber es ist Zeit für ein Fazit zum Anbau! Setup & Bedingungen: Ich habe in einer Spider Farmer 90x90x180 cm Growbox unter der Spider Farmer SF-G3000 (300W LED) angebaut. Als Medium kam BioBizz Light-Mix zum Einsatz, gedüngt wurde mineralisch mit Advanced Nutrients (Grow, Bloom, Micro). Um das volle Potenzial der Pflanzen auszuschöpfen, setzte ich auf Low-Stress-Training (LST) und ein ScrOG-Netz zur optimalen Lichtverteilung. Keimung & Wachstum: Die Keimung verlief problemlos – 4 von 5 Samen sind innerhalb von zwei Tagen aufgegangen. Während der Vegetationsphase entwickelten sich die Pflanzen kräftig und reagierten gut auf das Training. Die ScrOG-Methode half, ein gleichmäßiges Wachstum und eine bessere Lichtnutzung zu erzielen. Blüte & Ernte: Nach etwa 6 Wochen Vegetation leitete ich die Blütephase ein. Die Pflanzen zeigten eine starke Harzproduktion und eine beeindruckende Farbgebung mit einer Mischung aus dunklen Grüntönen, lila Highlights und frostigen Trichomen. Das Aroma war von Anfang an fruchtig und zitronig, mit phänotypischen Unterschieden in der Intensität. Die Ernte fiel mit 300-350 g trockenen Blüten sehr zufriedenstellend aus – für meinen ersten legalen Grow ein starkes Ergebnis. Curing (still in run ): Aktuell lagern die Blüten in 24 Mason Jars (16oz) und einem 2L-CVault, um das Aroma weiter zu entwickeln. Derzeit dominiert eine zitronige Note, während die erhofften Kirsch-Terpene langsam stärker hervortreten. Mein Ziel ist es, die Haze-Noten möglichst gering zu halten und das volle fruchtige Profil herauszuarbeiten – der Prozess ist also noch nicht abgeschlossen. Fazit: Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Grow – die Kombination aus hochwertiger Genetik, gutem Training und präziser Nährstoffversorgung hat sich definitiv ausgezahlt. Die Buds sind harzig, aromatisch und vielversprechend, und ich bin gespannt, wie sich das Curing weiterentwickelt. Der nächste Schritt ist, das perfekte Terpenprofil zu treffen – und das Curing geduldig zu optimieren.

The plants are doing well except for an issue with small rust coloured spots. According the 'The Plant Doctor', the best guess is a calcium deficiency. Increasing CalMag didn't work. Going to try raising the PH up to between 6.2 - 6.4 and see if that makes a difference. (Best absorption PH). Sometimes excess potassium can cause the same symptoms. If raising the PH doesn't work, I'll try knocking back the bloom levels.

none of this bank has given me an abundant harvest hopefully it can be commemorated with its taste smell and knock out

Well I’m closing this one out. I had a lot of problems with humidity outside and bud rot, in hindsight i read a few reviews in the last few weeks and purple kush is susceptible to bud rot. I did 2 separate harvest, one on the 9th and one on the 14th. I collected everything I could smoke, there is still buds left on the plants but because of bud rot and immature buds I’m saying fuck it. Sonoma seeds quotes 9-10 weeks flower i harvested at week 8 and week 9. I harvested just shy of a pound total, and just over and oz of “purple” looking weed. Between you guys and i, the purple one was pretty shwaggy as far as bud goes. Would i grow this again outdoors? NOPE. Would i try it indoors? You will have to stay tuned for my next grow. If you plan to grow this strain outdoors do not do it. The fact that it’s pretty much 100%indica it does not like to get wet,🤦‍♂️🏻 if you are in the desert, indoors or live in Afghanistan (lineage) go for it. The taste is also not quite what I expected, all the reviews say grapes, but i taste a neutral taste. Some of it smells quite good in the jars but as soon as you smell each bud it smells like spicy woody herb with some dank undertone. Trimming it i had some sort of dank spicy smell i just can’t put my fingers on, except it was all over them. The buzz is “ok”but nothing to knock your socks off with. It is a stimulating feeling followed by a calm “not sleepy” feeling. I haven’t grown many outdoor variety’s but I’m sure most of them turn out the same. I’m waiting for my indoor no name to finish and I can start trying to redeem myself with my leftover seeds, and hopefully get the true quality/if there is, with this purple kush strain. So we are in week 2 of flower I ran out of Dutch pro and my hydro shop didn't have any in stock so I had to swap to canna 450ml A&B I've also added some bud blood. So today I did some defoliation to anything below my scrog net and tucked some of the bigger fan leaves to expose the new bud sites. I also raised my light a few inches to allow the ladies to grow into it. 21/5/21 The girls are growing fast I did some defoliation 2 days ago and I had to repeat today 26/5/21 Took some fan leaves off that where blocking bud sites only a small handful needed to be removed, I gave them a feed ppm 946 ph 6.3, bud sites are looking nice and healthy I've got plenty of air flow throughout my tent, have yet to notice any aroma but still very early days. Hey now, was a pretty good week for the Sour D, I didn't really make any changes as far as the nutes, still at EC of 1.6, with water from my dehumidifier, then cal mag, then maxi bloom powder, then liquid kool bloom. Only real issue I had this week was on day 58 I noticed her leaning a little bit, and I went to move her pot, and she almost toppled over. It really scared the crap out of me, so that is why you now see all the wire tires wrapped around her base. Definitely something I will be more mindful of in the future. Still dealing with high temps and humidity, but my dehumidifier has been a real Beast. I will also add that when I open that tent, the smell of Diesel Fuel, and Lemons smack me in the face like a 2x4. I have never smelled anything that pungent before. I am amazed at how well my Terra bloom carbon filter is doing, although I am sure it helps I have an 8x24" inch filter and Infinity T8 exhaust running on the lowest possible setting in my tiny little tent. The girls recovered the same day as the topping last week. They have more than doubled in height and gain nodes quickly. Accidentally was giving wrong dose of nutes last week and corrected it this week. These strains are very hardy so far

Still not given any food at 35 days since popping. She's growing well and I've put her in a 4ltr pot. I've pinched the top out to slow down the vertical growth.

Aug 16: Tropicana Cookies FF is a really fast flowering plant. I’m getting excited for the flowering progress cuz it looks like it is going to be a big one. Very exciting and we’re still only at mid-August so the timing is very good for a strong finish in September without it dragging into October.

Here we are, last week of feeding! She has been showing the first ambers begining of the week so I don't want to wait too long before harvest. Week 11 will be flush week. I really love this pheno; how it looks, smells and I hope tastes! The buds have nicely grown in size this last two week and trimming should be quite easy on this one! 😘 I realize I did't take global pics this week so next week before harvest I'll make plenty of them. But, I made a video attempt trying to film in macro and I already feel sorry for those of you that will get sick watching it... 😨 With this level of zoom it is so difficult to have a smooth travelling and no shaking, especially when you have to manually live focus. I will improve my skills for the harvest video!

Day 36. Girls are flying !!! Was comparing my previous dairies here and they look really good, have in mind, two heavy waves of training involved, each time i had a bag full of leaves ... One more training and i think on day 42 its 24 hours of darkness and FLOWEEEEERRRR ;)) Day 37. Its hard to add anything, because everything going kind off well ;)))) Last night watered them with 6.2 ph, they stop drinking, at least as fast as before, usually my ph is 6.5-6.8, but sometimes i drop to 6.2-6.4 for one feed in a month or so ..SweetSeeds don't like that trick ... Still leaves praying, loads of new grows after each night , just Kushes overgrew others a bit. Will supercrop them soon. Day 39. All is going smooth, they drink biobizz nutes feed in one day, phed water in 2, so you would want to overfeed them, Kushes could eat more 4sure now. Installed last wall fan. Now setup is full... Kind off ;))) need to find exhaust silent and powerfull 5 inch fan ... Day 41. This is official - JUNGLES !!! ;) Change in plans : Killer Kushes are moved to veg/dry tent, Autos started there will come instead of them. Thinking that way ill lower canopy a bit and make more space for rest 8. Tomorrow it will be done together with heavy training for Skunks and Cheeses. They will be sent to flower at the end of next week. Happy Growing !
